The room was a good size, and surprisingly included a sauna in its own glass-walled room between the bedroom and the shower room. The view was out to the river, over the restaurant's patio and the busy railway line, which can be noisy with the windows open, but is sufficiently sound-proofed with the windows closed; and it can be enjoyable to watch various types of trains. The hotel is centrally located in town, and has an excellent restaurant: Stubers. Tight parking spaces on site, though plenty of parking nearby too. Excellent breakfast.

Some shallow steps to the WC and bathroom to remember if you get up at night.

Owner is personable and helpful with ideas for hiking and how to spend your time there. He suggests different hikes. They give you a whole pot of coffee at breakfast for your table. Dinner is excellent, as is the choices for wine with dinner. They have a covered terrace for dining that overlooks the river. We were given a room that also had a lovely view.

It didn’t bother us, but the trains run near enough to hear them with the windows open. So you need to close the windows when you sleep.

The hotel is right in the middle of town which is a great first stop after arriving to Germany via Frankfurt. The hotel is family owned for generations and the hospitality is excellent with the owner there overseeing guest satisfaction and who is also a top rated chef. Views are spectacular. Rooms are modern with AC. Breakfast was personal with our name tagged on it he table making us feel special. The coffee was the best I’ve ever had and apparently it’s due to a special filter the hotel has. We had dinner on the terrace our first night with a great selection of local wines and fine dining. They were also helpful with our travel plans. Perfect location for day trips along the Rhein with the KD board dock in walking distance. We stayed two nights and could have easily stayed two more!

There is no elevator so just know you’ll have to carry luggage up stairs.

This charming and friendly family-run hotel was filled with traditional character. Our room, located on the top floor, offered a lovely view of major landmarks in Bacharach. Although the room, particularly the bathroom, was small, it was perfectly functional. We didn't hear any train noise during our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and our dinner at the hotel's restaurant was so good the first night that we immediately reserved a table for the following evening. The meals featured delicious local cuisine and wine. Bacharach itself was quiet and beautiful, and the hotel was conveniently located in the center of that town, near the KD boat dock.

Very nice, modern, updated, air conditioned room. Lovely, simple breakfast. Fantastic restaurant. Excellent location for touring the Rhein and Mosel valleys by car.

Soundproofing was very, very good, but some may struggle with the sound of the trains that go by frequently. We did not, but be aware if you’re highly sound-sensitive. Towels and bath amenities could have been a touch more luxurious, though they were more than good enough.

Great location and in center of the city. The owners were very kind and kept our luggage until check in. The chef was amazing. Greeted us at dinner and at breakfast daily. Gave us great tips on what to do in the city. Very personalized experience and we were so glad we stayed here.

You can hear the trains at night but no fault of the property. Windows closed and they had ear plugs in bathroom if you need them.

Great location overlooking the river and just on the edge of the Old Town. Even though the rail line ran just in front of the hotel, the rooms were double- double glazed, so perfectly quiet. Staff were great - we were even taken to our room and showed everything - never had this before.

The choices for breakfast could have been a little better and coffee making facilities in the room would have been a nice addition.

This was our first stop after an overnight flight from Dallas. We were exhausted and trying to keep busy in order to adjust to the time zone. They let us check in two hours early and loaned us very nice cruiser bikes for a ride up the river. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great followed by a pleasant walk around the picturesque, cobblestone streets of the town. Wonderful all around!

There is a busy train line right next to the property, but the hotel did everything possible to mitigate the disturbance including providing earplugs.

Very nice hotel on the Rhine River. Train track in front you do not hear in the rooms. Room was very comfortable with lots of attention given to details. Phone chargers /usb sockets next to the bed. AC, our room had a bath, seperate bath and shower and sauna. We had our dog with us and they provided a dog food packet, when we checked in which he liked vey much. Great breakfast. Well worth a visit. Good diner too.

This was a phenomenal place to stay in Bacharach. The location is right by the water, and many of the rooms have River views. The town is small, so everything is easily accessible. It was very clean and the staff were so kind and helpful in planning my activities and stay there. They also offer free bicycle rentals (but bring your own helmet) and the breakfast they serve is very delicious.

It was about a 10-15 minute walk on nearly exclusively cobblestone from the Bacharach train station, so it would be a little tough to get there if you have the rolling checked luggage type of suitcases.
