Pool is excellent. Staff is amazingly kind and helpful. Location is a bit remote, outside of Ubud. You need a taxi or shuttle to get to the centre. The Balinese restaurant is superb, lots of vegetarian options.

Be mindful that the hotel is located a bit outside of Ubud, and that you will need a taxi or shuttle to reach the centre. The hotel offers a shuttle (free of charge) 4 times a day, which is helpful.

Great place to relax. Quiet and comfortable.

The location and the monkeys

The rooms were not so clean. Also the weather was always so dark and rainy, obviously not about the hotel. But for anyone considering this hotel, it is hard to find the sun shining in that jungle, if any. The weather is nice in the city center, but as you get closer to the hotel, it gets darker and darker 😁

My daughter says “no water slides” lol. In all seriousness, for two kids 11 & 5 it was great, the staff were very good, and they relaxed and loved the pool and room

The views were stunning! The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure you had a comfortable stay. It’s a bit further out from town, but taxis in are not so expensive/ the hotel also has a shuttle service.

Only negative is there are no ramps so if you have a pram/ stroller - you need to carry it as there are lots of steps to get everywhere.

The view is UNREAL!! The hotel is not located in central Ubud but the view is worth it. We rented a bike and had no trouble getting to the city (there are shuttles as well from the hotel and back). The food was great and the facilities too. Well equipped gym and huge pool. The staff was perfect.

We didn’t mind this, but note that there are a lot of stairs to get everywhere in the resort. If you have any issues with walking I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The remote and layback location and setting in the landscape offer a very exclusive experience but keeping everything simple and to the point. We actually stayed here a few years ago and decided to come back again.

Air conditioning's wind direction in the room is directly blowing into our faces at night. Hope that this would be improved in the next renovation. Other aspects that are a bit out-of-date including acoustic insulation, lack of latest equipment such as in-room speaker, proper bar tools etc- are acceptable but should be improved to meet the latest luxurious hotel standard.

The property was beautiful.

There were many steps which made it very difficult for my parents to get around the property. There were many monkeys and lizards which were also very scary and we had to be very careful to ensure that they don’t get into the rooms. There was also very poor lights throughout the property which was dangerous because of the many steps and especially when it was raining. There were many many bugs and no amount of insect repellent helped

Excellent staff who were quick and attentive, always friendly! Beautiful property, pool, and facilities - spa and gym were small but sufficient. Restaurants are both great, underrated! Changing breakfast menu daily means you’re never bored.

Owing to the stunning location, there are a lot of bugs, bring mosquito repellent. The property is a bit dated and deserves a refresh. Monkeys are a nuisance- be careful!

Staff were all helpful and friendly. Beautiful views, tranquil setting in the middle of the forest, nice pool view. Good line-up of activities of guests such as rice plantation walk.

We had dinner at the restaurant - it was local cuisine and was nice. However not sure if it’s directly related but me and my husband had some severe food poisoning in the evening after having dinner at the restaurant. We had to cut short our stay at the hotel and in Bali to go home to get medical care.
