We booked this hotel a week before, following a cancellation at another hotel nearby. It was our first night of driving the NC500. The weather was cold wet and windy so we were slightly apprehensive upon arrival. Our doubts were quickly gone. The hotel has an excellent location right on the sea front (when the weather is good). It is clean and comfortable. The food was superb. The staff were extremely friendly. We ate well, enjoyed the live music, slept and continued on our journey next morning feeling very refreshed. We would definitely consider staying there again.

The weather when we arrived, but there is nothing you can do about that.

Moody hause. The family room were big and the furniture was very authentic and beautiful. The double bed was the comfiest I have EVER slept in, like literally the comfiest, howerver the single beds were unfortunately less comfy. The view from the family room was nice facing the lake. The bathroom was VERY special with a shower machine I have never seen before, but fortunately Mike was really nice and showed us how to use it. If you are reading this, THANK YOU MIKE!!!

The number of bugs/ square feet inside the room could have been lower. If you are a bug specialist travelling, I can only recommend. The amount of special bugs we have seen there...yes, as you guessed it, We weren't bug specialists:( My favorite part was the rolling curtain which had a very special butterfly design. Yes, once living butterfly, that has been pressed and mumificated.

Excellent location. Food on the evening was very good indeed. Lovely bar area and beer garden for when they get the nice weather. Breakfast was good also. The room was very comfortable but a little chilly and for a room with a view - the view was the 3 gas holders at the back of the pub. We were staying for one night only so not a problem, but if we had been staying for a few days or a week I wouldn't have been happy.

Great location right in the water in the middle of the seaside villages. Great food, drinks and staff is very attentive. Maria went out of her way to make recommendations and was super friendly. As a solo traveler that means a lot. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast served by owner Mike was made to order and fresh and delicious. I highly recommend staying here is you want a personal experience and something out of the ordinary.

On the shore of the Moray Firth,great.Free parking. Staff friendly and the lady serving breakfast was great,very nice and helpful (as was the breakfast chef) The Inn does decent food and ample portions,I had an evening meal twice,both good.Breakfast was ok and I wasn't left hungry. I had the room with the big quirky window,thought it was great :>) Shower worked perfectly fine as did everything else,WiFi was good everywhere, had to change password between room and bar,no biggy just an observation. Overall I thought,for the cost,was very good and would happily stay again. Chairs and table outside that particular room would go down a treat.

This is an observation and not a criticism. I'm a porker and found the mattress thin.As it was warm I slept on the quilt which helped.Other than that nothing. Oh yes,,,,,,,,,,before I go,,,,,,,,,,,,, Nearly forgot and this is indefensible, while there was T/coffee making facilities, NO SCOTTISH SHORTCAKE, NOT A SNIFF.We want SHORTCAKE to go with our cuppa's in the morning. Stand easy.

This is a lovely spot where you feel comfortable and very welcome. We rented three separate rooms that were spotless and very comfortable. We all enjoyed dinner and breakfast which were tasty and plentiful. If you are doing the North Coast 500 trip, do yourselves a favour and stay here. We wished we’d booked two nights! The word to describe both the Inn and the staff is delightful!!

Nothing- it was perfect

After one day it felt like coming home. Mike is a great host, always there for a little chat. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was even better. Smallish menu but really, I could have the Mac n cheese or the meatballs every day. Very generous portions. Warm and comfortable atmosphere. (thanks again for the banana "cake", Mike!) The beds were very comfortable, my room had a shower, my aunt/mum shared a room with a tub. Everything was clean with everything you need. Beautiful and peaceful location with easy access to the beach. A beer garden to enjoy the sunny weather we had. 10 minutes by car to the A9 and the next little town with everything you need for your daytrips. Also a small supermarket near by. Enough parking space in front of the house.

the view is breathtaking! And dinner was amazing. The best food we ate during our road trip, and we even had dinner at the Three Chimneys (Michelin restaurant) and the chef from Balintore Inn cooked us the most insane boeuf bourguignon and curry. The rooms are clean and proper. We also enjoyed the beer garden. We got lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy our drinks outside.

Nothing was disappointing. This is an amazing and quite place. We were also really amazed by the wifi. The best reception en wifi we had during our road trip. And we got lucky with the room, we had room number 5 with a view off the oceaan.

This is my 2nd visit to the Balintore Inn. The propritors and staff are very firndly, the food is good and hearty. I arived late, but phoned ahead and they were able to arrange a meal for me even though the kitch had closed.The rooms are at the back of the property, they are clean and comfortable. The staff are always very friendly. The inn overlooks the Cromarty Firth, so the view is spectacular.

There wasn't anything I disliked, I have stayed before so it was just as I expected it. If you are visiting don't expect a 5 star luxury spa hotel, it's an inn with rooms, comfortable, very friendly with lovely food.

Breakfast we great, and we had a great view of the water. Breakfast is cooked to order, and I really enjoyed the French press coffee. I really enjoyed the bar and they out door seating with a great view of the water

The best was not very comfortable although it appeared to be new. Just not firm enough, But that would not prevent me from returning. We stayed in room 9 and the water in the shower was only warm. Left word when we left that this was a problem and needed to be addressed. The shower only reached a cool warm temp.
