Nkhosi is a great choice for those who want the peace and quiet of the Zambian countryside, but still be able to enjoy all that Zambia has to offer. The property has everything that you need including on call massage therapist and staff that will help you book excursions for all your days in Zambia! I loved that the property was ZAMBIAN owned and sustainable! The staff are SO kind and helpful, and great to chat with! You will definitely feel at home at here. Rooms are great and BIG!

Sometimes there are power outages, but that is Africa! Just a heads up for those who are unfamiliar with that! Would love to have had more Zambian food options on the meal menus.

The Lodge is situated outside of town which makes it perfect for a relaxed and tranquil getaway. The staff were super warm, welcoming and very accommodative. They are always ready to assist and see to your requests and needs. The breakfast was great; the pool area was perfect for a relaxing swim with amazing views and the spa services were great. Had THE best massage here. The room was big, airy and super comfortable! But most of all, you get exactly what is advertised, it was such a pleasant surprise.

The lodge is eco-friendly so there isn't hot water throughout the day, you have to make a special request for this. The menu also needs updating and a little TLC (for example fixing spelling errors). Also, some menu items were unavailable at times due to the power cuts. The wifi could also use a little boost.

I cannot recommend this hotel more. We stayed here with two young children. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Biggie took us everywhere we wanted, helping with car seats and little ones. Kingsley made sure we had delicious food and drinks and chatted and played with our little one and Natasha was able to answer all of our questions and give advice for trips given our family set up. My husband had his birthday whilst we were at the hotel and the staff made a big fuss with a cake and traditional songs. An incredible, safe and lovely place to be

Nothing !

The hotel is located at a distance from the city, closer to the Victoria Falls, in a rather picturesque place. It is run by a wonderful woman who has managed to create a good team. As soon as you head to the pool (which, by the way, offers a beautiful view), someone is already rushing there to check the cleanliness. Another person carries towels, another brings a fan to the room, everything works like a well-oiled machine. It is also worth noting the possibility of dining in the hotel restaurant and a good breakfast. The room is very clean, comfortable, and large. Honestly, we were very regretful that we spent only one night there. Thank you, Natasha!

First and foremost the team! Thank you so much for your care and flexibility. We certainly kept you on your toes and you managed to help us with all our requests and last-minute pivots. It was hugely appreciated. The decor, location, out in the wild yet close to the border which is what we needed. It's clean and the food was delicious. I am still waiting to learn the okra soup recipe...chef promised to send and I didn't get. Very restful place, I will visit again the next time I am in Zambia.

We came as a big group and had booked all but one of the rooms - and had an exceptional stay! The staff went above and beyond throughout our visit and were so lovely the whole time, the rooms were really spacious with lots of nice touches - including chitenge dressing gowns that everyone loved to wear around the lodge! Would recommend having some spa treatments during your stay - a few people in the group had the Zambian massage and it was exceptional. The food was really good, though you have to order a bit in advance for dinner service. The pool area and bar area is really lovely to hang out during the day.

The staff are absolutely fantastic. Natasha at reception helped with all aspects of the stay including booking activities and even cuttings of aloe vera plant for sunburn. Kingsley in the restaurant was always ready and swift and so friendly and helpful. The food was very good. the facilities are all new and beautiful. The location is about 10 minutes drive from Livingstone so it depends what you want from the location. it is peaceful quiet and relaxing and picturesque.

We loved EVERYTHING about this beautiful lodge. From being greeted with a glass of baobab juice to being served delicious beverages at the pool. Our room was perfect, comfortable, clean and much larger than we anticipated! The staff are truly special. A special thank you to Natasha and Kingsley who were so helpful and friendly! Thank you for all the love you showed our little girl as well. The food was delicious! Everything was just perfect, it wasn't easy to have to leave there!

Great stay, fully recommended. Very peaceful setting, large and very clean rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good, we really enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Overall, great value compared to other accommodation in Livingstone.

The location is great in that is so peaceful and quiet and less than 10 minutes away from the falls by car. The problem is that you need a order a taxi from the hotel if you want to go anywhere and that will cost around USD 15 each way. If you have a car or pre-booked excursions that will not be an issue, but if you want to spontaneously go for dinner in Livingstone that might add to the cost. Having said that, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nkhosi Lodge stands out amongst the other accommodations in Livingstone. It is beautifully designed, incorporating elements of the natural environment around it. It sits slightly above the surrounding area and so you get a nice, natural panoramic view from the pool deck and dining area. The room was surprisingly spacious and well-designed. The staff was friendly and well-informed about activities in the area and the chef was accommodating about food requests. Excellent value for money. You will need transport, since it's about 20 minutes from the main road, which is itself 10-20 minutes from the city center. Special shout out to Chris, Jelina and Natasha for their excellent service. Nkhosi is a vision of what the Zambian lodge industry can be: thoughtful and well-designed while not exorbitantly priced.

The menu could have incorporated more of the Zambian cuisine. It did have a few local items, but I found it heavily skewed towards a more Western diet. The lodge is nestled within the scenic outskirts of Livingstone, yet the menu did not convey this. It was a missed opportunity to tie in local dishes and allow guests to try things they might not have the chance to try elsewhere. The windows had a wire mesh installed to prevent pests from entering, which was useful, but prevented the windows from fully closing.
