We always enjoy staying at Ayres Laguna Woods/Aliso Viejo. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, staff is friendly and the complementary breakfast is very good. We had a beautiful view of the courtyard and pool area during this visit and, as always, enjoyed our stay.

I did not like that they charge an extra $125 for incidentals and then it takes a week to get it back. It was more than the price of my room since I booked on this site and the room was only $120. I found it infuriating that they would charge that much for incidentals when there’s not even a mini bar in the room

Revelers on Saturday night caused excessive noise that security staff should have proactively squashed.

The staff was friendly. Our breakfast each morning was good. The breakfast crew was friendly, accommodating, and efficient (making sure the different offerings were always available). We would have liked another day of omelets and one day the sausage patties seemed a little rubbery, but it in general it was superior to a continental breakfast. The room, towels, and linens were clean. We used the fitness center which was well equipped.

We were disappointed that the only king room available at 6pm was one right by the elevators on the first floor, as we preferred one away from it since, depending on who is staying at the hotel, it can be quite noisy. Fortunately, the guests were courteous. We noticed the attractive luxury vinyl plank flooring in our room, however, after walking barefoot, we also noticed that they needed a good washing.

This is the same price as a Comfort Inn, Hampton Inn, etc., but it's just a little bit nicer in every possible way! The lobby has a real fireplace and is nicely decorated, the pool and hot tub are functional and very nice (hot tub is hot!), the breakfast is actually quite extensive (real scrambled eggs, waffles, etc.), fitness center, "social hour" on weekday evenings, and check out is noon, not 10am like some places. Location was perfect for what we needed. All the little touches make everything so much better. I would 100% go back.

The room was a little stuffy (our window would not open for fresh air). They should let us at least open the window a crack!

Loved that it was off of a main road which made it much quieter, and I had a room facing the street, no street noise. Appreciated having excellent made to order breakfast on site with the most wonderful breakfast staff.

Oddly, the front desk staff seemed a little standoffish, I was really surprised , they just didn’t seem very enthusiastic about anything, except for the night staff person who helped me fix the television in my room.

Good choice of hot food and omelettes cooked to your liking for breakfast. All staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking. Daily room service or you choose when room and linen changed.

The pool is described as heated , this year I think by the sun. We have known it to be at least 80-82, this year only 75-76.🙁 May be sign of the times and being cost efficient, having said that both the pool and hot tube are kept meticulously clean with plenty of fresh clean towels available.

A large, very clean and quiet room, good parking, and a made-to-order delicious omelet with several other breakfast options. We stepped outside to eat at a table in the courtyard, which was especially nice. Superior to the other hotel we used to always stay in when we visited Laguna. This will be our go-to-place from now on.

Grab bar in the bath/shower would be a nice addition.

1. Free EV Charging. It made our stay super convenient. 2. The breakfast was actually really good. They have professional staff there that make delicious omelets. Also free coffee. 3. The facility and the location was really quite beautiful and serene. Perfect for a family getaway. 4. The gym was actually quite nice and the space was decent enough to get a great workout in.

My only two gripes: 1. There was some loud construction noise during the day next to our room. It sounded like they were doing renovations. 2. This place does room service at 9am, much earlier than what we are used to. We were surprised after breakfast when we went back to our room that they were in the middle of cleaning our room. Granted we should have had the placard on the door, but we were not expecting service so early.

We loved this hotel! Very clean, rooms are serviced daily, breakfast have a good variety of food, hot eggs station are also changed every fee days. Pool and hot tub was nice. Beds were very comfy. Only improvement could be bigger shower heads in the room and more pressure. Also noticed that sink drain was draining slowly. Other than that, would definitely come back
