Hotel Giardino was in the perfect location. Centralized to cafe's, restaurants, churches, shopping etc. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the water lapping and birds singing. Our balcony overlooked Lake Maggiore. The view was spectacular! The room was modest and clean. The bathroom was tiny, with a very tiny shower. It worked for my daughter and I. The breakfast was delicious and lovely. It included fruit, yogurt, pastries, eggs, sliced meat n cheeses and cereal (something for everyone). The coffee machine was the best with many choices.

The air conditioning did not work as it had been one of the amenities advertised on Booking.com. When asked, the front desk staff stated that it had not been turned on yet for the summer. Even though it was warm, we were comfortable sleeping with the windows open. The shower was very small and leaked all over the bathroom floor.

The Hotel Giardino is fabulously located in central Arona, on the shore of Lake Maggiore and immediately connected to the historic and elegant shopping zone with multitudes of cafes and restaurants. The service in the hotel is very efficient, good breakfasts, a bar, great views on the lake side, and most usefully, and excellent attached restaurant (I like it more than others in Arona) for which if asked, the hotel will provide 10% discount cards. The selection of restaurant wines is phenomenal. This is not a five star style of hotel, but it is a fabulous place to stay, as I often do.

Comfortable room with view of lake and balcony. Nice desk and chair for laptop. Small refrigerator filled with expensive hotel beverages. Lots of room to put away clothes. Many receptacles to plug in devices. Large bathroom with bathtub, overhead shower and wand. Lots of room in bathroom to put products and hang towels. Right on edge of the old town budello, a 10 minute walk to train station and 5 minute walk to ferry landing. Lots of restaurant along the lake by the hotel. Grocery store 5 minutes away. Very nice staff. Decent breakfast served early and late with good coffee from a machine. I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, view and location but need to select room with view.

Wi-Fi to slow to use. I had to get data plan to tether my phone to my laptop and my wife’s tablet to stream movies. This is the only reason not to give hotel 10 star rating.

We stayed for one night near the end of our vacation in December. I picked this hotel because it was a short drive to the Milan airport, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Arona was a beautiful little town, even in December most of the restaurants and shops were open so we really enjoyed exploring. The hotel is in a perfect location and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The room was clean and warm, and the staff was very helpful. We checked out very early to get to the airport but I would happily stay here again for longer.

The location is perfect, short distance to every direction. Hotel staff is excellent and everything went as one hopes. I had the most basic room, and it's very good value for under 100e. Not new by any means, so if you are looking for that, go to another place.

Beds are a bit hard for my liking, walls are thin and garbage truck emptying out the glass bottles every morning at 7am isn't optimal. I wouldn't say they are deal breakers but I wouldn't pay over 100e for this.

Great location on lakefront. Excellent breakfast. General feeling of comfort.

The shower wasn't great, impossible not to splash everything in the bathroom (shower head could do with replacing). And unfortunately there were problems with the electricity/lights, which kept going off... this affected my room and others, as guests kept opening doors to find out what was happening. Sometimes everything came back on quite quickly, but at one point it took a long time... I don't know if this is a frequent occurrence, but it disrupted my evening.

I often stay in this hotel, the facilities are good, practical and homely, so the stay is always comfortable, and the breakfast selection is good and the staff always very helpful. For its price range the hotel is brilliant, and the attached restaurant (on the lake front) is very good and offers a 10% discount to hotel guests who ask at the hotel reception. The wine list is huge. This is the best located hotel in Arona, lake front, street parking in front of the hotel, attached to the historic centre and shops, central in town. There is a hotel bar, and breakfast can be enjoyed indoors or outside under a canopy, overlooking the lake.

I didn’t like the breakast. There was not much variety. The fruits were too unripe. As for vegetables, there were only tomatoes, and not every day. The pastries were not fresh enough. There were long lines for coffee, which didn’t even come close to tasting like the good coffee you normally find in Italy. The WiFi was terrible—I couldn’t watch a movie in the evening because of the constant interruptions. Also, the air conditioning made a terrible noise, but fortunately, I didn’t have to use it.

the hotel is in a perfect location, close to the train station and boat trips. situated lake side, we had a room with a lake view with amazing sunrises . Breakfast was continental buffet, breads cheese, cereals, fruit,eggs cakes coffee all very nice. the staff were very friendly. the room was a little outdated but very good value and also very clean. I would recommend staying here.

Right next to the lake and the restaurants and shopping. A nice level walk from the train station on sidewalks, so no worry about vehicle traffic. Lots of variety and good quality items offered at the included breakfast.

The decor looks outdated rather than beautifully olden. My bed had a spring or something hard really digging into me, but I didn't say anything to the front desk as I could just move to the other side of the bed.
