A few months ago, my fiancee (now wife) and I, were desperately searching for a wedding venue with no luck, when just by chance, whilst searching for somewhere to eat at lunchtime, we came across a small sign in the road saying "Dar Lys". Upon entering the luxury Riad and Spa, we knew immediately, this was where we wanted to get married! The staff are amazing, friendly, smiling and always do whatever they can to help make your stay more memorable. Dar Lys is easily accessible by car, the rooms are luxurious, clean and modern, the rooftop pool is fantastic, offering breathtaking views all around Fes and the food, (breakfast in particular) is incredible, which is why we came back for that alone again and again! The staff worked tirelessly to give us whatever we needed and nothing was ever a problem, which is why our wedding at Dar Lys turned out to be an occasion my wife and I will never forget. Doha, the Operations Manager needs a special mention as she makes it feel like a family run business, where everyone makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable as if you're in your own home. As someone who has stayed in many many top hotels around the world, I genuinely hope the world can see this review, as anyone who visits Fes in Morocco, needs to stay at Dar Lys, you will have the most amazing time!

Located near the entrance to the Medina - easy access to shops and a great guy selling a huge. variety of fresh fruit! - The breakfast was good and the food in the hotel was excellent including room service. The rooms were stylish - tastefully decorated and well appointed - the photos on the app don’t do the pool and roof terrace justice - it is much larger - the sun beds and towels provided are superb and the pool is much bigger than you would think also the views are superb - all in all a luxurious Riad for a memorable stay!

A wider choice of pillows

Very good healthy breakfast, fresh juices, pastries, bread and fruit. The rooms were tastefully decorated but our large bathroom was a highlight with two basins for a couple, great shower and a variety of very soft quality towels. The location was great, right on the edge of the ancient medina and very close to lots of restaurants and shops. Staff were all super helpful and friendly. The rooftop was very nice for cooling down and afforded wonderful views over the medina, city and hillsides and a fresh breeze in the night to keep cool.

The staff were excellent. Hamza and Mourad were too good. Helped with everything from booking excursions to hotel stay. I would highly recommend this property. Very clean and beautifully done!

I would have preferred some hot breakfast items, but not a deal breaker

Beautiful place. Clean, comfortable, good location. The courtyard staff were very pleasant. Nice pool on the roof.

They gave our reserved room (w/balcony) away before we arrived and tried to convince us that our room was the same. It was not. They finally agreed to a small discount. Several items on their menu were not available.

The property itself was very nice, the hotel was clean and presented well. Roof top pool is a nice addition, and the food is very good. The lady in the spa is excellent at her job and I would reccomend getting a massage or facial.

Its a new property, comfortable bed and pillow, very friendly staff, clean, breakfast was good. Every night there would be a staff asking if you need a change of towel, they provide nuts and minibar. I love the playlist of song they play at the lobby.

The hot water temperature is not so stable

Excellent location, very comfortable room, extremely clean. Beautiful and new building. Easy to get to the medina, only 200 m or so but very safe as location is in the edge of the medina. There is a parking next to the building, just an empty dusted space but serves the purpose. Good breakfast, could have more vegetables (anything like cherry tomatoes, green salad leaves) and cheese - there were, but very small quantities. We were greeted on arrival day with dates filled with nuts - what a delicious treat! We have also enjoyed the SPA - nice experience too, however somewhat expensive. Don’t miss Chouara tannery, 20 mins by foot into the medina, lovely walking through the winding alleys.

There is noise during the morning and evening due to chairs being moved by the table by guests. Rooms are facing the courtyard so noise gets in the room.

Everything is perfect, people are so friendly helping with all requests and trying always to give the best experience for us. They recommended a very nice tour guide which we could learn more about history of Fez and also took as to places that most probably we would not visit by ourselves. This riad is the true marroc experience that we were looking for!!!

The room was very spacious and beautiful, the staff is quite attentive. The atmosphere is rather familiar, it feels a little bit like you are staying in a Riad with some people you know - just a little bit bigger and with more people. The furniture incl. the comfortable bed as well as the cleanliness of the room are really outstanding.

The music...! Please! First of all: You could add so much magic to the place by playing some oriental lounge, Spanish guitar or local sound. However, you are playing the melody of Titanic as well as of Wind of Change... and not only once, but repeat. play. repeat.
