The room was very nice and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area and junglely environment with the pleasant sound of a nearby rushing river. So nice considering you are pretty much in the middle of a city. Breakfast was terrific and huge and only $10 per person. It's not a luxurious place, but definitely a great value for the price.

I know that it's difficult to provide transportation from/to the airport, but being an English speaking American and first time traveler to CR, getting a taxi from one of the many taxi hawkers at the airport is intimidating. Person at Trapp estimated it would be about $10, but taxi driver at airport said $15. This is not a complaint about Trapp or the money per se, it's just the "negotiation" process that I hate, especially with the chaos of an airport, customs, luggage, language, etc..

The Trapp Family Country Inn was a perfect place to spend the night near to San Jose airport. We arrived at the airport at 6pm and didn't want to begin our drive to Puerto Viejo at night. We found it very easy and convenient to stay at the Trapp Family Country Inn, and then pick up our rental car at the airport in the morning. Our taxi driver had no issues finding this location after dark, and a receptionist greeted us for check-in. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. A great stay!

Everything was wonderful.

This little hotel is a complete gem. It is exactly as in the pictures .Wonderful first night in CR. A traditional building with lovely veranda under the trees. It is 600m (yes 600m) from the AVIS car rental office at airport but not under flight path so minimal noise. The garden is so beautiful, the rooms, restaurant and pool are simple but ample and clean. Staff helpful. Good directions for getting west/north . Already booked to return.

More fresh fruit with breakfast .....can't think of anything else

The rooms and beds were big, and the pool area was nice. There was a small lounge near dining area where people watched the Super Bowl. Nice to have a restaurant on site. The staff were kind in booking us a cab to go to airport for an early morning flight. The lovely big trees around were great. And it was a distance off the main road so less noisy except for the jets.

Our bedside light didn’t work. The restaurant menu was very limited and meat based.

This was the perfect place to stay the night before departing from San Jose airport. It's only a mile away. You are in the middle of the city, turn onto a dirt road and through tbe security gate into a secluded tropical paradise! The rooms are very clean and large, and the restaurant was great and fairly priced. Would highly recommend if you're looking to get close to the airport the day before your flight.

Lovely place, big rooms, refreshing pool, close to airport (5 min), very helpful and friendly staff. Good food. Only 8 rooms, so happy to get to be here for 2 nights before leaving Costa Rica,

Musquitos and planes, no a/c. Didn't bother us, but could be annoying. Paid 20 dollar for taxi from airport. That was way too much! (Staff made sure we only had to pay 10 dollar going from hotel to airport)

Location was perfect from the airport. Great communication with staff, beautiful Inn I wish I could have stayed longer. The staff definitely goes above and beyond! I will be recommending it to my friends the are going to Costa Rica. I really wish I could have stayed here for days, it so beautiful!

I’m a little spoiled with my creature features at home. I wish there would have been a small refrigerator in the room. It was perfect without it.

The bed was clean and comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful, the food was good and decently priced. Also, the place is quite nice and quiet (if you ignore the noise from the airport nearby) and conveniently close to SJO (5-10 minutes by car).

My main comment is about the noise. I had the first room in the hotel building and could hear the hall door banging whenever someone entered the building. The windows/doors to the outside are also quite thin, so expect to hear the nearby airport. I had earplugs and slept well nonetheless.

This place is in oasis. There’s a 300 year old tree that is so majestic. The property is gorgeous. The rooms are clean and the beds are Actually, queen sized. The dinner in the restaurant was also very good. It’s also very near the airport.

Because it is near the airport there’s of course noise from the airport, but I would still stay here again every time.

We needed an airport hotel for the night, it’s close by for convenience and set in a relaxing large garden that is well maintained with a pool. You can hear the big jets taking off but that didn’t disturb our nights sleep, we slept well in a large room with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Airport taxi arranged by hotel cost $10 and arrived early for our 04.00 transport.
