Excellent hotel within easy walking distance to local attractions and the Telemark Canal cruise berth. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and had a harbour view. Our included breakfast provided delicious options. Waterfront restaurants and bars were only a short walk away.

Staying in this hotel will be even more pleasant when the town square construction work out front is completed.

The hotel manager and her staff were attentive, helpful, good listeners, and happy. We enjoyed all interactions with the staff. The breakfast was a feast. Beautiful and delicious. Canadian hotels could really learn something about breakfasts that are included with the room. The location was superb. Right in the heart of town. They do need to re-think the front entrance. I think it needs to be more accessible for the physically handicapped. Overall, a great hotel!

The friendly staff made our group very welcome. Calling taxis was a good system and all payments were easy. The wide variety of breakfast dishes was amazing. There was also very good food in a limited dinner menu.

Until arrival, I was unaware that the area infront of the hotel was being dug up and pipes replaced below the road.

Breakfast has amazing choice, breakfast choice was good and enjoyable. The main thing was the amazing quality of the food at dinner, I had fish chowder & venison both nights because it was so good. The reception staff were amazing, perfect English and a big shout out to Dragana & Karin who really excelled and looked after us, it helped to make our stay

Fried eggs at breakfast were cold and the OJ ran out on our last morning. For this hotel I would have expected better organisation. Also disappointing the restaurant was shut on Sunday evening. However, Karin recommended an excellent Indian restaurant just 100 yards away and saved the day.

The staff at the desk was exceptional! They greeted us each time we were in the lobby and assisted us with getting a taxi without hesitation. The breakfasts were amazing! Great variety and tasted wonderful. Excellent central location.

I wasn't able to access local TV stations and did not have a subscription to Neflix.

Old style hotel in quiet town, comfortable room in the attic.

The enormous television taking so much space in the small bedroom.

Very close access to everything you wold like to see, and very good breakfasts.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was hard. There was also no AC and the building was hot. I was there at the end of August.

It was warm welcoming environment with very friendly staff. Great breakfast and very comfortable rooms

I would have preferred a pod coffee maker - I don’t do instant! First world problems I guess!

Excellent stay - the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb - something for everyone. I stayed in and had the evening meals too - all excellent.
