Quiet, quaint, nice amenities, staff is professional and friendly. This is a hidden gem. We stayed at Nora Belle’s Cottage. Absolutely beautiful! Large wrap around front porch, two parking spots in front of cottage. Spacious, cozy living room, two huge bedrooms, two and half bathrooms, large kitchen, dining room seats 6 and the pool is basically right outside the back patio of this cottage. Perfect for a family. The grounds are lovely and I found calming. Tasty breakfast. This is a must stay in Gainesville. Just love the history of this property.

Just wish it had a place for laundering.

Staff were just super and very accommodating after we arrived following a serious car crash right outside the property just as we arrived. We were rere ended and the car pretty well written off. Though shaken fortunately we were totally uninjured. We were kindly given a late check out until 1.30 PM the next day when our friend from St. Petersburg picked us up. By the way - breakfast was very good too with gluten free bread available for my wife as requested.

The inn was conveniently located to the aquatic center where my daughter swim competition was being held. We were not able to partake in breakfast, as we had to be out before 7 AM each day. The grounds are beautifully manicured, and the landscaping is charming! I also enjoyed the historic booklet information in the room.

Perhaps the only negative was that the lounge chairs at the pool had broken straps.

My family and I loved everything about this place. The saltwater pool and hot tub were relaxing, the gardens were pretty and peaceful, loved sipping coffee on the front porch of our cottage. I think our favorite was Butters, the sweet, friendly resident kitty. The staff was also friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing. Perfect location too.

Delicious breakfast and beautiful grounds. We had the Tiffany room and my bed was super comfy. The pull down bed was nice too. We loved the balcony and that there was a water machine right outside the room as well as as a Keurig to make coffee and a water heater to make tea. I would stay here again.

A great property, full of character and well maintained. The staff were super helpful and attentive. The homemade breakfast was a lovely touch. We had the heated saltwater pool to ourselves whenever we used it. Borrowed the free bikes to explore the neighbourhood, a nice perk. The downtown area full of restaurants and bars is just a 10 minute walk away.

An amazing collection of historic buildings. We stayed in Lilly’s Cottage and everything was so cozy. Comfortable King-sized bed in separate bedroom, plenty of blankets and pillows. Pull-out sofa in living room had inflatable mattress on top of sofa-bed one for extra comfort. Full kitchen facilities we didn’t have time to use. Breakfast in the main house was a treat—home cooked and many options. Beautiful B&B compound!

Just an overnight stay but I was made to feel very welcomed by the front desk lady who I regret name I have forgotten. She also checked me out and was just so nice. She was the only staff I encountered. I found the inn lovely, absolutely beautiful and everything perfect.

Great location for Downtown Gainesville. The breakfast was great with a number of choices every day. Room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

I don’t have any negative comments about our stay.

The Sweetwater Branch Inn is a lovely, quaint property that reminds us so much of the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA. Delightfully imperfect in the perfect way, everything!! The old fashioned setting, coupled with wonderful amenities are a joy to experience!
