La Melanotte is a lovely place for 1 or 2 nights or even longer. We stayed for 1 week and had a relaxing holiday. It’s in a great neighbourhood, with secure parking and peaceful with great facilities including a swimming pool, and a room with pool table. The house and rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated throughout. You will find a warm, friendly welcome by the hosts Jerome and Natalie. Always a great breakfast with fresh croissants, baguettes, freshly made coffee and squeezed orange juice, selection of jam, butter, honey and a large selection of fresh fruit every day.

It's a beautiful house in extensive grounds within easy reach of the airport. However you would never know this as it's so peaceful. The welcome was warm & our host very accommodating. Our room was lovely & the windows framed by wisteria. There are beautiful shared spaces for relaxing in. It helped us that the host has very good English.

Not the fault of the host, but the location is on quite a busy road & the arrival is slightly tricky as there are electronic gates. Our host was quick to open the gates & we had our own key fob for subsequent comings & goings. A kettle in the room would have been nice. But we accept that the hosts are very particular about eating & drinking in the room.

We loved our stay at La Mélanotte. Jerome and Natalie were so helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay with our young baby. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and huge with plenty of space and we could not hear any other guests despite it being an old building. We had a car so could come and go at our leisure which made travelling into Toulouse and surrounding areas easy. The grounds were so peaceful and it was a pleasure to stay.

The swimming pool was absolutely freezing (which is fine as it didn’t say it was heated) and lots of mosquitoes, which is probably normal but made it difficult for us as I am prone to getting badly bitten.

We decided not to drive into Toulouse after warnings about expensive parking and difficulty finding a place to park, so instead found the metro was about a 30 minute walk from the hotel so we went into the city by metro. Great plan! Very clean, frequent and inexpensive. Where we stayed we found 2 great restaurants we could walk to so we never had to move the car for the 2 days we were there.

The breakfast could have had a better selection of fruit, perhaps some yogurt, as we aren't big croissant/bread people and didn't have many options to choose from. It would have been nice to have a magnification mirror in the bathroom too for us girls. Should have been pre-warned as to how to find the house, as the gate and turn into the gate was not easy to navigate to in the rush hour traffic, but once in, it was a pleasant surprise as the house was fantastic and the furnishings excellent.

Beautiful early 1900's style house that is fairly new on the B&B market. We wished we had another night here! The beds and rooms were very comfortable and we were provided with a baby bed for our baby. Breakfast was at a common table and was simple with fruits, croissants, bread and jam. We chose to have breakfast here as the location is not close to much else. There is parking onsite, a large garden, pool, and conference rooms.

This was not a problem for us but just a word of warning: the water takes a long time to heat up. The house is very old so if you need a quick shower, make sure you turn on the water well before needed so it has time to heat up! Also, if you need quick access to Toulouse this is quite far out of the way.

We really enjoyed our suite with a nice garden view: A spacious and tastefully decorated room with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, and we could order cheese, ham, yogurts and juice without extra costs. The hosts were very attentive and carried our heavy luggage to the first floor. Since we had a car, it was not a problem that la Mélanotte was located 7-8 km outside Toulouse. We just enjoyed relaxing in the garden when returning from sightseeing in Toulouse.

We had a fabulous stay with Jerome he was so welcoming and such a great host. The house was beautiful, very homely with a nice living room with a fireplace and a pool room too. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom. We would highly recommend staying her at La Melanotte.

La Melanotte is a beautiful house with wonderful surroundings. We loved our stay here and we would definitely come back. We visited at the beginning of May 2023 by car and it was perfect. There is plenty of space to park the car on the premises at no extra cost. I don't know how close it is to the city center by public transportation, but by car it's super close. There is a piano and a pool table that are available for guests. Additionally, there is a pool for swimming on the property, but it is available in the warmer season. The rooms are squeaky clean and tastefully furbished and decorated. We had a huge bathroom. The breakfast was an excellent French one: croissants, various jams, excellent bread, butter, plenty of fruit, cheese, coffee, tea etc.

Jérôme is an exceptional host. He booked a lovely local restaurant within walking distance from the hotel, offered to drive us and pick us up from the Metro, and booked us a taxi to the airport. We enjoyed a swim, a game of pool and a classic French breakfast with fresh bread, croissants and fruit. Easy bus plus Metro into town. Quirky decoration in a lovely old mansion. Bravo Jérôme!

Traffic noise from our room but only because we hadn’t figured out the remote for the air conditioning so left windows open.

Oh my goodness! The pictures do not do this property justice! We highly recommend it to any traveller! Beautifully decorated and room sizes were very large, towels sumptuous and linens and bed so comfortable!
