This time I had a small room with a single bed but cosy, clean and warm. It’s freezing in Vilaflor in January when the sun has gone! Bathroom is new, everything working, pleasant. It had all that a mountaineer may need, most of the time you spend in the forest and mountains anyway. On top of it was breakfast, simple but sufficient. Good start for a day out. They also have a sitting room with TV and games for everyone where one can help oneself to drinks, tea&coffee is free others at some charge. Overall, it still pays as simple in places but good, each room is different though, nice historical building with lots of sunshine in the main square of the village.

The small room had little ants, luckily not in bed but they were examining all I brought in and some of them travelled in suitcase to my next hotel. I’m not sure if there’s anything else to do in the village apart from hiking, driving and be off in the mountains. It didn’t look like so, especially at weekend all is closed: shops, restaurants, no people. The two churches may be open at times though.

For a bunk bed it was quite comfortable and didn't make any creaking noises when somebody moved. Room was clean and the bathrooms were excellent. Location was ideal for exploring the Teide national park, only a 30-40 min drive away. Parking isn't far from the entrance of the hotel (up a small hill) and was free.

There weren't really any good vegan options for breakfast. Some plant-based milk, cheese or yogurt alternatives would have gone a long way to making the breakfast a little more exciting, especially given I informed them a week or two in advance of staying that I am vegan. There wasn't really much noise insulation from the room to the hallway so you'd be woken up by the first guests who would leave their rooms. Also the room faces the road so you can hear when each car passes by - luckily it's a small town so there isn't much traffic at night!

My In-Laws had stayed here previously, so when I was looking at staying up in the foothills of the coronal forest area, this venue jumped out at me during my search. When we got there the clear communication for the self check in service was excellent, meaning we checked into our rooms without a single hitch. As we were getting settled, the hostess looking after the venue happened to be in, so introduced themself and helped us to get situated and we were made to feel very welcome. She even gave us a few tips on where to go in the area, plus times for eating locations and shops etc as were in a slightly off-piste less tourist location and therefore might get caught out with earlier restaurant eating times. As the In-laws also came to join us in Vilaflor, they were given a slightly more in-depth tour showing what progress had been made on the hotel since their last visit. After going around the hotel, and exploring the wonderful town, we came back to Ziggys to relax in the garden/pool area. whilst we did not get in to go swimming, we did enjoy sitting around the pool having a nice drink [with safe plastic glasses] whilst paddling our feet/legs in.

Nothing really of note. The lower garden area beyond the pool is under-utilised at the moment and think it would be a great area for perhaps a BBQ area or something like that.

We liked the typical Canarian old building. The room 8 was super cosy and beds vere very comfy. Perfect pillows and duvets. The externaal bathroom was ok. The breakfast was good, not much selection but it was enough and a very good coffee. English ladies who take care of the hotel vere very very nice. We must appreciate a living room where you can prepare a cup of tea or buy some beverage from the fridge.

Unfortunatelly we were robbed from our locked cara few metres above Vilaflor at the car park Pino Gordo. Please be aware and do not leave anything in your car - not even for 5 mins! They took us everything - bags, money, passports, everything. They are very smart and unmerciful. It was horrible experience. There are groups of thieves working on in touristic places of National Park Teide. They take advantage that you are amazed and ocuppied by taking pics of those beautiful places and they destroy your holidays. But the hotel staff was very helpful and nice. It was very cold inside, central heating did not work but there was a heater extra which was great! It was too cold for swimming pool. Its not possible to swim there in March unfortunatelly. Otherwise it would be great.

The couple taking care of the place really made me feel at home. The breakfast was good and the house is located nicely in the middle of the historic center of Vilaflor.

The weather was really bad and it was pretty cold in the house. I basically was wearing my jacket the entire time.

Super friendly, full of hospitality owners. Stuart is very helpful, kind and has great sense of humor. My full and true recommendation 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

To be honest nothing, except for maybe a small shower, but this is not a real complaint. All is super clean, tidy and comfortable. Good breakfast and perfect atmosphere.

When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Stuart and Julie who made us feel very welcome. The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean. The location was fantastic, very peaceful and traditional. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be going back very soon. Thank you Stuart and Julie for a wonderful stay

Location, the old building in front of a nice square, good breakfast spent on a nice room with a good view

Self checkin: we had serious problems to open the door at late night, it doesn't work well. After 1 hour we manage to open it, after many many times we tried to do that! Nobody responded at my call. Room number 1 is by the street, with windows so thin: the first car in the morning woke up at 7!

Wonderful old house, lots of soul to it. Great location, cozy Mountain village and park outside. Friendly staff.

Beds are a bit hard, but not worse then General so typical spanish hardness. Small fridge in room would be good. Most importantly, there is a small topwindow above door - here it would be good with blinds to keep light feom hallway shining in.
