I loved everything about this hotel. For once I was able to find a budget friendly hotel that was very well maintained and very comfortable. Anywhere else you find a hotel at this price it’s disgusting and have hard bumpy mattresses that are decades old. This is the first hotel that I was able to afford that had some of the most comfortable beds and were perfectly clean. There is no weird stench. I absolutely loved it. My daughter and I had to travel to Hays for traveling softball tournaments and even she commented how cute the hotel was and how comfortable it was. We will be staying there next time we have a tournament in Hays

I liked that the Lodge at Russell was away from the interstate and traffic noise. The accommodations were quite adequate and our room was clean. The breakfast was a step above most motel offerings, especially some of the big chains. The homemade cinnamon rolls were awesome, as was the biscuits and gravy. Our bath towels were large and fluffy.
Our shower handle was a bit quirky and it made it difficult to find the hot water setting. It should be looked at and replaced. The room door was a bit tricky to get closed. If you weren't careful, it would seem closed, but could open just by pushing on it.

I liked that it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the location was close to I 70. We got to park near the door to our room which makes unloading a breeze.
Hotel is showing some wear and tear but overall the property and rooms are clean. This place was a very good value for the price we paid.

They provided comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, as well as accommodating us unexpectedly for an extra day when the highway closed due to a sudden spring snowstorm.
The power went out for a couple of hours due to the snowstorm, but the room stayed warm, and I was happy to spend some time with my grandson off his phone and playing gin rummy!

New updated room appearance. Friendly staff. A/C great. Exterior lighting great. Clean linens/Bath towels and offers a rag for clean up you should not do with the regular towels and washcloths. Soaps that appropriately are sized for short stays...less waste.
TV stuck on higher channels and could only access 7 of the lower channels for viewing in one room and the other room the Guide came up and had a delay on 30 seconds before going to the channel. Shower head in second room leaking water out the side. Continual squeaking door sounds ,but not from a door. Bathroom appeared to have multiple cosmetic repairs from ceiling to drain in shower.

Room was clean. Staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The eggs, biscuits and gravy, and waffles were delicious.
Bed wasnt too comfy. The lights outside the room were bright, even with the blackout curtains closed there were gaps at the top and sides making it brighter than we would have liked.

Just off interstate 70, this hotel is conveniently located. We had a big double room for our group of 5. The rooms were clean and breakfast was a step up from the normal hotel breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a bit outdated and could use an upgrade in furniture and decor.

Convenient location - there is a Walmart and lots of food nearby. The rooms were excellent, especially for the price. Very clean, and there were a lot of little conferences we didn't expect. We had a giant walk-in double shower that was awesome, although it cut between all hot and all cold every 30-60 seconds or so (probably when someone elsewhere flushes a toilet.) Staff was super friendly and helpful and facilities were nice. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast.
Keep in mind that there is no elevator, and because of how the parking lot is set up, you may have a walk to your room, and then up exterior steps. Not a super long walk, but keep it in mind if you're traveling with someone who is handicapped.

The location was great. The Breakfast was wonderful the staff was very nice and friendly. The beds are very comfortable.
They have two lamps on each night stands they do not work there is no way to pug them in. So you have to leave the curtains open. The pots are slow and they need some lime away to put in them to cleam.
