Spacious room, comfortable bed, friendly, polite staff, good facilities, small but attractive pool. Handy for the rest of Sanur.

Dark & gloomy decor in room: too much dark wood, black lampshade, black net curtains inside slatted wooden shutters, etc, so not very light.

A lovely little Hotel quietly tucked away behind the beach. Close to local shop for water etc, some nice bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and breakfast superb!

Nothing not to like!

Akana Boutique Hotel is in a great location in Sanur. It is easy walking distance to local restaurants, the beach, spas and shopping. Definitely boutique size, for those whom like a more personable experience than the big resort style accommodation types. The pool is set in the middle, though not large in size it’s clean and enough to keep you cool with sun lounges. Breakfast served daily, it was included in my room price and was substantial. Lovely fruit selection, pastries, juices, eggs any way you like. The staff at Akana are all very friendly and attentive making sure that your stay is a memorable one. The rooms , I had a deluxe pool view on the top floor are spacious and well fitted, keeping with a modern contemporary look. Balcony with a coffee table, seat and drying rack. There is plenty of hanging space for your clothes. The hotel has a lift and stairs. Definitely a must stay if you’re in the area.

Nothing not to like!

The hotel and staff were friendly and efficient and also very comfortable, providing everything we needed. It was well situated if you are happy to walk, perhaps not for those who expect to walk out of the door to the beach....but you know that before you book! We loved our stay here, and really good value.

Breakfast was a little disappointing

I loved the staff, so friendly so helpful, always asking and seeking feedback to improve and making sure our stay was pleasant. Loved the open shower and bathroom set up, loved the wifi availability and the staff’s prompt in room service. The room was nice and comfortable to stay in.

I wouldn’t even mention it since the staff resolved it on the spot but the sheets were a bit musty and had some stains but they were prompt and kind to change it and didn’t make us feel any discomfort. The food for breakfast was awesome and the staff were again lovely but we had some feedback about the room service food and they were really kind to take note of it.

Excellent small boutique hotel at the southern end of Sanur. Staff are excellent and value for money is evident. The hotel has 6 bicycles that can be used on a first come/first served basis and we did use the bikes numerous times.

So we rarely eat breakfast in hotels, as we like to explore the surrounding areas to try lots of different places. We did eat breakfast at the hotel once, as it was included in our hotel package, but it was underwhelming, if we are honest. I was not feeling too hungry and ordered a couple of boiled eggs and a piece of toast and requested no other items. I was given fried tomatoes and potatoes and chicken sausages on the plate as well as my eggs and no toast. I actually left the additional items as I was not hungry and I am loathe to waste food. My partners order was unfortunately similar as well.

The staff is really nice and doing their best to accommodate and help the tourists. Really not far from the airport, so a good spot if you don’t want to be stuck in a crazy traffic. The restaurant at the hotel is nice with plenty of options for the breakfast. It’s quiet at the hotel, especially when restaurants and bars in the area stop live music. You get plenty of different toiletries at the bathroom.

The furniture in the room is dated. Pillows are too thick, so I had to sleep without one. Better mosquito repellent for the room would be nice - the one I had didn’t really protect even if I kept the doors always closed. There was an automatic air freshener in the room that smelled too much and I took out the batteries to stop it. Something natural or a diffuser would have been nicer otherwise you feel like your room smells the same way as a public toilet at a mall. Beach towels were properly stained. Sunbeds at the beach, which is about 5 min walk away, are included. But there are only public facilities around. And the sunbeds were stained as well.

The staff are all wonderful! Very friendly and always willing to offer assistance if needed. The rooms are a great size and the bed very comfortable. It had everything I needed each day. The breakfast is good value offering a continental buffet, AMAZING coffee and a hot meal from the menu - plenty of options. Their oat milk is creamy and delicious too. My room overlooked the pool but was still quiet at night and in the morning. Lots of greenery and the pool is a great refreshing temperature with bathroom facilities and comfy sun lounges. There was options for sun or shade throughout the day. Not a lot of street noise and walking distance to the beach, yoga studio, plenty of massage options and restaurants (limited vegan options but still available)

Loud tourists... but that's not at all the fault of the hotel or staff 😊

Clean, modern, great bathroom with a nice shower, very friendly staff, walkable distance to a good amount of restaurants, shops and the beach.

Pool had very limited spaces for sunbeds which were always taken, and the pool itself was very small, but nice. Breakfast was fairly poor, a lot of options but not much of your typical breakfast options and a lot of it was quite dry. Minor points, because otherwise the hotel is brilliant and would stay again!

I stayed in the poolside deluxe room and it was fabulous! The outside bathroom was a huge bonus! Loved it! And beautifully designed for ultimate privacy. I recommend having a scented bath. So good. The staff went out of their way to help and the room attendant left the cutest towel creations. Just like you’re on a cruise! Free bikes and a great central location with their own beach section. Highly recommended!
