The location is excellent. I first thought that the remote setting might be a disadvantage for travellers without a car, but I was wrong! The hotel is perfectly connected to Kaiserslautern Central Station (by foot 20-30 minutes) by E-Scooter (TIER) and sharing Bikes, it takes about 10 minutes and costs less than 5€ to get to the hotel. The restaurant (Biergarten) has a big variety of excellent German cuisine and also surprisingly many vegan options! The prices are low if you compare it to similar restaurants in German cities. Because of the remote location you will enjoy a peaceful sleep. The area is great for a walk in the nature. By a 30 minute footwalk you can reach the Humbergtower which offers an amazing view over the landscape and the city of Kaiserslautern. If travelling with kids: There are two large playgrounds in the area (one directly in the restaurant and one in the forest about 5 minutes away). There are plenty of parking options directly next to the building. The breakfast offers a good self-service buffet. There´s everything you need. Nothing special to mention here. There is a 24/7 staff available in the building. Although booking.com mentions "Fitness" in facilities, there are no such options in the hotel. Maybe they mean the great options to run or hike in the beautiful nature.

I was surprised that you have to pay at checkout. There is no option of payment in advance. Be sure to plan 5 minutes ahead of checkout for payment handling. There is a climate control device in the room but it did not really work. It is definitely no usual A/C because there are no vents in the room. So I was wondering how to control the temperature in my room because it was really hot during the day. As a result I had to sleep with windows opened. Early birds be aware that the buildings walls and doors aren´t very soundproofing. It´s no big issue because there are so few rooms. But if you are planning to sleep early make sure to bring earplugs.

The serene location was exactly what we needed to get over our jet lag. The hills are full of well-marked walking trails, with one leading up to the Humberg Tower. Our room was surprisingly large with the most amazing water pressure in the shower. The room overlooked the Biergarten, which we could not hear from our room. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the traditional German breakfast was delicious.

Great place to relax away from city life. Peaceful. Yet, even the locals were enjoying the beer garden. We had 4 meals there in 2 days. All were good and a good value. Clean, comfortable rooms. Homey and warm atmosphere, beautiful setting.

No elevator. But you may receive help with luggage from staff as we did.

This is a wonderful place to stay in K-town. The food for all three meals was excellent, and the staff accommodated my requests. Disabled guests should be made aware on the web site that there is no elevator, though! A lovely place to stay.

This was our 2nd visit to the Hotel. Everyone is very helpful and we really enjoyed ourselves again. It is nice that there are plenty of places to go of exploring from the hotel without using your car.

Family run hotel. At least one family member was on site at all times, usually 2 or more. Mr. Bremer worked late into the night and was part of the early morning crew. The family (and all of the staff) were friendly and customer centered.

The rooms, at least the one we stayed in, were probably not very well sound insulated. Therefore, we could hear the guests of other rooms when walking, snoring...

Good breakfast, I missed scrambled or fried eggs though. The location is fantastic.

The bed seemed to be more of a bed sofa and the gap between the two mattresses wasn't too comfortable.

Great stay in a K-town landmark with a superb beer garden and restaurant. We've always loved the family-run warmth of this place and quality of the farm-supplied food in the restaurant. We met old friends in the biergarten and were well tended.

Room was a little warm -- not easy to get circulation of air with windows on one side, could do with a fan to cool things off. Bed was comfortable but could have been softer. Finishes were nice.
