Excellent accomodation with easy access to the beach. We had a spacious room directed to the beach front with a great view towards the sea. Notice however that the building is on a busy road that connects Peniche with Ferrell and ear plugs are recommended to guarantee a comfortable sleep. The facilities are fairly new and housekeeping/cleaning is well organised. Great communication with management who seeks to meet your wishes (e.g. the room does not include a cooler according to the description but the owner resolved this by offering to recharge cooling units for our cooling box). Breakfast is simple but delicious and serves for a great start into the day. Also great to know: the owner sells self-made ice cream in the Gabana-coffee place on the ground floor which is absolute delicious! In sum Gabana offers a combination you simply can't go wrong with!

We stayed for two nights and amazongly the room was cleaned during our stay which was great. Spot on cleanliness. The location is amazing in center of baleal and just a walking distance from beaches, restaurants. The room had a nice balcony overseeing the sea. It was amazing how comfy the bed was.it is important to note that though there is no AC, baleal gets really cold at night all year round. So there is no need. We slept with window open and it was great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The offered breakfast had some nice varieties. Looking forward to stay next year!

Just a great location directly across the street from an excellent flat sand beach with surf break … within easy to several other beaches in the area. The room with balcony facing the sea was roomy with beach chairs to take in the sea views. The breakfast offered a good selection of food choices in the bright open dining room … a beach bar and gelato bar are on the ground floor with a surf school as well.. board and bike rentals offered as well.. just a great stay!

The hospitality of the owners reflected in the perfect cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed and the perfect room that we got. We did not have the sea view room but from the balcony, we were able to look at the surf from the room itself. Besides the accommodation, the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Even special requests were accepted without any issues.

If there has to be anything to dislike, it would have been the weather, but the owners of Gabana Baleal Beach have absolutely no influence on that.

The staff, the food, the facilities, the other guests and the surrounding is a piece of paradise. Friendly, soft, peaceful and beautiful furnishings and colours, not to mention the morning coffee. It really shows that the staff (owners?) love their place and want to share it with us.

A minicooler and a waterheatet on the room would have been nice. And maybe some storage for surfboards and place to dry the wetsuits.

The location is perfect for surfing, right by the beach. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Management was helpful in arranging both a late check-in and a late check-out so we could surf one more time before leaving.

The only downside is the translucent glass at the bottom of the bathroom wall.

We were there in may and the ice cream parlour bar was closed very early so you couldn't use in the evening. A tea and coffee facility in the room would have been good.

Typical Portuguese breakfast. The room was clean, the facility was well-kept. No problem with entering the facility despite the lack of hotel staff at the time of arrival. Very good location. Close to the Praia do Medao Grande. Close to Peniche and Berlangas Island.

Everything was alright.

Very clean, spacious room with a wonderful view. Very friendly and organised establishment. Close to beaches, walks, viewpoints, eateries, shops. Good breakfast, rooms cleaned daily, and easy access by separate entrance.

The road was a bit loud at night, but not the hotel's fault.

We come to take surf lessons for 4 days. Very lucky. because the hotel was next door to the surf school and we didn't have to go far. Also, the hotel was very close to the ocean, so we didn't have to carry the board for a long time. Great staff helped us and did everything to make us comfortable. The room was cleaned every day, except for a weekend on Monday, so the room was always clean, which is very good because there was a lot of sand from the beach. The room itself is small and cozy, there is a balcony and a little view of the ocean. Breakfasts were included. We liked it very much!
