Located on the beach. A quieter area of Bali and Sanur. Close to shops and restaurants. Staff were excellent. Restaurant overlooked the beach. Very pleasant. Food was great and affordable. Rooms, very good. Spacious and comfortable. Stayed in a club room, 1st floor overlooking the pool. I would, most likely, stay here again.

The property is huge, so, a long way to walk in the heat to get anywhere. The Club Rooms are closest to the street so farthest from the beach and hotel restaurants. Even though the pool is very nice, it is meant to be exclusively for the people staying in the club rooms, but sometimes we could not get a pool bed and we saw people coming from other parts of the hotel. Even though a sign says belongings will be removed from the pool beds if left unattended for 30 minutes, the hotel did not follow through with this. One day there were 8 beds unattended for hours, two of them for 6 hours. However, this is a problem in most resorts. Inconsiderate guests.

The hotel is at the quiet end of the beach stretch of hotels and warungs, and has an excellent beach area out front. It's a wonderful place to unwind, and was a great place to spend our last couple of days in Bali. It's a large hotel so plenty of space for lounging by the pool or relaxing on a beanbag/pod on the beach. Lots of places to sit and eat too, huge restaurant area. A swim up bar for those that want it, bike and canoe hire, spa too and good food.

The size of the hotel meant that it lacked an intimate feel, and also that you had to have a number of wifi passwords around the resort. It also got the prize for the most tax on a food bill on our trip in Bali! Restaurant tax and service charge varies from place to place, but we found this hotel had the highest charges at nearly 25%.

Pools were beautiful and restaurant food amazing. Staff were friendly and always working to keep hotel and gardens clean.

Superior rooms were dated, we had to move rooms as our first room looked out on to a wall (room 206), smelt musty and the safe didn’t work. The hotel were good about moving us and the second room was much better. Beds and pillows were very hard but sheets changed every day. Renovations of superior room could be heard around the pool (hammers banging).

Loved the complementary bicycle hire and the perfect swimming beach directly at the hotel. Pool/beach towel hire is complementary also which is a bonus. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast even though I have specific dietary requirements (I stuck to the fresh fruit and freshly made omelettes). The atmosphere was beautiful when walking through the property and the staff we absolutely amazing. The complementary morning yoga and was beyond my expectation! The staff do an amazing job to maintain this property and make their guests feel so welcome. I would not hesitate to stay again.

The swimming pool was reserved for guests staying in section we were in - it was fantastic. The other pools were also very good but to have pool with limited access on doorstep was exceptional.

All good except the night we dined there in ideal beachside conditions the food was very poor - we returned it and to their credit they did not charge us. The staff however were very nice

Location, service and ammenities. The restaurant is yummy too! We also got the free breakfast which was fresh and a great selection. We also used a driver arranged by Puri to take us to the waterfalls (we like to share the love with drivers), DeDe I highly reccomend.

I felt like the spa was a bit underwhelming, I didn’t book as the prices were a bit on the higher side and with the location there are lots of massage / beauty spas surrounding.

Beautiful gardens, lovely pools, staff so friendly, great location. Our 2nd time staying at puri santrian, we were very happy with the experience.

Club rooms were poorly soundproofed, didn’t notice last stay in premium room, but in our club room we could here everything (EVERYTHING) from next door. Also I have always enjoyed some gentle gamelan music at breakfast, but we now had easy listening hits of the 80s 😱 bring back the gamelan!

Great location. Sanur is a nice quiet area.

Room in adults only wing are next to staff carpark. Noisy and very 'tired'. No soundproofing. Heard the people next door talking and couldn't escape their cigarette smoke wafting into my room. Changed to a premium wing room. Much better

The hotel is an a superb location, on the beach, a short walk to all the beach restaurants and bars. It’s design is beautiful keeping Balinese culture, nice green gardens and 2 nice pools. The swim up bar is picturesque and got a lot of use.

These weren’t really dislikes but I’ll mention a few things that didn’t impact our stay at all, just didn’t meet my expectations after staying at a similar resort the week before. It’s more for those on the fence. * Being almost 40 years old, there is an old section and new section. We stayed in the old section which was fine, room and bed were comfortable. Bathroom was a bit dated though, still had to hop into a bath to have a shower. * Breakfast was nice, and the eggs/omelette station was a winner. But the Buffett food like hash browns, pancakes, bacon etc were always Luke warm/cold even when we were up at 6:30am for a tour. * I spent a bit of time at the pool bar which is great, but the cocktails and range of cocktails were limited and basic compared to other resorts.

The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. Especially good was the large amount of area in the walk in robe area. There was plenty of room for suitcases to be open and out of site of the bedroom. The breakfast was fantastic, the beach side restaurant was perfectly located and we also had lovely meals and afternoon tea there. The gardens were lush and lovely. The staff were all very helpful.

I don't think there was anything that we didn't like.
