Everything is fine, unless there are guests in neighboring rooms, it is very, very quiet. It's like a manor house in the countryside. We had room 2 and it is combined with room 1. If one is with children, it is very convenient as there is a door between the rooms. The furniture is old, wooden. Clean linen, comfortable pillows and mattress! This is a great rarity. Every day discreetly we were cleaned the bed and cleaned the floor. We had no time to have breakfast and already clean and tidy room 😊. By the way, you can take a kettle or cutlery at the bar (it's such a separate big old lounge) There is a rooftop sauna - you have to ask the owner to turn it on 30 minutes in advance. The thermae were cold, so we decided not to use it If arriving after 22:00, you will have to call and wait for the host to arrive. We waited about 20 minutes as the phone left was not answered. It's hard to find a parking nearby, but you can. Overall, would recommend

In the shower, the shower head itself does not pass water well, so it is not very comfortable to wash. I had to take it off:) I recommend the owners to replace this shower head in room 2.

The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and very caring. The rooms are very nice but the bed was unfortunately a bit uncomfortable. The roof terrace with the sauna is of course a highlight. Only the very unfriendly and grumpy kitchen lady wasn't so nice. We borrowed coffee cups in the morning and were given two pretty shabby ones. Nevertheless, the lady constantly gave us the feeling that we wanted to steal some of the old and pretty broken dishes. The owner was there briefly but was very arrogant and unfriendly. All in all, still very nice, but the hospitality could be improved. The positive exception here is the very friendly and really great young man at reception. However, the owners and the kitchen should not constantly give the feeling that you are not actually wanted as a guest.

Great breakfast, egg dishes were tasty, as was almond cake. Really comfortable bed. Enough free parking space on the street ( in January). Peace and quiet. Spirit of the old times. Beautiful property, tastefully restored with respect to history. Kind and helpful staff.

Breakfast was really nice, so this is not really critics, more like observation. So, they usually run out of tomatoes pretty quickly and then the lady brought literally three more slices and they were taken the next second. After five minutes she brought next three slices and people were already waiting so they were gone in an instant… repeat until we left for the day. Also, in the shops we saw wide variety of local cheeses, but at breakfast they only served some generic bland kind.

It's a very nice place, quite different and definitely unique! Set in the hilly area of San Miguel, so be prepared for some very steep inclines! We were grateful for the air conditioning as it was extremely hot during our stay. We enjoyed the "Thermal" underground pool, so relaxing! The breakfast was nice, quite simple but adequate, eaten in the little patio area. The room was lovely, the bed nice and big, the comfort level was ok. We also appreciated the help we were given to arrange a taxi when we left, thanks!

We felt there were a few too many rules/do's and dont'ts such as you're not supposed to dry your bathing suit on your terrace! In fact, it would be a great idea to have a folding clothes rack provided for this purpose. It would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, it was a bit exorbitant to have to pay for a cuppa that you had to make yourself in the 'bar' room. Also, a fridge provided in the room would be helpful, considering the hotel is fairly isolated it would have been nice to be able to have a snack etc in the fridge but another rule states "no food in the rooms"!

Silence. It was simply outstanding, very quiet. The mattress was comfy, the style of the room was very nice. The stuff was very polite. The neighbourhood is very calm and quiet. I was always capable of finding the parking nearby.

I need to say, that here you need to understand that you're going for rural location, and hence some drawbacks are unavoidable, such as weak water pressure, or some of stuff (not all) not speaking English Wi-fi was very weak. There were no cups in the room, only at the bar, where the tea was for an additional fee. The pillows are very thin Breakfast had very little choice. I understand why, because the hotel is very small. Perhaps it might benefit to switch from the buffet style to the ordering. This way less food goes to waste and you can balance orders, because for example, 5 slices of tomato as the whole vegetable representation is just sad.

- no non-smoking policy in the interior gardens of the hotel. Not nice if other guests are smoking in front of your room or breakfast... - jaccuzzi was not clean - water of the cave pool was very cold, so unusable - breakfast was sometimes so-so, depending on who was running it. Hours are somewhat limited (8-10) and after 9h30 replenishing was limited. - No anemities (kettle, coffee, small fridge...) in the hotel room. Though coffee and thee available at the bar at any time.

The staff is very friendly and available to satisfy every request as much as possible The location is good if you're looking for a very quiet place to sleep, but you need to rent a car to see the island They have a little but comfortable pool/jacuzzi and a tiny but nice sauna The breakfast is delicious, every morning the cook brought to every table fresh eggs cooked in different ways, the other products (bread, fruits, jam) are local and fresh Our room was wide with a nice window to see the garden, the bed was really wide and comfortable

I only suggest to get an internal renovation, the building deserves it, and to improve the lights in the bedroom which were a bit low

Warm welcome (David and Juan on reception both very helpful), beautiful old building with amazing character which was very atmospheric, bath in cave with jacuzzi was wonderful after hiking, lovely terraces, good restaurants nearby.

For the first four nights we stayed in Rm 11 which was beside a road and early morning cars driving by disturbed the peace. It was off a hallway that has a bad odour which they said was the wood but was definitely to do with drainage. The breakfast needs to be improved, the coffee is really bad, and I would have loved some good wholemeal bread and fruit - the only fruit we saw were over ripe bananas which were awful. I would advise the property to charge just a few euro more and use this to improve the breakfast. We stayed in Rm 4 for four nights too which was accessed via the beautiful common area and a terrace, and this was MUCH nicer than Rm 11, it also had its own terrace.

This was a unique place, every room different from the other ones, but still all of them very nice, spacious and cozy. Rooms and shared areas, the garden, all done in the spirit of the old times. We had our private terrace, too, allowing us to spend a lot of time there. Friendly staff, trying to be of help and accommodate all the wishes you might have, which was very much appreciated. Last, but not least, the perfect location to explore the South of Tenerife, but also not too far away from sights and places in the Nord. Just a walking distance from a few very nice places for eating out. Very good breakfast. Highly recommended place and the entire experience there.

There might have been a bit more choice for breakfast, especially for guests staying longer than three days. A fridge in the room could make the stay better in a hot place like Tenerife.

The room was really big and the bed was comfortable. Also the breakfast was really good. As a kitchen surprise an omelett was provided for us without ordering it. Cleaning of the room was on high level and it was done on daily basis. We had booked and paid the stay of three nights, but for some unplanned reasons we had to leave one day earlier. The hotel staff was flexible and returned the money of the last night. You could loan from the reception two books about the history of the hotel, with a lot of earlier vs. today pictures from the same place. It was really interesting, highly recommended!
