Location was good, it was 10mins walk away from Tai Chung station. If you are looking to go Sun Moon Lake or Nan Tou, the express bus station is nearby. It is also very close to 2nd Market which is a popular breakfast place. It was a less than 10mins walk. Room was relatively spacious. There is also a bakery just beside the hotel. Staff also helped to turn on the aircon before check in as it was very hot. There was also snacks and drinks provided for free.

It was a very pleasant experience. I was surprised that it is considered 3 star because it really should be a 4 star hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and accommodated a lot of room for our luggages. The beds themselves were bigger than expected. They provided free complimentary tea and coffee everyday. There was even a shower mat.

There wasn’t a proper hand soap, only a bar of soap (whcih was tiny and didnt feel very clean). The shower head was broken - it could not hold up by itself so it was very inconvenient when showering. The bathroom could be bigger.

The design of the hotel is art deco and very stylish - gives us a bit of a New York vibe! The rooms are very comfortable and well designed and very clean! The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided us with non-down pillows as my wife is allergic to feathers and even gave us a little gift as it was our honeymoon. It’s also located in City Center with a lot of great attractions, eateries, cafes. Near the famous Miyahara, old train station, Taiwan Connection Urban park and a lot more. It also has great CP! The hotel was so great that we have already booked for another stay!

The only thing to note is that the sound-proofing while good, could be a bit better.

The hotel is located really close to the train station, so it is very easy to start your journey here. The room is comfy with plenty of space. It is very clean and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have its own parking space. The private parking spaces around the area are very overpriced and in bad condition. As it is close the the station, parking at the side of the road is very difficult to find too. It's not recommended if you drive. It's a shame the bar is permanently closed (I think this needs to be mentioned on the website) because there's another local bar next door. But there are plenty of other bars around the area, so it's not too difficult to find a nightcap.

An excellent boutique hotel in the middle of Taichung’s central district or old town area - super convenient for transportation, only 25min on the bus from the High Speed Rail station. Hotel is walking distance to all the foodie locations & also super convenient with buses. We had a large king bed room on the 8th floor and it was very spacious - suited our needs perfectly. The exterior & interior design of the hotel is in an art deco style. Best feature of all - Japanese toilets! Well done BlueSky Hotel & thank you for your hospitality!

This was our first typhoon and we were uncertain about what to expect. We felt very safe at Bluesky Hotel. The staff members were kind and reassuring and the building structure sturdy. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. There are restaurants, a bakery, POYA, convenience stores, shops, and the Central Bookstore nearby. It might be easy to miss the nice lounge area as it’s tucked away on the 2nd floor but it’s a cozy place for reading or to have a light take-out dinner. We spent 5 nights.

Shower curtain could be sturdier as it is easy for water to leak on the floor. It can be slippery. Not really an issue if you’re careful.

Love the retro design, room is spacious and clean. Walking distance to the train station and famous landmarks. Nice local food all around.

The room is not great in terms of soundproofing - we hear doorbell ringing every morning for our entire stay here and they can be as early as 8am. We heard twice for the first day, three times for the second morning and once for the checkout day. We enabled do not disturb so they are for the other rooms, and even though the sound is light it still disrupted our sleep considering we're not morning people.

Centrally located within Taichung, well-positioned to explore the Second Market, various museums and central sights such as the Miyahara Eye Clinic and the train station/railway park (plus close to important trunk lines in the city's excellent bus network). The room was thoughtfully laid out and the welcome bag with local snacks was a nice touch. Staff were welcoming and wanted to make sure we could find everything we needed, which we did. (People with a fear of heights may prefer the elevator on the left in the lobby as the elevator on the right has windows so you can see yourself getting higher and higher above the street.) Bedding was comfortable and temperature in the room was easy to keep comfortable.

No real complaints - we wish our stay in the city had been longer! One brief idiosyncrasy is that the "do not disturb/make up room" light indicator does not work if you take your keycard out of the slot that allows the room to be powered - the staff suggested that we should simply leave one of our two cards in the room, but this seemed a little silly to us since it defeats the purpose of having an electricity-saving slot! This is very minor though and honestly the staff was very accommodating - when we noted this at the front desk, in addition to suggesting that we leave a card in the room they also made sure to note our room number down so that housekeeping wouldn't go in when they weren't needed.

This hotel was so comfortable. We had everything we needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The decor was very relaxing. We really enjoyed being in the space when we were not out and about. There is a popular bakery on the corner, to the right as you exit the hotel. Delicious croissants, matcha honey cake, pineapple cake, spring onion roll. We had to put our breaks on the day we decided to let ourselves loose in the bakery. Highly recommend getting at least one item from here. There is a cute cafe around the corner from the bakery called “bathe in moonlight “. If you appreciate a great coffee and enjoy a quiet space, I highly recommend this one. I loved the lemon iced coffee and matcha latte. We also had the pancakes and apple pie. We were hoping to return on our last day for another round of pancakes and apple pie, but our travel schedule changed and it didn’t happen. Please try, you will not be disappointed. Location 10/10. Close to train/bus station. A 20 minute walk to some cool shopping malls (LalaPort with a north and south wing).

Bed very large and comfortable, bathroom including bath spacious with japanese-style toilet. Location is good, close to Taichung station, central attractions and the bus stop for Sun Moon Lake. Snack bag and drinks provided free (bag itself is not free). Soundproofing perfect, was very noticeable how the sound from next door jumped up when leaving the room.

Unusual styling choices? Front and lobby are art deco but rooms don't match and significant areas of exposed concrete so unsure if this is intentional or if construction/renovation is ongoing.
