The hotel was not to far from the interstate highway and we found it easily. The check in staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. He answered all our questions before we could ask. The room was very nice and clean, similar to the big chain 3-4 star hotels. Our room was in the third building away from the main road. So it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent and delicious. The food selection was the same as any other hotel we stayed in on our road trip. Though I thought it was well organized and laid out orderly. The food area was average in size. I liked the breakfast because the food was delicious.

Nothing to complain about.

The staff were very kind and friendly! When I had an electrical problem in my room, one staff member came to my room and quickly fixed the problem by moving a heavy refrigerator. The staff was also kind to me when I forgot my room key. I couldn't be more grateful😭 Also, as the one from outside the U.S., I was happy that the room had a microwave and freezer so I could try American frozen foods and some deli. It was also very impressive that I could go to a nearby river and easily get in touch with beautiful nature of Eugene.

The balcony was nice, but my room was on the first floor, so I could not use it that much. That's all.

Main building had it all! Great staff, clean smelling, new, everything worked well, exercise room and breakfast were very good. We were able to check into one room early to store luggage and freshen up!!

We requested rooms close to each other. The first desk clerk (David?) let us know the second room was not ready, but failed to mention where it was. 1/2 our party were sent WAY to back old building. The "water view" was a musty old creek as was the room. We tried to change but front desk said nothing was avail in main building. our friends then came back to front desk after spending a few minutes in back room. Both had headaches from the smell. The evening desk clerk was able to move them into the main building.

It was new and modern feeling and looking. Everything was clean and well kept. They offered a really good breakfast with a lot of great food options as well as coffee, tea, and juices. The room was very clean modern and spacious.

Our original room was on the 3rd floor of a separate building but there was only stair access. That wasn’t going to work with all of our luggage. I’m sure the listing mentioned it but I missed that info. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that has multiple floors but no elevator, I just didn’t expect it. The young lady that checked me in switched our room with no problem. I didn’t know it was in the university area. It was busier than I wanted but it was directly across from the university of Oregon.

Excellent location, right across the street from U of O. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable beds, plenty of parking, good breakfast and good coffee. We really liked the way our bathroom was laid out in the Hilyard building. There was a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink with vanity, and another vanity with the sink right outside of the main bathroom, which was very convenient for us. They also have a Keurig coffee maker in the room, which made good coffee. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view of the river behind the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are visiting the university.

Location was excellent for proximity to Hayward Field. The room was squeaky clean and there was a full set of toiletries including vanity kit, which I wasn't expecting. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well with the fan on. They also extended check-out by an hour on marathon day which was great! I stayed in the Franklin building and had a tiny balcony. I didn't use it but being able to open the door was great for some fresh air.

The bed shook when someone in the room next door walked around. I stayed in a 3rd floor room in the building with no elevator which was fine for me and the staff were transparent about it, but it could cause issues for others.

The inn is wasy to locate from the freeway. There was ample parking. It is a refurbished hotel, and well done. Visually lovely. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a huge (nice) shower, towels were thick, two armchairs with an end table, and a desk area with desk chair that was the preferred height for computer work. The breakfast had cheese omelettes, which were a nice surprise, plus other choices. The dining area is spacious, light filled and pleasant to dine. There is a bar, which I didn't visit. I only stayed one night, but I could have stayed longer as it was comfortable, convenient, safe and nicely decorated.

Although the windows are double glazed, the sound from the street below is obtrusive. At one point the room on the third floor shook. A small earthquake? Or a heavy truck trundling past? It was noisy. If you have a choice, find a room further away from the main road.

Very nice set up, the lobby is gorgeous. It is all beautiful and redone. There is a nice little bar/ restaurant inside which got so packed and they only had one server. It took forever and ever with long lines to get one drink as we were there during an event... We were starving from traveling and getting the server to take our order for food with a whole other thing. The front desk was exceptionally friendly. The rooms have been redone. You can tell that they are a bit older. But look very nice and comfortable with amenities that work as needed. There are multiple restaurants right within walking distance and the venue for our event right across the street. Would stay again... But be aware if you are looking for something to eat and there is an event happening.Everything is so packed full with super long lines. You will be hard pressed to find anything in a reasonable time.

We choose the Hayward any time we come town to visit our Duck. It's close enough to walk to Autzen, Matthew Knight Arena or the dorms. It's pet friendly, always clean, the breakfast is reliable, and the staff are great.

The indoor pool was a bit chilly. We experienced this last January as well. If you're choosing a hotel based on indoor pool, you might want to pick a different one. Both visits my 4 and 6 year old ended up playing in the pool shower because the water was too cold. (And when we got to the pool this visit there were two teenagers huddled in the shower as well; so I don't think it's just us!)

Room was fantastic. Location was perfect as I walked to a concert event at Matthew Knight Area across the street. Very good breakfast selections and space. I used the pool and the fitness center looked good too. I was surprised by the on site bar and apparently a good selection of goodies for sale in the lobby too.

This is a crowded part of town and understandably challenging parking access. But the staff had extra overflow parking and day passes for the community lots across the side street. No extra charge for parking.
