What really made the stay memorable was the staff. The front desk team was efficient during check-in and genuinely friendly rather than rehearsed. As well the servers at the restaurant and bar tenders in the lounge, they take pride in knowing their guests, and made us feel like we were the most important guests at the hotel. When I asked about local restaurants, the concierge provided recommendations tailored to my preferences instead of just handing me a generic list. This hotel manages to balance charm and functionality while employing people who seem to actually enjoy their jobs. I'd happily return on my next visit to the area.

We got a room upgrade and what an upgrade it was! The room was big, airy, it had the flair of Formula 1 history, but was kitted up with the latest technology. The bathroom was huge and the shower so spacious you could've fit three people in there. The staff was super kind and helpful. From the front desk staff to the cleaning ladies to the bar and restaurant staff - everyone greeted us with a smile and a friendly word. Would love to come back. Also, the restaurant and the bar deserve top scores!

Nothing to complain about, really.

The hotel was simply superb, from the staff and accommodation to the exceptional breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and surrounding area right across from the Royal Palace of Savoy and its gardens. This was, by far, the most luxurious, opulent hotel we've ever stayed in, but with a very unpretentious, homey and welcoming feeling. As if you stepped back in time, but with all the modern amenities you could ask for. And Monza in August has just the right number of tourists to be interesting without being crowded. Only downside: we missed the Formula 1 race by a weekend. But all the more reason to return to this quaint Italian city and one-of-a-kind Hotel de la Ville Monza!

The hotel is a luxurious jewel box. The pretty courtyard, the front desk staff and beautiful lobby set the tone for a caring stay. There is a lot of window dressing with a melange’ of vintage, antique furnishings and decor. I appreciated the beautiful finishes, the partially uncovered frescos in the staircases, the art pieces throughout the hotel and in the elevators. The room was clean and cosy, the bed was luxuriously comfortable, the bathroom had great water pressure and the fixtures were substantial and in keeping with the property. The entire staff was peerless as was the service in the restaurant, down to the thoughtfulness of having a beautiful perch for ladies handbags. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared and presented, the wine selection was magnificent.

An oversight of this luxury hotel was the lack of staff to load luggage into the car on a early rainy morning checkout and a lack of umbrellas 🤔 The bedside table drawers lacked glides and stops, therefore, they did not close properly and one drawer had a partial bottom…vintage gone wrong. The modest quality of the tassel was not befitting the room 🗝️ it was attached to also, some of the art showed pieces broken off revealing it’s inauthentic nature…the hotel has many strength but misses some details.

location is great - reception, the lady that looked after me was awesome - the place is old-world quaint - the bed was comfy and the bathrobes were large

the fine dining experience was poor - let me explain, chef your food was excellent, the Amuse-bouche was a delight - each dish was more pump than circumstance which was exaggerated by the waiters that could not bring the pairing at the right time - my waitress was a delight - but the men! this was a demonstration of male chauvinism. sexism - please join the 21st century. to top all of this a Boar-Celeb of some sort was in and the men fond over him like dogs in heat - so my experience of the fine dining was too expensive for the actual experience - my advice to to the chef - get out of the kitchen and take charge of the experience the men are letting you down.

The best prove is that I am keeping staying in this hotel again and again It is a tailor made, and service is very friendly Even if something cannot be done for whatever reason, the hotel manager to not let guest feel uncomfortable or not taken care of. Despite there are some reconstruction works in progress, I never felt inconvenience about that or ever noticed that And of course , the restaurant of the hotel deserves a special compliments It’s just fantastico

This is a very special type of hotel, where you feel like you are at home, and the family feeling is there. Since it is not a huge hotel, normally guests will be called by name at the reception And I never had any issues with any requests, to help with parking or find an umbrella, to make some food even a restaurant is already closed or to get something special, outside menu. Th restaurant is excellent, exceptionally nice, it deserves to get Michelin starts, but then it will be impossible to get there. This time I stayed in the room 214, and I believe this is one of the best if not the best, with the beautiful Italian balcony and great view in the castle and park of roses.

It’s all great, nothing to name “do not like”

This hotel is exceptionally good in all the ways: it’s unique design with an excellent and elegant collection of authentic furniture and pieces from the past, it’s remarkable service including all the great hotel team, it’s great location within Monza, just in a perfect way to the Castle, Park and the old city center with Duomo of Monza Its also true the guest can feel here like a good friend or part of the family, the feeling you can rarely get lately in the hotel. And the meal are also great: authentic and delicious.

The hotel lately became a part of the Hilton group, and over the sudden the perfect breakfast, that always included omelet (or some other simple things) became for a fee, I believe this big guys just do not have a clue what real loyalty is and how much does it cost (spoiler: it’s priceless) that is why whey want to show some “financial approach” which apparently harm the great unique small luxury hotel of Italy

The service at this hotel is outstanding. Everyone we interacted with was so professional and so welcoming and not obsequious. We felt like welcomed guests. Our first interaction when we checked in was to learn we had been upgraded to a superior room. When we learned that the restaurant was booked for the evening, they found us a table which was perfect for a romantic dinner. Our room was excellent, including a little walk out patio on the roofline where we enjoyed a glass of wine. Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding- also with excellent service. But the most memorable part of this restaurant was their breakfast. Unbelievable range of breakfast options- fresh fruit and meats, all kinds of breads and pastries, eggs, bacon, salmon, cereals, and so much more. Topped off with fruit juices, prosecco, and a cappuccino what more could you ask for? Presentation was memorable. It filled an entire beautiful room and was very artfully displayed. Location was excellent for visiting Milan for a day trip. Hotel gave us excellent tip to take bus and metro rather than the train. They also recommended a really fun local restaurant we could walk to from the hotel for our second night there. All in all, we could not have asked for a better experience for our first visit to Italy. Grazie mille to the entire staff and support team at this hotel. It deserves the designation "small luxury hotel of the world".

Access was challenging if not travelling by car. We arrived by train and took the bus. It worked but we should have taken a taxi. We took taxi back when we checked out.

The interior, the atmosphere, the hospitality, the three different seating areas for food/drinks, the room and a big bonus was the sauna house on the cold rainy days! The personal connection and authenticity of the staff was highly appreciated, especially one man in the bar asked questions on why I was in Italy and so on. These kind of interactions are more valuable than any polite phrase. I also appreciated the exception of lending me two small lamps for more careful lighting when having a bath. Very kind.

Staying four night at the hotel, I had a plan on eating at the hotel every night, but I didn’t experience the menus as designed for this. 6 courses was way too much, but cool that the option is available. For the main courses there was only 5 options and they all included meat (I’m a pesceterian). I truly wished the focus on the menu would be more sustainable with locally produced délicatesses.
