We loved Lindau. The hotel, though old, was very nice to stay at. The room was very spacious and located on the island. We walked every road and lane, plus the markets were fantastic. Breakfast was very nice.

The church bell at 6am, but the location far outways the bell.

Great location, quiet, scenic but central. Had a reallly nice corner room. Good beds, great bathroom, good breakfast.

We were asked to pay cash because the Internet was unreliable. Later, we had no issues with the Internet ourselves, even in the hotel, so we found this unlikely in an advanced country like Germany. Same issue with another restaurant later on. Claims there that it was the weather ( which seemed normal). Just seemed dubious to us.

Clean, comfortable, and the service was helpful as usual. Easy walking distance to the train station and nearby restaurants as well as the harbor. Although I couldn't make use of it this time, I know they have a fantastic breakfast.

Great central location on Lindau Insel. Staff was wonderful and friendly.

Decor is a bit old /worn / dated and in need of some renovation. Bathrooms are quite small and tight.

It's a nicely decorated traditional style German hotel, which we really liked. The breakfast was quite good too.

Carpets were a bit dirty but they were working on shampooing them which greatly improved them, so I think it was just due to the realities of being end of the season.

Central location on the island

No full length mirror in the room and unfortunately, the bathroom mirror above the sink was much too high , I could only see the top of my face. 😬

A very pleasant hotel with lots of character centrally located in the market square. My stay at Hotel Stift was very enjoyable. Both the Hotel and Restaurant Staff were friendly and helpful. My room had a pretty outlook over the garden and all the facilities were clean and accessible.

The location was perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. On the island but not too close to crowded areas so it was quiet. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious and the dining room was beautiful and clean. The overall experience was very charming.

The worst part of our stay was the loud bell that seemed to never stop ringing. It would ring late at night and start very early in the morning. It was VERY loud and irritating.

Historical interiors in lobby and hallways, helpful stuff

no fridge in the room, no elevator, small bathroom with cold floors

Breakfast was very good, the staff were very supportive. The location is good in that it is not far from train station and one can go everywhere by foot.

If one should travel with a car to the area, it can be a big problem to bring it somewhere within easy walking distance.
