Location is just great, very clean, breakfast choices are great, breakfast location ideal to start the day, sun beds, beach towels, staff is amazing, couldn’t fault anything. Buses just 4 min walk and the buses will take you around the island at your leisure times.

Sleep wasn’t too comfortable as there were two separate single beds that moved apart every time I moved in the bed, or moved away from the bed headboard when watching tv and wanted to adjust the pillow. It would have been ideal to join the 2 beds by a double mattress protector and then by a double sheet that might kept the beds together and they didn’t move apart during the night, this would have made my stay 10/10 .

The hotel is 3 stars, and we rested in a 5-star hotel. Great view of the ocean. The hotel itself is located right in the ocean! There is also a view of the southern shore of El Medano. Leaving the hotel, you can visit many cafes, restaurants and the embankment. Sometimes they construct a stage with live music! The hotel itself has a very tasty breakfast and very friendly staff. You will be greeted like beloved relatives, the room will be cleaned qualitatively and provided with a transfer to the hotel and the airport. I recommend it to everyone! P.S. In honor of my birthday they made me a delicious dessert :)

Breathtakingly beautiful location for swimming and seaview. The hotel, formerly a shipping dock and storage facility, is partly built on pillars into the sea (terrace) and is located in a scenic small pedestrian steet opening to the sandy beach and the main square, with lots of small shops and a variety of nice restaurants and bars looking out at the sea. I had booked a very nice superior room with balcony but with only a lateral seaview out to the beach and paid an upgrade of 20.- per night upon arrival for a spacious and beautiful deluxe front sea view room with balcony. From the large sun terrace you have direct access to the sea via a staircase into the water. Big adavantage: you can change immediately into dry clothes/swimwear at the shower on the terrace. Very good breakfast, but only untel 10am, since I love swimming before breakfast, I would have preferred 11 am. Very professional and friendly staff, very good service at the restaurant and the bar. Open air live music on Fridays. Long morning or sunset walks along the shoreline or on the wooden path above the beach (natural reserve). No cars close to the beach! El Medano is rather small, no big hotel towers, only one 4 story bigger hotel across the bay, mainly appartments. End of March was perfect, not crowded, no need for reservations at the restaurants, sea temperature 20', mostly sunny (and windy)

The shower at the terrace would need a refurbishing, and everybody swimming in the ocean would probably very much appreciate hot water (only cold water). The deluxe front rooms with balcony facing the sea are very nice, but a bit overpriced for a hotel without spa and gym...but for me the view to the open sea was worthwhile. I

Breakfast ok but staff under a lot of pressure at peak time .same for bar/terrace areas with staff at busy times too busy in bar to take orders at tables outside so most people were placing orders at the bar. Very annoying to have to rent a safe in the room which is not even automated and you have to lie on the floor to see what’s in it. Furniture throughout needs updating although all these quibbles does add a sort of old fashioned art deco charm to the place.

The location is amazing with terrific views. Just outside the door, there are plenty of restaurants and shops, and you can step straight from the terrace to the ocean. My room didn’t have a balcony, but there was a huge terrace just a few meters from my room with a shower. The breakfast had a wide selection and was good. You can sit outside, enjoy your breakfast, and take in the views. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom doesn’t have much space for toiletries, just the sink, which isn’t ideal for three people, but we managed. The room is a bit cramped for three, and the elevators are pretty small, but you can always take the stairs.

I went in low season, meaning that the hotel was almost empty. This was indeed something positive. The Internet connection is good and the kindness of the reception is really good. The room is just essential, don't expect anything than the basics. The hotel is offering a continental breakfast, so you have a large variety of food that you could test, both if you like a salty or a sweet breakfast. Inside the hotel there is a terrace where you could enjoy your cocktails facing to the sun, with some good privacy. The hotel is at 0 meters from the beach, you just exit from the hotel and you are already swimming. Keep in mind that the water is oceanic, meaning that you could find colder than elsewhere. If you have kids, there is a public kinder park right in front of the hotel. The park is really good for kids between 2 and 8 years old. Just out of the hotel there are many bars, restaurants, I tested some, and all with a high quality. You will eat well. Just at 30 minutes walking there are two small hills that you could visit if you like to make some hiking (30 more minutes to go up). Medano is a small island of peace, where you have enough things just next to you, if you just want to relax without making a step, this is an excellent choice.

The major negative point is that I went during the weekend, because the place is like an island, the buses to connect Medano with other cities or with the airport are coming once every hours, so if you miss one bus you will likely wait hours to get the next connection, meaning that you might risk to get isolated. Moreover I used Google to synchronize with the bus timetable, but it was unreliable: you should use the local application for the buses, but also in this case buses are always with delay. If you are considering to explore the cities around, this place could limit your movements if you don't have a car.

The hotel is in the best location, we could see fish from our balcony and watch people surfing and swimming. All of Médano's highlights are just outside the door. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was beautiful too. We appreciated the smart TV so we could watch our favourite shows when relaxing. The hotel was really clean and well looked after.

The breakfast had a wide spread but we would have preferred more vegan options including oat milk, vegan yogurt and more fresh fruits. The pastries were bad. They provided soya milk but it splits in coffee so we couldn't have coffee at breakfast. Nearly always the egg fritata or pastry thing also had meat. The seeded baguette was really nice.

I don’t eat breakfast but my friends did and both said it was extremely good with plenty of choice. The hotel is extremely nice, our room was very good with a lovely bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge and complimentary bottles of water. There are good sunbathing areas. The Terrace bar serves drinks until about 10 pm and food at lunchtime.

Arriving by car is not ideal. One cannot get near the hotel. However there is a facility to park for 20 minutes in order to unload luggage and get it to the hotel. This involves taking the luggage across the main square so it’s not ideal. Fine with a small amount of luggage. Then, trying to actually find a parking place in the town is the next hurdle to overcome. Altogether not ideal with one’s own transport.

Very nice room and also friendly staff. The check-in and check-out were pleasant and uncomplicated. Since this hotel is directly in the centre and the big plaza the beach, several restaurants, supermarkets and so on can be reached within walkin distance (less than 5 minutes). When I stayed in the hotel there was a big festival on the plaza and my room was facing directly to it. After a few days I asked if another room was available facing another direction due to the noise in the evening/night, and I was offered another room on very short notice. Thank you very much for this option and the customer friendliness.

Location - value for money

Have visited this hotel several times over the last few years. It’s a favourite of ours. It’s not a 5 star hotel but I feel it’s well above a 3 star in most aspects. Breakfast is good if you like it healthy. If you’re a “full English breakfast” type ( nothing wrong with this also) then you may want to remember you’re not in England so higher expectations for the price are unreasonable. Basics are there. All staff are mostly friendly from house keepers receptionists and bar staff.
