I like the layout of the property which lends itself to privacy. I appreciate the tile floors which are cleaner than carpet. The Heritage suite had a king bedroom , 1 1/2 baths, and a separate sitting area with pullout sofa sleeper and small kitchen area. There were two private balconies- one off of the bedroom and one off of the sitting area.
I miss having a coffee shop on the premises (years ago there was one) and I miss the old Stagecoach Inn restaurant which was an iconic restaurant with historical significance. Unfortunately, as time has passed, I-35 has become noisier and has made access more challenging.

The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are so unique and stylish! Balcony was a lovely amenity. The entire property is very well kept & newly refreshed. Love the robes although we didn’t use them, they are cute! Great location, walking distance to all the shops & such. The vibe of this place is great all around, wish we would have had a chance to check out the pool & patio, ect!
Lots of noise at night. Maybe due to the tile flooring, but I heard my neighbor’s every footstep until about 2 am; then starting again at 6 am. They do provide a sound machine in the room so I’m assuming they are aware of this issue & are working to resolve what they can. Also the parking lot is a bit confusing especially at night, needs some better lighting for sure!

Still had much of the old school charm and I thought the room updates were adequate and nice without going overboard. Pool was large and area around it lush and pretty. Bed was comfortable. Everything was sufficient for what I would expect. Restaurants and bars just an easy trip down the road from this location.
Few minor things. Pool a little murky but I can imagine it’s hard to keep perfect with the size of it. Just needs a little more attention I think. Need towels at the pool but I can understand that guests probably create a mess with towels everywhere after I saw how much trash people left behind after their swim. Check in was a little confusing but got through it fine. Would be nice to have the old restaurant back in action someday. None of these things were deal breakers for me.

visited this hotel when it was the stagecoach inn as a child. i love the grounds and looks like part of the hotel is renovated and other buildings are yet to be done. I think it has gone thru a change of hands recently. It is a large facility. They allow dogs which is important for us. Ours are well mannered and we strive to be good pet owners.
We weren't aware that the famous restaurant was under renovations so we were not able to eat there. A clump of hair was in the shower and several dead bugs around the room which makes me think it hadn't been used in a while.

The view from the secluded balcony was relaxing, the bed was comfortable, the in-room coffee was very tasty, the traffic noise from the nearby interstate was not an issue. The staff was customer and service focused!
We plan to return once the restaurant is open. There was a bit of an issue with the water temperature as the maintenance and facilities team were working to provide modern comforts while retaining the historic infrastructure of the hotel. Hotel management were excellent in helping resolve the temporary issue!

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the vibe of the place is super cool!
We didn't have a mini fridge or microwave in our room, which we found very strange and disappointing. I feel like those two amenities are a given in a modern hotel room (especially at $160 per night). Otherwise, it was wonderful, but we were disappointed in the lack of resources provided in the room.

Location was great - right in the heart of things. Short walk to just about anything you'd like to do. Really unique and cool entrances to the rooms, great over-look on the courtyard area, looks like during spring/summer it's even better for family events, etc.
We were in a building toward the back of the property; the building next to us was clearly out of service for repair, etc. I'm sure this was planned and it didn't take away from the stay. Also, maybe it was because it was night - but it took us a loop around the property to figure out where to check in, it was a little confusing until we figured out the lay of the land.

The location was perfect even though right downtown seemed & felt secluded
Not having at least a mini fridge. Fiancé is type 1 diabetic meaning need to keep insulin cold. Luckily I looked through enough photos to take note of no fridge & we brought a cooler. It was a bit rough having to carry it up & down since we were on second floor. Even just the smallest ones enough to keep medical supplies cold would’ve been nice to have.

The grounds were beautiful and clean. Beautiful foliage and outdoor amenities. The staff was attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable!
Wish there had been more hooks in the room. We were awoken by the upstairs occupants several times. The upstairs noise was excessive and disruptive to our stay.

A quaint, boutique lodging experience. An interesting layout in the multiple buildings. Despite a certain rustic charm, the facilities were modern and updated. Great water pressure in the shower which was not the case in another, supposedly MORE modern location during this trip. The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation for a meal and she immediately provided one. I ended up checking out the local pizza instead (which was pretty darn good!), but I was appreciative of her responsiveness.
The parking situation is not great. I was a bit nervous having to pull over to one side around a rather narrow circular road. Given the location, though, I suspect alleviating that would be next to impossible. The couch was kinda weird; more like it was intended to be kind of like a futon intended to double as a bed. It was comfortable enough to watch tv.
