Location great, lovely walk along the promenade to old town. Balcony with sea view and sunset view. Rooftop pool and sun beds. Excellent Spa if you wish to use, personally not my thing. Lift that was always working. Breakfast was good, warm food available on request. The owner was always around checking that everything was ok. Staff were so obliging and helpful, to name a few, Federico, Miriam, Giuseppe, both ladies on reception and the lady chef that cooked the omelettes, her name escapes me. The pianist on an evening was very good and created a relaxed atmosphere in the bar area. Hotel was 5 minute from supermarket and other shops and restaurant’s outside of the old town. Train station a 10-12 min walk from the hotel. Would recommend for 4 or 5 night stay.

Only a minor thing, but when age is not on your side it is difficult to carry a suitcase up the steps to reception from the roadside.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Hotel in Cefalù. The location couldn’t be better - right by the sea, just a short walk from the old town, with breathtaking sunsets every evening. Our room was modern, spotless, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view and all the amenities we needed. The rooftop pool and terrace were a highlight - perfect for relaxing with a drink while enjoying the view. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of fresh options to start the day. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend this hotel

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. We travelled all around the island of Sicily for 1x week, staying in 6x different hotels. Sunset Hotel was my favorite. We had a beautiful room with our own private jacuzzi on balcony overlooking the beach strip and beautiful old town of Cefalu. This hotel had a beautiful rooftop Infiniti pool with fabulous 360 view of Cefalu. Beautiful breakfast in the morning. About 10-15 min walk to old town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately rebook again and stay longer next time. Thank you for a very memorable experience. Regina

Immaculate with super stylish furniture, decor and design throughout. Rooftop terrace with amazing 360 degree views and infinity pool was outstanding. Staff were all exceptional , so welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be especially Salvatore who was brilliant. Breakfast was good quality. On our last morning we left very early and they made us a little travel pack up to take with us and made us coffee before we left which was much appreciated. The pianist was delightful and gave a lovely ambiance. A quality hotel that we would encourage anyone to stay at. Peaceful with beaches opposite and a short walk to town and all attractions. For quality and cleanliness it was top notch. We were very sad to leave.

A few practical additions would have made it even better, drawers for clothes, more coat hangers (three times more was needed ) , a towel rail in the bathroom, bath robes and a music system for your iPhone. More plugs especially for phones by beds. Pool was very cold which limited our time in it. A few more egg options such as omelettes would have been nice.

The staff was very friendly and helped me book a cab for a very early morning departure to the train station. The hotel is a short walk from several beach clubs where you can rent chairs for around 20 Euros for the day. It's around a 20 minute walk to Old Town. The best part is the view from the rooftop pool of Old Town and La Rocca and as the name suggests, the sunsets from the hotel are beautiful. Comfortable rooms, plenty of communal space to enjoy drinks and watch the sunset and the pool area is great.

The hotel wasn't able to offer beach chair rentals until June 1 by order of the town. Not the hotel's fault by any means and you can walk about 10 minutes to beach clubs to rent chairs. But just a note in case you come at the end of May like I did.

The breakfast was very good; made-to-order omelets, a variety of Sicilian pastries, excellent coffee. The hotel appears very new, and everything is very well-appointed. Loved the live piano music from the lobby, that frequently permeated the evening air, with beautiful old standards. Close to the beaches, easily walkable to the historic old town, cathedrale, Rocca, restaurants. The hotel has underground car parking for a reasonable price; making it perfect for our Sicilian roadtrip. Staff was super helpful. Rooftop pool with awesome views is very memorable!

The rooms are small, but comfortable. The property serves breakfast and lunch, but no evening restaurant. However, there are numerous restaurants and bars a short, lovely walk away along the beautiful promenade to historic old town. The location of the hotel is more on the edge of the central part of the city, as opposed to the heart of old town, and has some local "color", including an occasional barking dog in the surrounding neighborhood.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the hotel. The roof top infinity pool had an amazing view of Cefalu and the beach and was very relaxing. Our rooms were very clean and modern and bathrooms well equipped with a powerful shower. All the staff were friendly. The location was perfect for us, close enough to walk 5 mins along the promenade to the town but far enough away to be peaceful. Breakfast included scrambled egg and bacon with hash browns and a selection of fresh rolls and pastries, fruit, juices and tea/coffee, cereals and ham and cheese.

Honestly, we would not hesitate to go back to Sunset hotel. A better one would be hard to find. If we had to pick anything that could be improved, it would be the temperature of the coffee in breakfast but that isn't a massive issue and certainly wouldn't stop us going back!

Nice location and access to the beach. Easy to navigate with traveler needing walking assistance. Breakfast was wonderful. Shout out to Marta at the reception desk for assisting us with our stay. And to the evening waiter who managed every table.

This is not under the control of the hotel but one side of the hotel is adjacent to an trailer with an unkept yard and dogs that bark frequently.

We stayed at Sunset Hotel in early November for six days (sea view, 2:nd floor, west: which is to recommend). Our price was 120 euro per night, which was cheap considering the great facalities. The hotel with staff was great, with a infinity pool on the roof. Big lounges, plenty of space inside and putside and a 10 min walk to the old town and the beach just outside the hotel (on the other side of the street). At this time of the year Cefalu is quite calm. During high season it may be much more crowded.
