Beautiful and Serene facility. Gated Facility with myriad of Flourishing Garden throughout the grounds with Fish pond. Each unit is separate from the rest. Setting is a bungalow style living each with separate path and private entrances. Very friendly and helpful Staff. Breakfast (included) is excellent and ample choices! 2 small water bottle provided each day. Cleaning daily included. Fireplace in the room. The Master room had two wood fireplaces. extra sink by Coffee Machine. Truly appreciate the coffee maker and replenished daily (2 pods).

No microwave or kitchenette; only small fridge with goodies for purchase (inexpensive). No AC or heating but Fireplace was sufficient heating and not in room during daytime (electric in this room). No restaurant with bar (serves breakfast only and has no Bar). However, Wines available for purchase in each room(price less expensive than a cocktail).

What a gem of a hotel. Guayaba Inn was THE most perfect slice of heaven. We spent 4 nights there and could have stayed forever. Every single staff member was so kind and friendly. The gardens were just gorgeous. We loved watching the humming birds in the morning visit the beautiful flowers. The rooms were so cozy, especially at night with the fires lit. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and they have a great variety on the menu of both food and drinks. We loved coming back to the room after a day of exploring and winding down by the fireplace with a glass of wine. We found some great restaurants all very close to the hotel and there’s a little corner store right down the street for any incidentals you may need! We will definitely stay here again the next time we come to San Cristobal!! We had one room in the newer section and one room in the older section. Differences were a gas fireplace vs wood burning (we preferred the gas one) and more lighting in the room in the newer section. But both rooms were cozy, clean and comfortable!

Nothing. Literal perfection.

The staff is incredibly welcoming and the breakfast is delicious. It was nice that there was a big window (8-noon) for breakfast so we never felt rushed. The beds were so comfortable and it felt luxurious for what we paid.

It can get very cold at night and the heating options are a little complicated but I think that’s to be expected in this area. In the shower, hot water only lasts a couple minutes and you have to have patience or be willing to brave the cold to get clean! But I think that’s also typical for the area and it didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay.

We loved our large and sunny room, and the gardens are a real bonus. The friendly gardener does a super job! The breakfasts were excellent, as were the ladies who worked at the breakfast. We enjoyed long lingering breakfasts with garden views every day.

There was a big glitch on our travel partners' return trip to the airport. A couple days prior, they modified the pickup time and the manager told us that he would pass it on to the transport company.. He didn't. The van never came and our friends were left standing on the street at 7:15 a.m. No manager or office person was present at the inn but fortunately the night security man flagged down a cab off a nearby street. That was both late and expensive.

This is a charming, small boutique hotel outside of the city center in a beautiful barrio called El Cerillos. Our room was very large with an iron balcony large enough for table and chairs, and it had a sitting area and gas fireplace. The courtyard has lots of greenery and a fountain and goldfish pond. Breakfast is included; guests order from a fairly extensive menu. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from town on quiet streets of houses with beautiful ironwork. The hotel is close to Barrio Guadalupe which is home to an interesting church, and is on a hill above the town. Don’t miss dinner and sunset at El Charcuterie. If you like craft beer, stop at the Jules microbrewery. San Cristobal is one of the most beautiful small towns we have seen in Mexico.

The coffee was quite bad, which is unfortunate asChiapas produces some of the best cacao in Mexico.

Its a very nice, silent house in a beatiful neighborhood (el cerrillo) near everything but far away from the noise of casco

It is something minor but it would be great that the kitchen had an electric kettle for after breakfast hours. Rooms have expresso machines but you cannot boil water. And in the kitchen, staff only uses microwave after breakfast hours because it has an industrial kitchen.

The breakfast was good - limited but tasty , coffee was a bit weak but these things happen the breakfast room is very peaceful . All the staff were helpful & unobtrusive. The gardens are beautiful & the overall feeling of this hotel is calm. My small room near the front wasn’t exactly as luxurious as the photos might imply . But it was very comfortable if a bit dark . I suspect the more pricey rooms are nicer . Quiet location but easily walkable .

Room was dark hard to see Location of room wasn’t very private a bit awkward I was hoping to have a more cozy spot to enjoy the garden

It is very calm and peaceful, it felt like a spa break. Breakfast was generous with lots to choose from. Staff helped us organise a driver for the day for a good price, who was amazing and really made our trip special. We’d recommend using his services!

Nothing!

Amazing facilities and service, very attentive, great breakfast. Very large comfy room, amazing bed and pillows.

Hard to regulate water temperature, but it seems a common problem in San Cristobal everywhere. Location is a bit far from everything and I wouldn’t come back walking at night.
