The food was amazing, we couldn’t have asked for better. It was also a fair price for the value. The staff were incredible throughout the entire resort. They provided great service, were polite and clearly enjoyed their jobs. The location couldn’t have been better. It was truly a small boutique resort experience as it didn’t have dozens of rooms and wasn’t over run with children.

There was construction noise prior to the allocated time of 11AM- 6PM. We heard noise between 8-9AM both mornings. Additionally the beds, pillows, sheets and towels were sub par and definitely need to be updated. We had stains on both our sheets and towels and the sheets were not at all crisp hotel white; they were simply just very worn.

Excellent location, on a private and clean beach! The rooms had amazing views, the food on each restaurant was amazing, plus they have different events at night. They arranged our pick up and drop off from and to the airport. Also all of the tours we got picked us up at the hotel on time. The staff was amazing and super polite and helpful, they really did their best to make our stay wonderful

Everything was great

Location was easy to town via taxi. Surrounding pool area was nice. Appeared to be enough chairs and umbrellas. Very helpful front desk.

No phone in rooms to call front desk. Had to trek to front desk to ask whatever questions we had. The 20 peso they charge for getting a taxi. We’ve been here a month, stayed in another resort area further from town and taxi was 20 peso’s cheaper. Not nice. Music they play around the pool sounds like club music. Not a relaxing sound to read or have conversations. People complained it was to loud.

After turning in my room. Staff made me pay for plastic that I had thrown away for the shampoo and conditioner. The staff didn’t tell me the shampoo or conditioner containers where part of the hotel and that I was going to be charged if I threw away disposable plastic. I stayed 5 days 1 night I had to call reception because I had no filled shampoo or body wash. I had thrown away the containers when receiving shampoo and conditioner I had told my situation to the gentleman that helped me, not once did he say I needed to keep the plastic. This was not a great experience the receptionist was a bit rude whispering to one another when I turned in my key and made me pay over $600 pesos for disposable.

Location. Liked that is it’s contained with great choice of restaurants. Very one we found great. Staff. Very accommodating, was there to our stay comfortable. Pool staff excellent. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Blasting music around the pool area. To,to loud. It’s not necessary to play it so loud. Choice of music should be considered who’s staying at the resort. The opera singer. Who on earth thought she would be a good choice of music from 8pm to 10? This is a Mexican Resort not La Scala in Milan. Her voice carried all through the rooms. We could not sleep until she was finished screeching. Disturbing. People around the pool next day would criticize the choice of the opera singer. Rooms need to be upgraded including the mattresses.

We LOVE Huatulco and Quinta Bella. The staff are amazing, the property is gorgeous, serene, tranquil. The property and the staff have such a good vibe. Awesome energy. The place is super clean. I did not want to leave! The food is so so so EXCELLENT. Love the poolside food and margaritas.

2 critiques: check in put on in a "parking lot view" room. I booked a MOUNTAIN View room. I had to pay 1400 pesos more to be moved to a Mountain View room where there was construction under our balcony. Lots of noise. I do not think the hotel should have charged me more for the room I booked in the first place PLUS has construction noise. In the hotel lobby they were working on an area where they were hanging a huge mirror. It was a blocked off area with wood and fabric partitions. The fabric had holes in it making it look "more shabby". On our last day they removed the partition. My only critique with this - they should have found nicer fabric at one of the fabric stores for the partition.

Quinta Bella is a lovely smaller hotel (although soon to be double the size with the new adjacent building currently being constructed). The two pools were very clean and the one has views to the sea. We were there near the end of the tourist season so we never had a problem getting a lounge chair during the day. The pool/beach serving staff were all very friendly and attentive. The big bonus of this hotel are the amazing restaurants on site. We enjoyed the food at all of them, but Otto was particularly excellent! We also enjoyed having our morning coffee on our balcony beside our own little plunge pool.

I think my only criticism would be the lack of friendliness of some of the reception staff. We were there for 2 weeks and when switching our beach towels rarely did the staff say hello or good day/afternoon. Even upon checking out was there a "Gracias /Thank you for your stay" or "I hope you enjoyed your stay." We were just handed our receipt. Also the hotel did not supply any maps of Huatulco or other tourist info. We found these items at other locations.

Great staff, great restaurants and a really comfortable bed. The two pools were very nice and our private patio pool was incredible! We decided to spend a little extra on the king suite with private pool and it was well worth it. The two main pools were nice but we loved our private pool so much that we spent most of our mornings and evenings in it.

Wifi wasn’t great but it was acceptable. No phone in the room could have been annoying if we needed anything like room service or maintenance issues but it really didn’t bother us. Also, the beach isn’t good for swimming but we knew that going into it so that didn’t bother us either. The one thing that definitely did bother us was the jacked up taxi prices when compared to hailing your own taxi in town. We’ve been to Huatulco before and we knew our way around so we just walked up a block and hailed our own taxi so it was fine but still it’s annoying how much cheaper they want to charge if you order one at the hotel. Basically it was double the cost so be aware of that.

The property is very conveniently located right on the beach. It has several restaurant options with good food and moderate prices. I stayed at a recently remodeled room which was very comfortable. Hotel has super friendly staff that will try to accommodate every need.

Some parts of the hotel look pretty old. There was some construction going on near my room with very loud noises. The curtains in the room were super thin so tons of light came through interrupting my sleep. Super loud speakers at the pool area playing only salsa music for 3 straight days… was pretty annoying. Service in restaurants was super friendly although was incredibly slow.

The pools and food quality were the highlight of the hotel for us. Pool was absolutely beautiful, clean, nice temperature for kids. We spent a lot of time playing and lounging there. The staff at pool and reception were attentive and helpful with advice and tips. Juan, Filipe, Nico…super nice. Food also delicious at the restaurants but not cheap. We got around to nearby beaches via affordable taxis (eg 50 pesos to Entrega beach); and the chedraui (big supermarket) is a 7 minute walk for baked goods, fruit, etc. —long lineups at peak times at chedraui though! Hotel is close to downtown crucecitas and Santa Cruz-where there are lots of nice restaurants and a 35 peso taxi ride. Lovely Friday night performance on beach.

The beds and pillows were very firm; no fridges in rooms; it would be useful to keep drinks/food cold. Without fridge, we ended up spending more money on drinks/food at hotel/restaurants. Room a bit tired but very clean. The mountain view room overlooks parking lot. We didn’t use our balcony often but that’s ok because the pool area makes up for it. There is no desk to book tours at the hotel-need to go elsewhere to do that.
