The location is absolutely amazing, you won't find a better one in that regard. I loved my room, and it was great to be able to cook there, so I didn't have to go out every day for food. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and I will definitely stay here again. The parking was a little difficult on the day there was a major music festival, but other than that, it was good.

The only thing that was kind of a problem for me was that the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking but they don't necessarily enforce that very well. The lobby is filled with smoke a lot of the time from people standing in front of it and smoking, and smoke gets into the rooms because of that too.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the beach. The staff were warm and friendly. Parking was convenient. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

There was no air conditioning or fan in the room, which made it very hot at night in the summer. Even with the window open, the curtains blocked the airflow, and it could get quite noisy at night when people occasionally passed by. I suggest providing a fan in each room, even if air conditioning is not installed. Other facilities were a bit dated, but considering the location and price, this is understandable.

Lovely spacious room with superb view of the sea and promenade. Kitchenette very cute with microwave, kettle and fridge. Very accommodating for our large dog - who was able to have short walks behind the carpark. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The bed was so comfortable I noted down the name of the manufacturer! Will certainly stay there again next time we take the Euroshuttle, as the terminal is located just a couple of miles down the road and the hotel, situated on the Calais promenade, is perfect for walks after hours on the motorway.

Superb location and breakfast. Beds comfortable. Shower was in the bath and water was hot. Heating adequate in the room. Front parking for car good and there is rear parking as well., there is one parking spot marked as for disabled and a disabled ramp access ( helpful as we were with my 90 year old mother) bus service easy to get to if you want to go into town. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful.

Bath tub in room 220 was chipped and door banging. Exterior could do with a paint. Room 102 had a wet puddle on the toilet floor but mopped up by staff and did not happen again. For UK visitors…..bring your own EU plug adapter!

Had a corner room on second floor looking out over the beach- enjoyed watching the maritime traffic. Room was sunny, beach was right across the promenade. Reception was very helpful with parking, brkfst was basic and what there was was good. Dinner available right next door at Hotel Restaurant de la Plage- excellent menu with assortment of seafood and local cuisine, very basic and very hospitable.

Usual separation of water closet and bathroom- no ventilation in either. But both were clean and functional.

Several reviewers cited a complete lack of items that would be needed if the kitchenette facilities were to be used.... cutlery, plates,glasses,pans etc. We didn't actually need to use this kitchenette though indeed found it odd. HOWEVER whilst checking out I spotted a clear notice on the reception desk offering kitchen equipment if requested so please ignore others' comments.

The location was perfect right opposite the beach Private car parking . The staff where incredibly helpful . The breakfast was surprisingly good with bacon eggs cereal toast yogurt fruit ham cheese croissants ect all buffet style to help your self

The only thing I didn’t like was not staying longer I had to return home I’d loved to of had another night . There is nothing to not like . The price was excellent the position was excellent and the people was excellent. Don’t expect Glamour and bell boys but you will get a lovely nights accommodation. It’s large and spacious and peaceful

Perfect location for overnight stop before using ferry or channel tunnel. (Literally only 15 mins from the tunnel at most). Inside the building is modern and spacious. Our room was very clean, neat and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is available at extra cost. Friendly helpful staff. There is ample parking available. Beach is just over the road. There is a restaurant next door for evening meal/ food during the day.

From the outside it now looks very tired and grubby...not like the photos. However inside it is absolutely fine. An extra folding case stand would have been useful.

The location of the hotel is excellent and staff are friendly. The rooms are a good size and we really like the kitchenette. My husband has dementia and he finds it difficult to have breakfast in a strange place, so being able to deal with that in the room is really helpful. We can also self-cater if he is having a difficult day.

The only downside is the tight space getting in and out of the WC.

Generally, Calais is getting very expensive for an overnight stop before using Le Shuttle, but compared to other hotels/lodges we have previously been to, the price/quality of this one is much better.
