The cottage was cute and comfy, very well decorated, comfy bed and a welcoming atmosphere. Great location and easy walk to coffee and pub.
We visited midwinter, so it was cold. We found we needed both the kitchen air conditioner on, plus the log fire in the lounge ,so that it was comfy in the lounge. This was fine as long as you were staying in for the remainder of the day once the open fire was alight. Only a minor inconvenience compared to everything else which was great.

Walnut Cottage is an absolute delight. Lydia has provided the perfect place to stay and has thought of everything that you could possibly need. The added little treats and special touches were very welcome and so thoughtful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We loved our three nights in the cottage, which is in a perfect location to explore the Barossa Valley and visit the many wonderful small family owned wineries. We cannot fault our stay….just perfect.

Old world charm of the property suited our taste. Good selection of breakfast items provided which is good when you arrive with little time to shop. The property location was not to bad for what we were in the area for - Barossa, let me think - wineries, but had to drive to them as non walkable.
As mentioned above - no wineries within walking distance but otherwise no problems

Location exc. The garden was absolutely delightful - honeyeaters there every day. Bathroom terrific but wonder if there in Winter wld need extra heating as it's in a rear extension. Beds v comfortable.
House info booklet needed updating re places to eat locally - Thai place closed. Some locally produced jams for breakfast would have been a nice tough - Beerenberg does small one serve jars. The oven needed cleaning.

Cosy olde world idyllic. Excellent amenities. Lovely furnishings, drapery, linen & manchester. Generous continental breakfast supplies. Added sweet treats appreciated. Located in quite street only a few min. walk to main street. Lovely cafes & speciality food stores line the street. Short drive to other Barossa townships & multitude of wineries.
A little dark in lounge room.

Loved the history and the period inclusions in the cottage. It was extremely comfortable. Some lovely inclusions and we especially enjoyed being able to light a fire. The cottage was an easy stroll to Angaston. We loved the location. Being able to sit in the beautiful garden for a cup of tea was special. Thank you Lydia.
Cottage was very dark which took some getting used to.

It was like staying in a museum with all the modern conveniences of today. The breakfast supplies were generous and delicious, and the added bonuses of chocolates, cookies and port were greatly appreciated. Lovely to have an open fire to curl up in front of on a cold night - the reverse cycle air - con was very efficient too. Lovely to have a washing machine and somewhere to hang it after 6 weeks on the road.
Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Cute period cottage in the heart of Angaston, located on a quiet street but within a few minutes' walk to all amenities including bar, restaurant, grocery shop plus a few specialty shops eg Barossa cheese company. Very well equipped, you don't need to take anything with you, it's like a home from home (shampoo, washing powder, condiments, you name it!) Breakfast basket was excellent with enough food for a cooked breakfast, also a bottle of wine, port and juices.
Nothing really.

A beautiful period, cosy cottage with lots of individual touches left by the host. A warm log fire, electric blankets and warm bedding kept us warm despite it being winter. It was a really fantastic place to stay and the cottage had all the luxuries and comforts you’d expect.

The character of the Cottage was lovely and it was quite comfortable. Great breakfast provisions and tasty snacks. We could walk into Angaston main street.
Entry points for driveway and front path were very uneven and a bit unsafe.
