+ easy web based self check-in (passport/ID needs to be sent over email or whatsapp in advance); + spacious and well designed room; + reasonably priced parking just across the street; + lovely walk through the wineyards to the viewing point above the town and then by quite steep stairs down there to visit the "Kleines brauhaus" and explore the old town

nothing that we didn't like or missed, few nice-to-haves: insect nets on windows leading behind the building where a small stream runs and maybe a small fridge to keep the drinks cool

Everything was nice, communication with the staff was fine, no unpleasant surprises. Remember to prepare coins if you want parking, the parking lot near the property only takes coins

The beds were more on the soft size, the pillows as well, and too large and chaotic.

Clean and quiet rooms. A bit expensive for the location

Check in procedure is a bit complicated. We were told that we will receive a code for opening the safe deposit box for collecting the keys on the day of the check in, but we didn’t receive it for some reason. But it was possible to get the code by calling the number given.

Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and located next to each other per our request. After hours arrival was really easy and we were able to gain access to our rooms quickly and with no issue. Our rooms were large and fit our family perfectly.

Our bed was really squishy... sounds kind of funny, but I was shocked at how far we sunk in when we laid down. The mattress in the other room we had was in much better shape and more comfortable.

The experience was amazing. Even when I arrived after midnight (due to losing shortly a train connection at Bingen, my own fault), the code that had been given to me by the staff and the video instructions for the check in allowed me to enter without hassle. After a relaxing bath and an amazing night of sleep, I enjoyed a lot the beautiful back yard, enjoyed a delicious and abundant breakfast and attention by all the staff. Really look forward to go back sometime, maybe to complete the whole train along the World Heritage Site.

Cannot tell about anything that I did not like. Everything from the staff to the location was stellar, the bed allowed me for an amazing, serene night of sleep after a day walking around Cologne and a really eventful night visiting Bingen. The location of the hotel, at Steeg, allows for a really nice stroll to the center of Bacharach, with great Weingüter in the neighborhood. After visiting the hotel, its location was very practical for me to hike to Burg Stahleck, Wernerkapelle, downtown Bacharach and then take the trail to Oberwesel. Loved everything about the area and the hotel.

Rolladen for both the window and the balcony door. Instructions to find parking and keys were very good. Loved being based in Bacharach. Loved having the balcony space that opened onto the trees, not the street.

TV didn't work but we were gone most of the time. Drove to parking along the river instead of walking as one in our group is a slow walker so too far for us to walk.

The beds were comfortable and the area was very quiet. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ok, there were eggs, a few types of cheese and ham, some cereal, yoghurt and jam.

It’s about 25-30 min walk from the centre of Bacharach, a bit uphill but not that difficult.

Comfortable room, very clean, very quiet.

Check-in is complicated and not user-friendly: you get a code sent to your email (NOT Booking message box) which opens a safe-box with your room key in it. For assistance there are phone numbers which took many attempts until answered. When I arrived late evening there were 3 other people outside, dumbfounded by the instructions and unable to get into their rooms. The hotel is also far from places of interest - not a walking distance to food etc.

Think it could be difficult if you’re on foot as it’s a 5 min drive from the main town area. Loved our time here, definitely recommend. Super fast Wi-Fi!
