Staff were very friendly and overwhelmingly helpful. Location excellent within a 10-15 minute walk to all tourist attractions. Facilities included swimming pool, jacuzzi, hamman and sauna which, for our four visits usually had to ourselves. Breakfast was good and usual four star buffet with a choice of good coffees served.

Small issue that fridge had not been cleaned out from previous occupant. A housekeeping oversight which was promptly resolved. From other reviews it seems there is an annex. Therefore request rooms in the main building (101-121, 201-221,301-321) as there is no lift. We stayed in main building.

Get ready to read quite a bit :) Before booking our stay I've surfed through most hotels available and I could not be any happier that at the end I decided to book Continental. Firstly, its a very new hotel (as of April 2023 only operating several months). Rooms still smell fresh, giving you that "new apartment" comfort. Rooms are larger than most hotels I've stayed at with similar price range. Photos do not do it justice. From the reception, to the room to the restaurant, everything is spotless. Secondly, staff are courteous, and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay and your needs are catered to. They also always greet you with a genuine smile. Thirdly, breakfast has a great range of delicious food, fresh bakery and good coffee. Reception has an ATM and a vending machine, which I found quite helpful. Lastly, location is perfect! Hotel is on a beautiful street and faces a park. During our 3 day stay we have only used taxi from and to the airport. For the rest, we've walked everywhere we needed to go. All the main tourist sites are in walking distance - Registon square is only 15 minutes away and half the journey can be taken through yet another park, which makes it a very pleasant walk. You can also find little grocery stores 5 minutes away from the hotel (to the right). If you're looking for a place to stay during your leisure trip, do book this hotel without hesitation. *(Walking distances opinion based on age range of 35-60, from people who are comfortable with 10,000-20,000 steps a day. Hotel staff can also arrange a car with a driver for a day who can take you around for a very reasonable price, if you would prefer to skip the walk. We have opted out as the weather was absolutely gorgeous and the walks through green city streets were actually the highlight of our trip).

We arrived early for check in and were happily greeted. The rooms were spacious and bright. The swimming pool was good although with no shallow end it was for swimmers. The steam and sauna both worked well. The breakfast was good and the selection changed daily. The hotel provided a wonderfully decorated and tasty cake for our daughter’s birthday it lasted three days in the fridge. The staff are friendly and very helpful with a good grasp of English .There is a wonderful restaurant the Boulevard just down the road for evening meals.

The gym has no air conditioning and was windowless thus hardly usable. Running is not a common pastime due to the heat in the summer. The pillows were hard but this may be the Uzbek standard. There was only one chair in the room, when it is hot you need at least two.

I would have to say that this is by far my favorite hotel in Samarkand. It was not just the amazing bath and spacious clean rooms but the staff. They were generous and attentive with their time. They assisted and accommodated to our needs. It was a wonderful stay and I would like to come again.

Brand new hotel located in a center area which is few minutes away from Registan. Spacious and comfortable rooms, wide selection of breakfast and working Wi-Fi. We had no issues with any utility. The stuff we’re hospitable and nice with accommodating to our needs.

Staff was absolute top professionals with passion for work. Very very helpful and friendly. They helped us with every request including booking the train to Buchara. Rooms were quiet, comfortable and big, hotel exterior and interior is nice. Pool inside was pleasant refreshing after hot days. Breakfast at high level. Location very good, 10-15 min walking from the most important atractions and restaurants.

The hotel is within the walking distance of Registan and other key monuments. It has a small indoor pool which comes very handy if you travel with kids and/or during the hot summer. The staff is very nice and can help to organise city sightseeing or even longer tours. The breakfast is very good with a large variety of salads, fruits and pastries. We also enjoyed a proximity to the Boulvard restaurant/bakery.

The bathroom in our room was a bit worn-out.

Our stay was excellent the hotel was clean, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was ok but didn’t really match the rest of the excellent standard of the hotel. Some of the food was quite cold - but we didn’t go hungry, there was still plenty of options.

Huge rooms, outstanding staff, 15 minute walk to Registan Square. Breakfast buffet had wide variety of offerings. Previous reviews and even Booking's listing state there isn't an elevator but THERE ABSOLUTELY IS AN ELEVATOR! What I appreciated the most was the helpful staff and management.

The hotel only offers breakfast and the eateries in the immediate vicinity are geared towards the budget of university students. The nearest small grocer is a 10 minute walk and the better restaurants are further away.

The hotel was nice, great location and it could be a really good hotel, but the maintenance and overall condition of the hotel could be better. We had curtains that would not close properly, had to tie them up with a clothes-peg (even after they were "fixed"), one plug to share fridge and electric jug, the restaurant/breakfast room was ok, but a bit cheap given how splendid the room actually was - small things but not expected for such a "high quality" hotel.

I would not recommend the tour arranged by the hotel staff. It was too expensive for what we had (we could have had a much better car for half the price) and the tour guide was not experienced or very organised/knowledgable. I don't think he got paid that much either considering what we paid.
