- First and foremost the staff is amazing! They were all very helpful and friendly, it created such a welcoming atmosphere! Be sure to ask them about booking a bus to an alternate trailhead on the Fitzroy/Laguna de los Tres hike so you can catch an additional glacier and skip the uphill part on the normal out & back route - location is great in the middle of town so you're close to all 3 major trails - the room is a good size, and you also have a ton of space for storage - the breakfast is simple, but very good and satisfying! I was there 5 days and didn't get tired of it. the added afternoon snacks is a nice bonus as well - wifi is good for browsing/making plans (didn't try streaming video)

Good location, few minutes from the starting point for hiking trails. Very clean bathroom and powerful shower, comfortable beds, warm and cozy bedroom. Breakfast was basic but good enough. Some tea, coffee and snacks are available for free in the afternoon. What we loved was the customer service, Martina the girl in the reception was very polite, helpful, gave us all the information about the things to do around and where to eat the best steak in town. She arranged our transport, lunch boxes, everything. The hotel has a good internet connection all the time.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, and I felt welcomed and well cared for throughout my visit. A special thank you to Lucia and Mariana who were especially helpful and kind. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail really stood out and made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended—this is a place where hospitality truly shines.

Lúcia was very friendly and courteous. 10% USD cash discount was appreciated. Breakfast was very good, including accommodating our special request on 2 of 3 days. Thank you. Shower temperature and pressure good. Earlier check in option appreciated. Warm comfy bed. Home made cookies during happy hour. yum. Reasonably priced accommodation.

The $17 housekeeping fee was not clearly disclosed when booking. It was included after booking in confirmation email. More transparency would be appreciated.

The hotel is close to some good restaurants and shopping, plus close to the Cerro Torre trail head. It is cute. We had a view of Fitz Roy from our room. The breakfast is good - eggs, breads, etc. The staff are very pleasant but not as knowledgeable as some.

Very attractive hotel with comfortable and clean rooms and a wonderful view of the mountains. A lot of effort given to breakfast and afternoon coffee which was really nice. Staff were attentive, especially helpful and kind was Lucia at the reception desk.

Having to end my stay.

The hotel staff knew English, they answered our every question, the distance from the treks was good and so was the distance from the bus station. Also, the breakfast was delicious - not very varied but sufficient for our needs.

I didn't like the facilities in the hotel- the toilet is a little broken and the sink is a little cracked, and the shower head was a little weak

The property is one of the few hotels that are within 5 -7 minutes walk from the bus terminal which makes early morning departure easy. The room is a bit old but has been kept in good shape and clean. The front desk staff are excellent especially one lady named Victoria. She speaks excellent English and was very helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations and making us feeling comfortable in this foreign country.

Hotel: Cosy, warm and nice; Location: right in the middle of town; Breakfast: very nice; Staff: AMAZING!!! The staff at Cumbres immediately made me feel welcome, assisted planning my hikes, were always extremely friendly, approachable and warm, provided a breakfast for me as they knew I was leaving for a hike before 6am, and overall upgraded my experience at the hotel from a 'solidly good' to an 'excellent' - will definitely be returning if I am ever back in Chalten.

Wi-fi is a little slow at times - but considering the location, this might be expected!

A comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel in a great location. Wonderful staff. Fitzroy was visible from the room. Nice breakfast including eggs if you wish. Tea in the afternoon. A great restaurant across the street.
