This hotel is really close to Ostrog Monastery. It is really high up and you need to drive way, way up to get to it. It is literally located in the middle of nowhere with the most insane, gorgeous views! The room is clean and quite basic but the balcony offers the most wonderful views. The hotel offers dinner (as there is literally no where to go) and breakfast in the morning. The dinner menu was fabulous and breakfast was great! We were there in the summer and we sat outside and ate watching the sunset during dinner. It was beautiful. The restaurants served the most delicous seeded bread!!!! Overall a wonderful hotel but there is absolutely nothing to do except enjoy the views. I wouldn't stay for more than one night!

The terrace of the room offered exceptional peace and quiet, the scent of nature and enjoyed the soothing chirping of the bird contributed to our relaxation." The hotel's location is excellent,its the closest point to Monastery Ostrog ( about 3 minutes by car) . Big parking space provided just for guest of reception.Additionally, the food at the hotel was excellent and delicious .The wide variety of breakfast options this restaurant offers, especially their traditional Montenegrin breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend Hotel Sokoline to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and high-quality place to stay. We will definitely be coming back!

We wanted a nice place near Ostrog Monastery to do an early visit there, and Hotel Sokolane delivered perfectly. A little bit more than 10 minutes drive from the nonastery, Sokoline has great views of the surrounding area (including the valley, the hills and the monastery itself). You can enjoy the views either from the restaurant upstairs (where breakfast is also served) or the balcony of your own room which is otherwise spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is also very nice.

Very convenient location for making the most of visiting Ostrog Monastery. This is a very well situated and posh, modern hotel, perched on a ledge with some stunning views. The receptionist we interacted with had excellent English and was very helpful and enjoyed sharing her local knowledge with us. We were allowed to check in early and the bedroom was very comfortable and warm. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. Good TV. The hotel has a posh restaurant with the 'usual' Montenegrin dishes on the menu, but their home made 'donuts' served at breakfast were yummy. Room service allows drinks but not food.

The lack of tea / coffee facilities in the room and the generally unexceptional food menu were a let down for an otherwise upmarket hotel.

Massive corner room - 2 x huge balconies with and awe-inspiring view of valley and Ostrog Monastery - hotel is perched precipitously on the side of the mountain. There is an amazing restaurant, service and delicious good value food on the roof top terrace with the same panoramic view - whole place has wonderful chilled atmosphere. Extremely relaxing. Wonderful a la carte breakfast (raspberry juice and local fluffy, fried dough balls amazing). Great to relax after Ostrog Monastery visit in extreme heat in August! Definitely the best place to stay of you are visiting it.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful hotel run by the nicest people. Spectacular views, delicious food and excellent cleanliness standards make it a perfect place for anyone visiting Montenegro. A very convenient location from which you can go to the majority of popular destinations by car in about two hours. Rent 4x4 as roads are often narrow and many are under construction but rest assured this will not make your trip to this beautiful country and this hotel any less pleasant. Highly recommend. :)

We booked interconnecting rooms which was great for the 3 of us. Everything met our expectations and sitting outside in the dining area looking at Ostrog Monastery while watching the sun go down with a beer and amazing raspberry juice was fabulous. The hotel is a short drive away from the monastery car park from which we took the beautifully peaceful walk up through the woodland to the monastery spotting lizards and a tortoise on the way - A wonderful stay.

Beautiful location, fabulous views from both the room and the terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was air-conditioned, spacious, and clean with a balcony overlooking the valley. The bathroom was clean and had a decent shower. Restaurant on the terrace, again fantastic views over the valley, good food at a very competitive price, good selection of breakfast options and great service. Convenient location for the Ostrog Monastery.

Everything was just perfect. Wonderful Location to recharge the batteries after enjoying the hectic at the coast. Staff is great. Place is run by a family who really took fantastic care of us and arranged all our trips. Had a tour to the monastery guided by Alexandra which was just incredible. Extremely welcoming atmosphere - can highly recommend it if you value such things

The staff at Hotel Sokoline were incredibly helpful and accommodating, with prompt and effective communication. The location of the hotel is stunning - it was very relaxing to sit on my private balcony and take in the view. Ostrog Monastery can also be seen from the restaurant terrace. The room was comfortable and a good size. Breakfast included a good selection of food, the restaurant also serves very good meals with a delicious home-made cheesecake.
