Loved the setting for our accommodation as it was out in nature and perfect to reset - we spent lots of time reading in our hammocks. Also lots of nearby activities to do such as chocolate hills, waterfalls, firefly tours. Some of the staff really went above and beyond to make us comfortable and allowed us to spend the day in the communal area after our check out. We found the street very charming to walk down as the locals are all very friendly there and said hello.

Would be great if you could rent paddleboards to use without a guide to explore yourself, unfortunately we found it too expensive for both of us to do the guided tour. Accommodation is far from the town (which adds to its charm) so we relied on the onsite kitchen for a lot of the food. We ordered food after our firefly tour at 20.00 and were told to order “simple things” as there was only 1 person working in the kitchen - it would have been nice to order what we wanted at the time. Weather was beautiful during our stay but we found it quite hot to sleep at night, a more powerful fan would be appreciated.

Excellent food, really good choice for breakfast and dinner, fresh ingredients and you could taste the difference. Loved the smoothie bowl and the Pina colada. Staff were exceptional- really going the extra mile to ensure our stay was special. Tranquil location but good tour options for both river trips and island tours. Staff happy to arrange these for you. Also kind enough to make us dinner when we arrived late on the first day.

No fault at all. Only matter to be aware of is not able to credit/debit card as payment. They have online payment options but these can take a while to set up so make sure you settle up the night before! Staff were very helpful in helping us sort this out and we still made our ferry on time!

I think you have to be a certain type of person to enjoy staying here.... if you don't like bamboo, ladders, trap doors and fans instead of air con - don't go. Thankfully we loved it. The location next to the river is perfect. We swam at least twice a day and instead of showers (which were great and very refreshing!) We liked the hammocks. The food was delicious. It was tucked away at the end of the road, and didn't feel very touristy - all the locals were lovely and waved and said hello every time we passed by.

Two nights probably would've been fine for us - we stayed 4 nights which felt too long. The top of the trap door felt like it was not sturdy enough to walk on when closed. We hired a scooter from the hotel - it was old, not very powerful and the speedo was broken. It cost more than down the road - we should have walked down and got one elsewhere.

The Water to Forest Ecolodge is a nice property built with natural materials (mainly bamboo) and located in a secluded location next to the river. The owner and the staff are constantly making improvements (they added fairy lights and plants during our stay) and they are really responsive. The river platform is a really nice spot too and the paddle equipment was good quality one. We organized our daily trips with the property and it was smooth and easy.

The property is small which adds to its charm but naturally limits the facilities. Could be nice to extend the rest area and add a few things for when it’s raining The showers could use some improvement but given the price it’s hard to fault overall.

I enjoyed my three nights here - it is an extremely memorable place to stay. I was in the shared “dorm” so I can’t comment on the cottages etc The food and drink in the restaurant were great, although the service here could sometimes be slow (that gives more time to chill in the Forest though) The staff were brilliant - I appreciated that they learnt our names and did what they could for us - especially a smiley female staff member who’s name I can’t remember sorry

For the shared dorm, it’s a very tight space for the single bed. The pillows were not the most comfortable and it was quite hot (despite the fan). All to be expected in the forest though. One thing that would be useful would be a hand towel in the shared bathroom area to dry your hands.

A Blissful Retreat on the Loboc River My stay at this accommodation, though brief, was truly exceptional. Nestled along the picturesque Loboc River, this resort offers a stunning natural setting that left me wishing I could extend my visit for a week. The lodging itself is simply spectacular, seamlessly integrated into the lush surroundings. The on-site restaurant serves delicious cuisine, adding to the overall experience. The resort's prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. The staff's warmth and hospitality were noteworthy, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere[4]. I highly recommend taking advantage of the kayaking or paddleboarding opportunities on the river[3][6]. Our paddleboarding guide was particularly outstanding, showcasing both expertise and friendliness that enhanced our adventure[6][8]. For those seeking a tranquil escape in nature, coupled with excellent amenities and activities, this resort delivers a perfect experience. The serene environment, combined with the range of available activities, makes it an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure.

My fiance proposed to me here so it will obviously always be a special place. The staff was super helpful and coordinated with him to arrange beautiful flowers and a candlelit dinner for us on the deck next to the river. Outside of that moment, the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind throughout our stay. We loved swimming in the river, reading books on the hammocks, laying in the sun outside of our room, getting massages, and eating delicious food and refreshing smoothies daily. There was no hot water in the shared showers but honestly it’s not needed when the weather is so hot and humid. The ecolodge is absolutely beautiful, we really loved how natural yet thoughtfully placed everything is. It is a work of art. Highly recommend the firefly watching on Sup boards at night. We had prebooked at another hotel before knowing WTF ecolodge offered the same for cheaper, so do think about booking when you get here. We also booked a scooter to go to the nearby waterfalls, which were incredible day trips. Twin falls (Pahangog Falls) is the best!! We had an amazing tourguide there, Abling. Ask for him if you can. Highly recommend visiting and highly recommend staying here during your visit to Bohol.

Loved the whole experience. The place is very secluded and away from busy life. This place is maybe not for those who need comfort and luxury. But it's brilliant for those seeking a little adventure and nature. It's a good loction once you have a bike. Close to the tarsier sanctuaries and a lot of other tourist spots.

The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a laundry service. We tried to wash our own clothes, but nothing dried outside because of the humility.

The team was lovely and they helped with food adaptations as I am vegan. The food in general was pretty good. The surroundings in the middle of the forest and next to the river were beautiful. Beds were comfy and the place is overall very cute.

Kitchen service was quite slow, but like I said the food was good. We wish there had been a bedside light. There is no hot water in the shower (they do warn you, I just didn't read it, so my bad!). We rented a motorbike through them, and it wasn't in the best conditions.
