This is an amazing place to relax. The hotel has a lot to offer and we recommend the culture night on Wednesday where we enjoyed a buffet with sea food and live music! Another thing that was absolutely amazing was the staff. They are incredibly attentive in all regards. I twisted my ankle and they helped a lot (e.g. transport to and from hospital).

Really not much to say here. The only thing we can mention that location-wise, there is not much to be seen within walking distance of the hotel. However, that is easily fixed with a Grab or Gojek!

We had a great stay. The breakfast at the Alantara was really excellent - we had the Indonesian options every day and they were delicious. The free afternoon tea was a lovely addition. We loved lazing by the pool and using the outdoor shower in our room. We also slept really well as the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel organised scooters for us and a transport to the airport very efficiently, and all the staff were very friendly.

The main downside is that the hotel is quite far from the main strip and you have to cross an extremely busy road to get there. There is a free hotel shuttle bus every two hours but the timing isn’t always ideal. The walk back to the hotel from the restaurants at the south side of the beach isn’t too long, but if you’re at the top of the beach it’s well over an hour’s walk. Factor that in when booking - if you don’t want to walk (which involves a bit of a run across the bypass) then you have to either hire a scooter or arrange your schedule around the shuttle or get a taxi.

Personal service...believably happy staff! Great range of delicious dishes. A la carte suits the smaller appetite and fair prices. Good spa. Efficient and homely all round.

Restaurant Staff are trained to clear any small used item from your table immediately...this was a bit irritating, especially when just pausing between mouthfuls! I don't blame the waiting staff but the managers need to take a step back from this insistent and annoying practice.

The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and absolutely lovely. Even before our arrival, they were already helpful in reorganising our stay due travel issues on our behalf. At the location everybody had the time for a genuine chat and play with our baby boy, which was always a delight. Breakfast was good with slightly changing selection, egg and soup station. The pool is great as it let’s you ponder around and give you the feeling if being in a stream and not a simple pool. Pool bar was always open and served food and drink. The grounds are maintained very nicely, not letting you feel the hustle & bustle of Sanur, but a nice little oasis. To get to the busier partnof Sanur we mostly took a Grab. It‘s possible to walk, but better to take a quick drive. Didn‘t use the spa, but only once the gym for a run which was okay. We had the room with the outdoor shower, which was great. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and can once again only say a big thanks to all for maling it such lovely stay.

Can‘t think of anything worth writing.

Amazing little resort not far from the heart of Sanur. The rooms are very spacious, the spa massage treatments were incredible (I like a very firm massage and the therapist was able to apply enough pressure, she also expertly identified and focused on the areas with the most tension), and food from the restaurant was delicious. The breakfast buffet spread was a highlight, with the selection changing each day to keep us interested. The resort provides a free shuttle service to the main shopping street in Sanur, and Icon Mall is just a cheap Grab ride away. But the best part of the resort is their staff - incredibly friendly and helpful, they made the effort to introduce themselves and remember us by name

There are a lot of mosquitos around the property that find their way into the rooms. Come with prepared with citronella patches and plug-in room repellants

Consistent with other reviews, we found the Alantara to be a real oasis hidden in the Sanur burbs…. A refreshing change from some of the large, crowded resorts dotted around Bali. We can only describe the hotel as boutique, with all of the usual amenities and features you would expect. The rooms, restaurant, bar and reception are all situated around a central pool with lush green plants providing privacy and separation as well as much needed shade when a break from the warm sun is required in the pool. The rooms were very clean, had good air conditioning and this was one of the very few hotels I have stayed at in Bali and Thailand etc that had no lingering bad smells in the toilet or shower areas. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much problem when we asked for anything. Always happy, smiling and willing to talk or provide any assistance. A special call out to the restaurant and bar staff: Ita, Peter Pan (Pande), Gofinda and Sepiani, however there were plenty of others too that were fantastic... Whilst the hotel is situated in suburbia, this does provide a break from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded resort areas along the Sanur beachfront. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from central Sanur, or you can walk direct to the beachfront in about 15mins - or catch a Grab ride for just 20-30k IDR (about AUD$2-3) to anywhere in Sanur. The food quality of the restaurant is very good, although the size of the menu is not extensive. Food and beverage prices are reasonable for the quality and the venue, although pricing can vary up or down if you choose the local warungs or higher end restaurants and venues. One suggestion for the hotel is to add a kids menu (e.g. nuggets and chips, fish and chips, small margarita pizza, carbonara and a tomato pasta etc). Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Alantara Sanur.

Not super close to the beachfront - but hotel offers a free shuttle to central Sanur and is a quieter location if you want something more peaceful…

The staff were amazing. They are kind, friendly, and attentive. The swim up bar was awesome. Great cocktails. Loved having a fresh coconut by the pool. The pool was clean and huge and great with the floating mattresses. The breakfast was great with a big selection. The location was really good, being just outside or Sanur. We could easily walk to the main strip of restaurants and the beach. I would definitely recommend it if you want privacy and not wanting to be near the hussle and bustle.

Everything was amazing.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Every staff member we interacted with during our 7 day stay were warm, friendly and helpful. Everything in the grounds is impeccable. Great selection at breakfast. Room service was always very quick. Cocktails had a kick. I became unwell during our stay and the staff checked in regularly and reminded me that they could arrange for a doctor to visit. The location was great for us, it was very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. They have a free shuttle bus running every 2 hours to/from main area of Sanur. Pool was good had lots of trees around. We really enjoyed our stay at The Alantara.

To be honest there wasn’t anything we were unhappy about.

We have stayed at this hotel over 6 times.The hospitality service is amazing and you get a true Indonesian experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained.What you see on website is a true representation of the rooms and facilities.beds are king size and very very comfortable. 4bottles of water in room each day.breakfast you have barista made coffee,great breakfast range both western and Indonesian. Freshly cooked noodle and egg station. Amazing freshly squeezed healthy fruit juice in cold deli station. Sanur beach is a 25 minute walk or you can get the free shuttle bus service which’s runs every 2 hrs. Better still download Grab taxis and the cost is between $1.20- $2 Australian dollars very reasonable and a reliable service. Airport cost with grab around $20 . Which is good for the local economy too.

There nothing not too like .

From the moment of arrival, the the sad point of leaving, the Alantara Sanur was perfect in every aspect. The staff are so friendly, and accommodating. The pool.atea is just perfect with two floating bean bags that guests shared which were wonderful. The room was spacious, only a few steps to the pool. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Indoor bath and outdoor and an indoor shower. Despite being in the middle of Sanur, you feel like you're in a rainforest, hearing only the spund of the water fountains. Plenty of poolside lounges and they have events through the week with buffet dinners. Alantara is champagne on a beer budget! Can't wait to return.
