Heidi and Paul are the best host we have ever met. If you like a homemade breakfast with lots of choices and a rich portion you must book Harriet House. The beds are so nice and the rooms have everything you possible will need. A refrigerator with cold water, a kettle, a coffeemaker, coffee and biscuits. Clean towels, soaps and a hairdryer. A real good shower, with a lot of warm water. The room you have your breakfast in is a lovely conservatory. Everything is tidy and clean and you are treated like a king and queen. Even our daughter ( who we were visiting) were invited for breakfast, so we got more time together. We even decided to stay a day longer and that without any problems and to a better price. It is not far away from the Canterbury city. But 15-25 minutes ( at a low speed)depending on were you going. From the station it took us aprox. 15 min to walk. Very easy to take the trains or buses to the wellknown Dover, Whitstable, Broadstairs and Margate, if you want to see more than Canterbury.

Everything was great.

We have just come back from a four day break in Canterbury and stayed at the Harriet House B&B. From the moment we were met at the door by Heidi with a warm and welcoming smile who took us to our room we felt completely at home. The room was warm, exceptionally clean and the beds were amazing we both slept very well and woke up refreshed. The tea and coffee facilities were plentiful with extras such as biscuits, hot chocolate, fresh filtered water and a coffee machine and you could help yourself to any additional items you needed. When it comes to the breakfast we have to say it was the best in any place we have stayed in. Paul the Owner cooks it fresh to order with first class bacon and sausages, fresh mushrooms, roasted cherry tomatoes and beans. There are other hot breakfast choices available as well. There is also a cold buffet available with cereal, pastries, fruit and yogurt. We would not hesitate to recommend Harriet House to Family and Friends and cannot wait to stay with Paul and Heidi again next year.

There is nothing at all we did not like and we cannot think of any improvements that would be necessary, the B&B in our humble opinion is perfect just the way it is.

After parking in the secure car park We were warmly welcomed by Heidi and shown to the delightful Peacock room. A lovely modern, spacious, beautifuly decorated room. With a large spotless en suite shower. Heidi familiarised us with all the details that would make our stay comfortable. We met (Chef)Paul at breakfast the next morning. Another warm friendly greeting. The breakfast is freshly cooked with a lots of tasty choices. Especially the pancakes. Heidi and Paul are excellent hosts for their lovely bed and breakfast. Every thing has been thought of. We had a fun friendly five day stay. We hope to return.

It's very close to the main attractions via a gorgeous riverside walk, and there's a Sainsbury's nearby if you need to grab something. Heidi and Paul are wonderful hosts, and they do everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable. The little touches - such as the filtered water, the map provided and even the vegan cream for me - made it even more charming. The room had everything one could need. The breakfast was excellent, and they cater to different dietary options, so everyone is welcome. Thank you so much once again for this lovely stay, it was nice meeting you both!

Lovely place to stay within 15 minutes walk of the city. Paul & Heidi are great hosts and have thought of everything from helpful labels in the room and a great information pack to sleep masks /ear plugs and USB points for charging. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. If we come back this way in the future, we'd definitely stay here again.

The bath towels could have been a bit bigger but that was the only thing. Everything else was perfect.

The hosts, Heidi and Paul, were lovely and provided good advance information and a warm greeting when we arrived. The whole house is immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean with an easy to use door entry system so you can come and go as you please. Flasks of fresh filtered water were available for the room in unlimited quantity which was a nice touch, as was the provision of a small safe for valuables in the room. The breakfasts were freshly prepared to order, consisted of high-quality ingredients and were generous in size - definitely no skimping! The car park is small but gated at night, so book your place in advance and rest easy.

We were on the top floor which I suspect could get rather warm in hotter weather and the ceiling in our room sloped down quite low over one side of the bed. You don't need a hard hat, but you do need to be very careful to avoid banging your head.

The Harriet House is a true GEM! Communication with the hosts was outstanding! We especially liked having parking in the back! The room was spotless and roomy and the bed was comfortable! The hosts suggested a place for dinner and it was one of the best dinners we had on our 2 week visit. The hosts were SO HELPFUL and PROFESSIOAL and FRIENDLY!!! WE loved that we could walk everywhere - LOCATION was FANTASTIC!!! Highly recommend! Would recommend a stay of at least 2 nights

This was such a lovely place to stay for 2 nights. I had the single room but there was plenty of space and the bed was really comfortable. I was greeted warmly on arrival and at breakfast each morning. I liked that you could choose beforehand the time you would like breakfast (from 8 to 9am) and then the breakfast was cooked fresh for that time. The breakfast was delicious.

Only thing I can say is that floorboards were squeaky and you could hear the movements of people next door...but I'm also a light sleeper so that doesn't help. The bed and the room was lovely though.

Heidi and Paul are wonderful hosts. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Harriet House is well located in a quiet location, an easy walk to Canterbury Cathedral and all amenities. Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious. It was great to have on-site parking as this is not always an option so close to city areas.

There is nothing not to like. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre yet within easy reach, just a 10 mins walk. It has its own parking area which is kept secure at night, as gates are kept closed . The property is well maintained and kept clean.

There is a very busy road at the front and can be noisy. However the double glazing helps. During the very warm night had to keep the window open ( even with the fan on) and obviously were disturbed by traffic noise. Some people might not be bothered by this as not everyone is a light sleeper.
