The design of the hostel is so nice, the entrance is beuatiful. The bed was comftereble, had a litle space in it for my bag, and a litle shelf, and a litle place to hang stuff. I even had a window, it said not to open it but still nice to have it. There was a free towel every day (only stayed for 2 nights) There shower was very comftereble and they had hair conditioner (some hostels only hve shampoo and body soap). The stuff was speaking english And its just a walking distance from the upopy museum (which is awesome. Its very interactive, its ina beuatiful park and has both exhibits and expirience based section) And its close enough to the train station. Had a great time :)

The hostel is just steps away from Shiraoi train station and is situated on the main road through town. It has a check in desk, large common area with comfy seating, kitchen, laundry room, toilets and showers. There is a mix of dormitories and private rooms, spread over 2 floors. The female dormitory is just 4 beds, each capsule has a lamp and power outlets. There is space in the dorm for luggage and every dormitory guest has a private locker allocated to them. The hostel is kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is available.

Was a little sad that the cafe/craft beer side of the hostel is currently not operating but will happily stay again.

- easy walkable location from the station, no train noise. - everything is new and clean. The interiors have lots of light and spaciousness, and the common are are cosy. You will find some interesting books and brochures about local art. - friendly personnel

I am a light sleeper. As the noise isolation is not great, I could hear someone in the room next door snoring, and I was woken up several times by other noises in the building. If your sleep falls more on the heavy side, you will probably just enjoy your stay because all the rest about it was great.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well, and always provide a thorough information when needed. The place is so lovely and comfortable (and well-designed), and the breakfast OH MY GOD is very tasty and fulfilling (note that there is an extra charge for breakfast, and it's totally worth it). Be informed that during winter there is an extra charge of JPY 150 per day for heating and this is NOT a complaint. It is reasonable and understandable.

The place is cold despite the heating (could also be that I have a low cold tolerance, so this is subjective) so I was shivering unless I'm under the blanket. Just make sure to bring a warmer pajamas, people (didn't expect this because usually heating inside buildings in Hokkaido is warm enough--definitely more than enough compared to Tokyo!)

It is a cozy not so large hostel, it is located on the main street, in a few minutes walk from the Shiraoi train station. A bit further on the same street, there are supermarket, gifts store, pubs and restaurants. It is appr. 10-12 minutes walk to the National Ainu museum Upopoy. The kitchen is small but it is equipped with all the necessary things to cook your own meals.

Good location and good price for the area. I saw foxes and deer in the neighborhood, and it was relatively close to the train station and the Ainu museum. You're also close to the beach, though it isn't the nicest. Good shared bathrooms, lounge and kitchen area.

I didn't have a private bathroom, but the area was expensive so it kept the room affordable. The shared bathrooms were nice.

The toilet was very clean for a shared bathroom and toilets (separated by gender), it was right outside my room (super convenient) and it was mainly used by my daughter and I during our stay. Love the garden right outside our room and the common area. Big free carpark right behind the place.

Wish that the room is brighter. The microwave and fridge can be cleaner.

Located in the heart of Shiraoi, it is only a 5 minute walk to the station. This hostel is quiet and has a wonderful and homey aesthetic with very clean kitchen, shower and toilet facilities. The staff were also very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are wanting to spend some time in Shiraoi or are looking to do a day trip into Noboribetsu!

The place was pleasant and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities.

The showers were a real issue—the knob to turn them on and off was poorly designed and frustrating to use. Since these were communal showers, I quickly discovered that everyone else was having the same problem.

Due to the late arrival of our airplane, we stayed in this hostel. It was much better than we expected. The owner speaks fluent English, so we had no problem in getting all the information we needed. In addition, he prepared a nice breakfast at 900 yen per person with good coffee.

Maybe because of the off-peak season, it was rather difficult to find a place to eat dinner. We were not able to eat at the nearby bbq place without booking, but another restaurant 'Kinpen' was good enough for us.
