the location was stunning. We had a large balcony in front of our room which wasn’t entirely private and if someone lit up a cigarette (which happens far too often in Sicily), we scurried inside. The view was breathtaking.

The dinner restaurant food was ordinary. Fine for families but. head to town for a quality romantic meal. Michelin Star place took us in without a reservation. Breakfast on the terrace was very good and the ambience unbeatable.

This property is an amazing location. Right on the beach. It’s an affordable taxi to Cefalu town center for 12 euro. The view is absolutely spectacular. The beach staff was amazing. Remembered us and took great care of the swim platform. The bar staff was awesome! The breakfast was good and seating was indoor or outdoor facing the sea. Plenty of parking. Helpful front desk team. We had a 2 bedroom sea facing room and it was plenty big.

The hotel is very dated. It could be amazing if they updated in a more upscale fashion. Our room was considered updated but had black stripes up and across the ceiling which had a weird jail feeling. You had to give a deposit of 20 Euros per towel and they ran out if you wanted fresh ones. Air conditioning would not cool the room well. Pool is far from beach and sits in the parking area. Shampoo and shower gel came in small packets which was odd. Chairs on balconies banged around all night in the wind.

Lovely friendly staff and a great restaurant. The room was clean and spacious with a sea view.

It is about a 20 minute walk to the town and we didn't find any other restaurants nearby so although we chose to eat at the hotel (which was excellent) on some evenings, on others we either walked into town or drove some nights if we didn't want the walk home afterwards in the dark as the path does not follow the road.

blanket felt dirty as did the floor decor was horrible, room didn’t have a nice feel to it takeaway breakfast was a disappointment on our last night very far from the town - we went in low season and there were no buses at prime time to Cefalu town walk was 35 mins rooms were very loud, no soundproofing and kept us up at night - as did the slamming doors

wow! Wow!! WOW!! We absolutely ❤️ed this hotel!!! Everything was fantastic!!! The reception staff at check in time was fast and efficient as well as knowledgeable about the town of Cefalu & even provided us with a handy village map. The housekeeping was great & quickly brought us additional towels as well as an extra pillow when requested. The breakfast staff were wonderful & immediately brought out more food every time something needed replacing and were courteous and friendly. The freshly made coffee on request at the coffee bar was an additional bonus. The bar staff were very engaging and loads of fun & provided great drinks as well as entertaining banter. The room was absolutely fantastic with a stunning gorgeous sea view. We went swimming in the sea directly from the property, & this seafront area provided plenty beach lounge chairs. Also there was an additional bar down at the seafront with snacks & drinks. In addition, this property had a large pool, so if you prefer a swimming and lounging next to a pool in lieu of the sea, you are all set. Lastly there was a bellman who handled all of luggage as well as a free place to park our car. I give this place 10 stars out of 5!!! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed!!! Absolutely nothing! This hotel was absolutely fantastic!!!

The hotel area is gorgeous with a reasonably-priced restaurant overlooking the sea and the most beautiful private beach. The breakfast was more than you could hope for - good options also if you have food intolerances. The restaurant staff were very friendly. The hotel seems to have a lot of activities and facilities available, which unfortunately I didn't have time to explore during my short stay. The hotel is a 40-min walk / €15 taxi away from the town centre, but you'll easily also spend a few days just enjoying what the hotel has to offer.

I got a very reasonably priced offer for a room - but the price was explained by the room. It was quite small, right next to the elevator and with not much sound insulation. I could hear the elevator going up and down and people in the corridor very well to late at night and early in the morning. So although the hotel in general is great I slept very poorly if at all. I wish I had known this about the room beforehand. The other rooms in the hotel are presumably much better, and I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at Kalura. The hotel has a charm to it, and we liked that it was slightly outside of the main town. The room was a decent size with plenty of storage, and incredible views. The pool area is really nice, but also the loungers on their private beach/concrete area was great - we could have spent a lot more time at the hotel for these two areas alone.

Slight niggle that you have to leave a 20€ deposit for each beach towel, however they were happy to swap them as many times as needed throughout each day. The breakfast is okay, but slightly annoying that tables aren't set - we had to make our own place up, so there's a lot of carrying cutlery, crockery, food and drinks back and forth. We didn't particularly like how the bathroom in our room was laid out - everything opens directly into the room, however this is personal preference. The shower was fantastic.

After Palermo, in spite of its fascinating history and architecture, reminded me why traveling to big cities alone isn't really my thing, I wanted to relax a bit. The exceptional staff at Hotel Kalaru explained everything to me in perfect German and I realized that I should come back here! Next time not alone probably. The bed was extremely comfortable. One afternoon down at the beautiful and relatively protected beach was enough to make the long train ride to Sicily worthwhile. Cefalu was relatively empty on my full day there, thanks to what was probably the first rain of the season, and I was able to have a long look at the mosaics in Cefalu cathedral.

The cheapest rooms are really not comparable to the most expensive and beautiful ones with the sea view. That doesn't mean that I didn't like my room, but I guess that could be off-putting for people who expect everything to be exceptional even though they pay small money. The "rain function" of my shower was a little broken, to name the only concrete point for me. I had the impression that some of the guests from the Anglosphere had the expectation of cheap luxury while coming to Sicily, the attitude I encountered was one of entitlement with a handful of them, being impolite even towards other guests (me). And then I looked at some of the reviews here... Well, there are many respectful guests from there as well, obviously!

30 min walk to city centre, private beach, pool , free parking. We opted for sea view room .had a great balcony to lounge on later in the evening. Good value in the drinks and paninis at the beach.

Walls are paper thin, we heard someone snoring from next door for hours and the guest above was walking round for good part of the night.we were in 104. Try for upper rooms on lv 3. But we chilled on the private beach all day . Be warned the beach is not sandy . Its on a rock escarpement. Water shoes highly recomended. If you like stairs ,then you will like the built in stair master.

The beach, views, food were all wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room decor was stunning. Location excellent- we walked into town several evenings. Cefalu itself vibrant and beautiful

We put a do not disturb sign on our door as we didn’t want the cleaners in but they still went in. This happened on 2 occasions and a pair of earrings went missing. Hotel reimbursed some money but not the full cost of the loss. You had to pay additional fees to use the tennis courts and pool tables.
