Smart concept. No fussing around. The room were on a detatched building from the main reception/restaurant building, so very quiet. Personally for me that was just a traveling through stop, still the hotel is in areally smart location. 5 mins away from the Eurotunnel and still close to the town center. And most important since I was travelling on my Motorbike the interior parking (sadly not guarded but separated from the road by a fence)

Those who are travelling to France on ferry this is just 15 min away from Calais ferry port and is on the motor way to Paris . The rooms are really cozy with good beds and pillows . Toilets are clean and well maintained . The room heater was working perfect to keep us warm during winter time . Hotel serves breakfast with fruits , pan cakes and few other items . Overall value for money for those looking for budget accommodation this meets the requirement

Nothing to complain about

We’ve stated before as it close to the Eurotunnel so nice and easy for us when leaving and returning to the UK

Toilet brush and holder were sat on the shelf where the empty paper cups are and where you would most likely leave toothbrush, hair brush etc directly above the sink !! Not on the floor next to the toilet as you would expect to find Made us both feel uneasy about the cleanliness overall

The room is very basic and does need a fresh lick of paint, however, the place feels well looked after by the management. The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. The bed linen and towels were white and spotless. The kettle looked new and there was coffee and a variety of tea. The water pressure in the shower was also very strong and there was a bath (always a bonus:) We didn't have breakfast but the reception area looked good. The perfect stopover if you need a good rest.

Dinner at night was a good balanced selection of local French produce was was of good quality. The breakfast was the usual continental breakfast with a good choice and well presented.

The rooms have been recently reburbished but could be doing with air conditioning. The grounds are somewhat neglected and needing attention. This did not affect our stay.

Very friendly staff. Everything was spotlessly clean. I booked the room in April and requested a ground floor room, Dog friendly and a cot for our one year old . We were arriving late after a 300 mile drive. Everything was provided as requested.

Parking was quite tricky as all the parking spaces other then recharging and disabled were taken

This was an excellent stopover hotel. When we arrived we thought it looked a bit down at heel. but we were wrong. Our room was basic but extremely clean, with an accessible bathroom. We ate our evening meal at the hotel, and it was excellent, and very good value. Breakfast was also extremely good. I'd definitely be happy to stay at the Campanile Calais again.

Tv didn't work, but I am sure if we'd spoken better French and felt able to report it. it would have been easily fixed.

The previous night we had stayed in a former Campanile, now branded as Kyriad, in Soisson, which was a bad experience, so our expectations were low - so what a pleasant surprise this Campanile turned out to be! The external appearance and condition of the buildings could do with a refresh but internally our room and public areas were really well presented, linen and towels were clean and fresh, the kettle and associated teas & coffees were present, the missing hairdryer was immediately replaced once its absence was highlighted, a large secure car park for our motorcycle was welcome, the staff without exception were courteous and friendly, the location is perfect for accessing the ferry port and in a relatively quiet part of town standing alone adjacent to a residential area so noise during the night was minimal. There is little in the way of options in the immediate area for eating but that is not a problem as the food served up by this Campanile restaurant proved to be exceptional! Can't comment on the breakfast as we left early and chose to eat on the ferry instead.

If you want to explore the area on foot there's not much to see and its quite a trek into the centre of Calais - but we did it and found it to be very worthwhile as its a far nicer town/city then you are led to believe with some beautiful buildings and a nice vibe about the place.

Clean and good value. At this price range you don't expect top facilities but this was a clean, comfortable overnight stay. The aircon in the room worked well and cooled the room down when it was a bit too warm on arrival. The shutters meant I could make the room really dark which helps me sleep. Kettle and drinks in the room and breakfast was really good for the price with lots of choice. A grassy footpath directly across the road to quickly walk the dog was a welcome bonus.

Arriving very late, parking was a bit tight with quite a few trader's vans taking up a 'space and a bit' but I managed to squeeze in so not a big issue.

We spent only one night but I would consider spending my full holidays there. Receptionist was extremely helpful and kind. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but we were traveling with 2 dogs (5€ per night per dog btw) and everything was accomodating. It is always difficult to travel with your pets, 2/who are a part of your family and not all accommodations respect that. Campanile has enclosed garden if you want to let your pet roam around which is very helpful. Accommodation was very close to Calais fort. Parking can be overcrowded but there os an option of parking outside in front of the property with CCTV operating. Overall i feel this is a great option for someone who is travelling on budget and long distances with pets. I'm extremely grateful to Campanile as all other places charged at least 10€ per night for a dog. Dogs are a part of our family and should not be drastically charged and punished for being brought along. Thanks very much and hopefully see you again.
