Nearby the station and outlet mall so food choice was not an issue There are buses near the hotel that travels different parts of the sightseeing area. Price is very reasonable for the locations.

Small room size. The rooms are not so clean. Found hairs on the table/ floors and some small dirts on the floor. But there are disposable slippers so still okay, I guess. Went during nov, room are heated up and is controlled by them. We like our rooms to be cool, so we just open the window to let the cold air enter, not a big issue

Location was perfect - the hotel is right by JR Karuizawa Station as well as the bus stop that brings tourists to Kyu Karuizawa, Mikasa Dori, Shiraito Falls, and all the way to Kusatsu Onsen. So you can do a day trip to Kusatsu Onsen straight from the bus stop that is really close by the hotel. Not to mention, the beds were extremely comfortable! Perfect for sinking into after a long day of sightseeing. The room was spacious, and the bathtub was actually bigger than expected from other APA Hotels I've been to.

The hotel is located near Karuizawa Station, just a few minutes' walk to Prince Outlet and Old Ginza town. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Rooms are bigger than usual, clean and quiet. They have a free coffee available at the lobby, perfect during winter.

parking is full and need to pay fees for public parking. But fees is not expensive, only 600 yen for 24 hours and walk a short distance.

Very helpful at check-in and when forwarding luggage. Easily found as can been seen from North Exit of Karuizawa Station. Generous meals at in-house restaurant. Loved the provision of a large cloth to place on bed under suitcase — it was labelled as being for this purpose.

No dislikes.

Functional compact room handy to the train station. Arrived at train station at 5.10pm and after check-in got a reasonable length sleep, shower and change of clothes checking out around 9am to put my bags in a locker at the train station. For those without a vehicle, consider the Karuizawa free pass. Please note that the Red Metro bus is unable to take passengers when the road is wet to Usui Observation Platform. All the other buses were running in the wet and I highly recommend Shirato Falls and Harunire Terrace where I had a terrific Indian meal.

My stay at this hotel was very brief. It was unfortunate for me that I was not aware that staying on a Saturday is twice the price of other evenings. In reviewing the cost, I note that Karuizawa is across all accommodations more expensive than Nikko my previous stop or Nagano my next stop. It is a very popular getaway for people from Tokyo. I would say that you can't get a better price in Karuizawa. Is it value for money? No. The rate is aligned to the local market.

The location is great.

The laundry is located in another building and there is just one dry and washing machine which is extremely busy. We stayed there for ski for the whole week which desired to laundry service. Unfortunately, the washing machines broken and there is no other laundry nearby.

Within short walking distance to train & bus stations. Room was ready before checkin time & we were allowed to checkin before time. Staff were swift to do checkin & out for their guests.

The bathroom tub is a little high to climb in & out. The hotel lobby was a little too small & clamp, and only with few seats for guests waiting to checkin.

The room is large and comfortable .

The hotel is too strict and force to upgrade to double room when they see 2 person where the room i book is sufficient for 2 person to stay in a single room. Do not have any convenience store nearby the hotel. Only 1 restaurant nearby is open at night and dinner is either dine in hotel or walk to that BBQ restaurant. Suggest to have a convenience store for the traveler to purchase foods too instead of existing 2 drinking vending machine.

Staff are very kind and helpful. I ordered a non-smoking room, but in the first night, they gave me a room with strong smell of smoke. I asked for changing the room that night, a young man was very helpful and immediately helped me to change a room with no smell. Everything else was perfect.
