It's not my first time in the hotel, so no surprises: the location is excellent, the rooms clean and spacious. Definitely excellent value for the money. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Mostly quiet rooms, we could hear some noise through the walls, but not much. The hotel was fully booked, so not a big surprise.

During cleaning, we were left with only one set of towels for two persons. Naturally this was fixed quickly, but still should not have happened. Breakfast was unimpressive. It's very basic (has all the must-haves like bacon, eggs, muesli, toast, juice, etc. - but nothing extra) and not expensive, but still nearby cafes offer better value and a fresher selection.

Barclay exceeded my expectations. We got a spacious room on 5th floor (4. kerros). It faced to the quiet backyard in shadow of the beautiful woods on Toomemägi. So the room was quiet and fairly cool despite hot weather and we were able to keep the windows open all night which allowed us very good sleep. Good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. The hotel is situated in the old city and a few steps from restaurans, cafes, shopping centers and bus station. Excellent price/quality ratio.

The lift was a bit slow but worked well. The Finnish Kone ❤️

A nice hotel in the historical centre of Tartu, situated within a little bit than a ten minutes' walk from the bus station (with luggage) and just a few paces from the market square. I had a late connection, so I arrived after 10 p.m., but this was not a problem, the reception was staffed and English-speaking. I got a quiet room with a view towards a park. Breakfasts were good, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful. There is a lift leading to the upper stages. If I ever come back to Tartu, there are strong chances that I choose the same hotel.

The only thing I did not like was the night lamp near the bed: the cable was too short to get to the nearest power socket, so I was unable to use the lamp. Someone forgot the extension cord.

It's one of the best hotels. Don't know why there were some bad comments. The lobby is clean and comfortable with an original design.  The room is big with two separate beds, a wardrobe, a fridge, a TV, a regulated radiator. A good bathroom has a floor with regulated heating. We were in winter (-18 C⁰) and it was very warm and comfortable.  There is a lift that is very important when you are with suitcases. Moreover,  the place of the hotel is marvellous. Last but not least the girls at the reception are always kind and helpful.

Two days in a raw our room wasn't cleaned despite the fact that we put the notice on the door outside the room.

The staff was really helpful and friendly always willing provide support. Whenever together with a collegaue we needed an iron it was provided, when we wanted to have breakfast really early in the morning (4am), it was also provided, the lady even gave us the plastic wrapping to wrap our sandwiches in. The room was spacious and bright, it had windows looking to the city center. Barclay hotel exceeded my expectations.

Location couldn't be better for travellers without a car, situated right between the bus station and the old town centre. Very comfy beds and quiet. Helpful staff, with a 24-hour reception. Breakfast was a good standard breakfast, but fresh bread rolls instead of just toasting bread would have been a welcome addition. Would come again.

I liked the great location - it is in the very centre and at the same time very calm area. The staff was extremely friendly. The building itself historical with unique style. The room has nice space. The breakfast was fine. All facilities functioned well. In front of the hotel there is a wonderful park.

The breakfirst was fulfilling, thank you. Also, as soon as all the night-party-guests in their rooms were sleeping, the hotel became lovely and quiet place to stay.. Reception ladies were all friendly and helpful, and the same compliment belongs to the lady from the breakfirst area. I could open the bedroom windows for fresh air which is another bonus :) The view was beautiful.

The noise factor, very loud neigbours.. and night-club bass-rhythm was a surprise to hear therefore getting to sleep was a challenge. Unfortunately the carpet had more stains than clean areas on it.. a lot of stains!

Centrally located hotel with standard 3* facilities and with no specific ambitions but offering good value for money (including cold drinks for those who arrive late), and in this sense competitive with more luxury but much more expensive properties.

A minor aspect: Breakfast has some room for improvement and is provided only until 09:00.

Location was great. Only a 10 minute walk along the river to the bus station, and a 2 minute walk to the Town Hall Square. Lovely old hotel, very dated, and a bit dark, but clean and tidy. Basic room with ensuite bathroom. Perhaps a bit pricey for what it was, realistically, it was in a good position. Free apples for guests on the Reception desk.
