Very friendly and helpful staff to English speakers

Check-in area (also the restaurant for breakfast) is nice with a good view of the harbor. If you like coastguard ships, there is usually one parked not far away. There were plenty of chairs to lounge around in outside as well as on the restaurant's terrace. Sea kayaks were avaliable for free rental as long as you have a swimsuit. There were also paid options to rent fishing gear (until checkout) or go cruising for about 90 minutes. Your stay includes access to an onsen 10 minutes away by car with great views. Bath area at the property itself has 4 showers in the men's as well as a large bathtub the size of a hot tub. This tub does not appear to be the type that recirculates heated water, so if you come in awhile after someone has used it you may need to let some water out and top it off with hot water. The refrigerator in the room came with 2 bottles of water. For food, I only had breakfast, but the amount was plenty and the food was good. Rice, bread, and various drinks are self serve so you can have seconds of these if you like. Dinner is barbecue, but I did not choose this option in advance and thus can't review it. Staff however was great and checked to see if anyone nearby yakiniku restaurant would be open that evening and let me know their hours. The staff is fantastic and I couldn't ask for better. All interactions between me and staff took place in Japanese, but an English guide explaining the avaliable amenities are rules of the property was provided in addition to the Japanese one, which was helpful as I can speak conversational Japanese but am not proficient at reading it.

Fairly minor, but one of the 4 showers in the men's bath didn't have working hot water (it was luke warm). This was solved by just using the one next to it though, so not an issue unless it is really busy. The 1-2 person boat room did have some minor amounts of mold on the caulk sealing certain spots, but this kind of thing can happen when you are retrofitting a 1 room boat into an accommodation and need to run electrical and more lighting. In the spring, it was fine after opening the window for a bit to air things out, but this may be an issue if still present in the summer/winter where AC or heat may be in use without bringing in fresh air. It should be noted that problem is likely unique to this room and shouldn't reflect the rest of the property; larger boats need less modifications on the hull (if any) for the needed electrical work and glamping domes dont need any for obvious reasons. All other areas observed were perfectly clean. Not a negative, but more of a neutral observation: A car or taxi is recommended so you can access the property easily as well as use the affiliated onsen or get dinner if you don't opt for dinner at the property. If you choose to walk from the station, it is about 30 minutes. For dinner options in the area, there are many in town accessible by car, but the only one within 10 minutes walking is a yakiniku location with somewhat irregular operating days. The nearest convenience store is a 20 minute walk and is a Lawson, with 7/11 and Family Mart avaliable with a 30 minute walk.
