Easily reachable by bus, just a few stops from the Chur station. A little play corner for kids just right in front of the reception desk. Receptionists were very friendly and polite. We were late by one hour for checking-out, but the hotel staff remained polite and helped us to clear our belongings from the room, and didn't incur extra charges - really appreciate it! Near to the Giger (Alien) bar and restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping options.

We had our triple family rooms at the upper floor but the elevator could only go up to the 3rd floor, which made it demanding to carry heavy luggages via the stairs to reach our rooms. Kettle was provided with a refundable deposit of CHF30 but it was full of limescale that we didn't even want to use. Rooms were a bit smelly when we arrived but the cleaner helped to spray the rooms with air refresher. Guest travel card was provided electronically but I was told that they only provide physical cards when I requested to receive prior to our arrival. I'm not sure how it works for other travellers but we needed to pay for the bus transport prior to check-in.

The hotel itself, its location, and the parking were generally fine. The receptionist was great. Everything was clean.

There is no proper ventilation in the bathroom or the room. The air conditioner runs all night, but by morning the air becomes completely stale, and everyone wakes up with a headache. Nothing dries in the bathroom either, as there is no proper ventilation there as well. In my opinion, the price is completely unreasonably high for what is essentially a budget hotel chain. Downstairs, the bartender was not very welcoming — clearly annoyed that we didn’t speak the local language, sighing and making faces while pouring beer.

In general, what you would expect from an Ibis, but we were particularly impressed with Ricardo (I hope we got his name correct!) who gave us loads of helpful information about Chur, what places to visit, how to get there etc. and was very knowledgeable about the city. We stopped at the bar for a drink in the evening and he took the time to tell us a bit about one of the beers that were brewed locally that he recommended and some information about a few other beers also. It was a nice little touch and not something I had experienced at other Ibis'. The McDonalds below was very handy, and although looks to be part of the hotel, it is actually separate, just part of the same building. Amazingly you can't smell it whilst in the hotel, so you wouldn't know it was there! The balconies provide a great view of the surrounding mountainous landscape and location was under a 10 minute walk to Chur West (which is a 1 minute journey from the main Chur station and Bernina Express.

The guy at the reception on 18th night was extremely helpful. He arranged for the bus passes, which we used throughout our stay, and saved us a lot of money on taxis. He also called around to look for a Dinner reservation for us. Explained how to get to the cable car, which was quite close by to the hotel. The only disappointment for us was the McDonald's next door only opened at 10, which delayed our plans. But this is not on the hotel obviously, who stored our luggage until we went to the cable car, and was very quick in getting them back for us, so we didn't miss our train.

One night stay as we were catching the Bernina Express in the morning. The hotel and room was modern and clean and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We walked from the ststion, which took around 20 minutes. Obviously, we ate at McDonald's! Unfortunately, we arrived in the dark - DB train from Germany to Switzerland was late 😢- but in the morning, Chur looked very pretty and if we had time, worth exploring. The Bernina Express was amazing. We would stay here again.

Organization, we arrived with a big group of people, more than 10 rooms were booked, they knew all this in advance, but check in took long time, because only one guy worked at the desk. Spend about an hour, even one of us started to help. Not sure about other guests, but I had mentioned that we would arrive late. We were tired, so… May be for such days, they need two on duty

Despite being outside of the main centre, the hotel is only a short bus ride to the main railway station and the town centre. The room and hotel fully met our expectations for an Ibis hotel.

Despite paying the local taxes, the check-in representative did not give us the free local transport passes. We only found out about them when we returned to the reception and overheard another guest talking about these tickets. We got the impression that the hotel staff just could not be bothered to issue the entitled passes. Make sure you ask for these if you stay here.

Easy stopover when heading into the mountains from Zurich. We landed late so this made sense. I'd argue very good value for money, shower is great bed is comfy.

Parking costs extra despite the garage being empty. Night staff were endearing but didn't speak very good German or English which made our check-in a bit of a battle - they tried to charge us for the room multiple times despite us having paid already.

A great modern hotel with everything that you would expect. Spotlessly clean, with great rooms, great facilities and very helpful staff. The hotel is just a little way out of town, but they provide a free bus pass for the city, so the 8 min journey into the train staion and all of the restaurants and bars is great. The Thai lady on reception was so helpful - with bus passes, maps and advice....

Nothing - it was great

Room is a little small for 3 people but manageable, balcony door could open giving more fresh air and space, definitely a plus. We also liked how the bathroom door swing towards the bed room, adding a screen for privacy to dress up after bath. Breakfast was much enjoyed, spread is adequate. Location is good too, bus stop is one minute walk, hotel should add the bus number into info page. We were not aware, took a diff bus and had to walk quite a distance with our bags on our first day.

Carpet in room certainly need change, anyway, acceptable since hotel is upgrading.
