Nothing Wish we spent more time in Gmunden

Hotel is situated in old building, where you can feel the atmosphere of historical town. We had a room with nice terrace and the view on the canal. Breakfast is exceptional, with local food. The village is worth seeing, however we were quite surprised that it is not possible to round it on the bike, as there are many of private possesions blocking the access to the lake.

Although we typically only stay at brand hotels, this was a very positive exception! The owner was super kind and helpful-was expecting us. Service was great! The town was great! And the owner’s recommendation for dinner… was the best meal we’ve had on our trip! Go to Weinstube Spies for the best meal and desert and service!

Location is superb, right in the center. Everything is within walking distance. The room was clean, the host and the staff were very nice. In case you don't speak german, they speak english. There's a private garage for the guests, just enter straight from the main street and ignore the "traffic prohibited" sign (it doesn't apply to the hotel guests).

All was excellent! The amazing place in the center of Gmunden. Very beautiful historic building. The privat garage. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Great view from the terrace! Friendly staff! Thanks for all! Very tasty breakfast! I recommend this hotel for all who is planning the trip to Gmunden!

It is a very quaint location. Well appointed rooms and generous breakfast.

Parking was a bit tricky as the spot was very very tight, but we did it. I thought it was odd that the staff left after everyone was checked in but we didn't have any problems.

The hotel has an excellent location in the city center and is absolutely charming. We received a very friendly welcome and were always helped politely, quickly and professionally with all questions. Special thanks also to Mr. Krapfenbauer, who arranged us another stay for the following night.

The location was good. Room size , comfortable bed & good towels & lighting.

Hotel is kind of dated. I’m used to more modern hotels.

Very nice owner, hotel is the old, the classic one (in good meaning) with good location (and quiet, despite to close location to city square). Nice place to stay and start visiting Gmunden.

Close to main attractions

Very squeaky floors. No a/c. Hard to locate the actual building and parking.
