The room was huge. We stayed in Appt # 4 - the Suite du Maitre. More like a studio appartment - yet bigger. WHen srcolling though the site of Carles, you will see a room with an arch in it. That is the Suite du Maitre. Very comfortable kingsize bed with good linen. The air-con worked like a charm and we could darken the room very well. The shower cabin was a bit small, but functional and a proper showerhead. The bathroom itself was big enough for 6 people (or more ;-)) to stand in. There was a hairdryer, good towels provided and more importantly - the room was very clean! Breakfast was ever so lovely. Freshly baked croissaints and rustique brown bread - all is brought to your table. No buffet, and service with a smile and a chat with Grégoire. Good tips for the surrounding area. For sure I would stay here again. For dinner we went to L'Auberge Provencale - just around the corner from Maison Carles BnB. Leave your car, take a stroll and have a lovely meal and a nice glass of wine! Bon vacances!

Hahah - if we have to come up with something we want to say that breakfast is being service without eggs. Not boiled nor scrambled. It only struck us on the 2nd day that there were no eggs, but kept munching away on the lovely bread and yoghurts. Did not miss anything. There are no complaints. We had a lovely stay.

B&B with a typical Provencale ambience in a gorgeous village, only 15 mins drive to the nearest beach. Bars and restaurants are within an easy walking distance. We were there just for one night, but I would have loved to have been able to stay for longer in our spacious suite on the first floor. As we discovered during our previous night stays, in France a self check in is normal, which is really easy, and although the owner/manager wasn't there, he is easy to reach through the intercom. He was there for our check out and I found him very friendly. A real shame we weren't there long enough to make the most of the lovely courtyard garden. I hope to return!

Nothing that i didn't like, but a suggestion: It's the sort of place that could really make the most of the cute garden, if there had been someone available to sell us a glass of wine, we would have spent the evening there!

A very nice place with a fantastic owner. The room is clean and spacious (apartment number 6) and has everything you need for a relaxing stay: beds, a private bathroom, air conditioning, kitchen and good Wi-Fi. The breakfast is delicious and the owner is very friendly. The place has a history that adds to the pleasant feeling during your stay. The sidewalk outside is currently being replaced, and we were informed about it honestly. This may cause some noise, but it's certainly not bothersome – the work itself is nearing completion. I recommend staying here.

Everything about it was great, the rooms were beautiful, built truly well and decorated as well, you could tell that the rooms were not built as cheap as possible to rent out, but with heart and quality. The house was located in the old town, so everything was close by. The host was as kind and helpful as one can be, breakfast was delicious and well thought out. We travelled around Provence, every night sleeping in a different village and this was by far our favorite. Will definitely be visiting again next year!

The building has a rustic vibe to it which made it feel as though you're stepping back in time. We had a nice sized loft, which was great for our family of four. It was relatively easy to find free parking around the property. Gregoire and his father are great hosts, personable and supportive.

Carrying our luggage all the way to the top was a bit of a challenge, the TV doesn't have much (e.g. no way to stream or watch anything other than the standard available French channels) but other than that this was a great launchpad to explore a lot of the surrounding villages from.

We stayed at Maison Carles, near Nice, for three days during our family summer vacation. It's a pleasant, quiet, and authentic place. We were welcomed by Grégoire, a 5-star host! The room had air conditioning, everything was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was served in a beautiful, cool courtyard. When we return to Nice, we will stay at Maison Carles again. Our family thanks Grégoire for his friendliness, good humor, and kindness!

The owner met us while parking (lucky enough to find a spot directly in front), and even though we were early, he welcomed us with genuine warmth and put off his other business for later. This hospitability was true for our whole stay, including the breakfast prepared and served by him (fresh pastry, yum). Grégoire went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. The apartment is rustic in style, with original wooden beams across the ceiling but clean and bright, a pleasure to stay in. Nice, renovated bathroom. The BnB is located in a beautiful neighborhood (took a walk in the evening to explore), charming streets all around.

One of the cupboards had a strange smell and since that room didn't have any windows (it was basically the entrance to the apartment), we decided to move that bed to the living room so kids could sleep.

If one could give a 12 out of 10 I would. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The location is perfectly situated and very quiet. My room was terrific, as was the breakfast, which is a traditional French breakfast, with ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, coffee. Quite ample. There are many nice restaurants for dinner within just a few minutes walk. Free parking is available about 200 meters away. For cyclists and hikers, this location is ideal. Many excellent cycling loops from here, and hiking trails are close by too. I highly recommend this place, and I look forward to staying there again, I hope sooner rather than later.

Nothing. For me, it was perfect.

This place truly has a genius loci – a unique spirit that stays with you long after you leave. We felt immediately welcomed by the warm, family-like attitude of the owner, which made our stay even more special. The rooms were cozy and charming, decorated in a lovely French style that added to the overall sense of comfort and elegance. We absolutely loved our time here and would return in a heartbeat!

The lovely traditional village building with breakfast on pretty terrace, service was very good and met any requests made, our stay was very pleasant thank you

The road was yet to be made up which I’m sure will look great when finished parking is close by but a little far to bring heavy luggage to the house but all worthwhile when in the lovely building. The staff could not have been more helpful
