The hotel met our expectations and was as described. The shuttle from the airport worked well. The breakfast was filling and convenient having just arrived in the country. They had a pack 'n play for our baby to sleep in. The pool was fun and warm enough in March. This hotel was great for our first and last nights in Costa Rica. Note there is an unrelated restaurant brewery in the same complex where we were able to have dinner on our last night - this was convenient as well (though the food was only so-so, beers were great).

If you have small children, be careful of the slippery tiles around the pool. They are easy to slip on even when not running, and our kid got a big cut.

Check in was quick and painless, the front desk person was very lovely and helpful, offering extra towels as we had 4 kids with us. We did t have a chance to explore the restaurant or fermentizadora, as we arrived at midnight and checked out at 5:30am

We had contacted the hotel to arrange transfers into the hotel. When we got to the pick up spot it seem that a group that had not requested a transfer was insistent to be take to the hotel. Which meant we had to wait extra 45 minutes to check in. We usally don't mind this kind of.thing but we were traveling with 4 kids and they were so grouchy and upset. My kiddos ended up passing out on the floor. I could tell the rep felt terrible about this. My only suggestion would be to have a clearer policy for requesting transfers, as I think the previous group should have been made to wait, not our group.

This is a delightful little hotel tucked into a completely unexpected location. It’s in a very modest neighborhood that you wind through until you’re sure you’re lost, and then there’s a charming little oasis. The room was everything you need for an overnight near the airport. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our airport shuttle was waiting for us (early, even!) when we came down at 4:20 a.m. it took about 10 minutes to get to the airport. Needless to say, we were too early for breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. The attached restaurant and brewery were very nice. We didn’t have a meal, but the menu looked good. It was a pleasant and comfortable place for a drink.

Great location for the airport, next to a busy road but didn't hear traffic noise from the room. Wonderful restaurant/bar attached to the hotel with local brewed beer and great food, reasonably priced. Also nice garden area and the pool looked fine, nice bonus although we didn't have the chance to use it. Free one way shuttle to the airport was efficient and much appreciated for our early 5am start. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not much to do in the immediate surroundings but ideal place to stop over for the airport.

Love this place! It's got a post-colonial/Graham Greene/Early Bond vibe going on. The kind of place where the CIA would meet shady local informants to do deals but in very cool surroundings. It's totally incongruous as well, off what is essentially a loud, busy ring road there's this oasis of calm and cool. Think wood paneling, low lighting with a scattering of objects d'art around and maybe a martini or two and you've got the vibe. Awesome place and would 100% recommend.

Not a lot - I mean, they have an onsite brewery - what's not to love? Even the welcome for just one night was great.

- There is an excellent restaurant with nice staff. Furthermore, they brew their own beer. The restaurant and hotel are in the same building, but do no belong together. - Nice garden with melons and a charming park with a pool to relax - Secure district and close to the airport. - Good price for two people. You won't get a better deal near the airport, in my opinion. - Nice and free hotel shuttle.

- When registering, you have to write down your passport number on a document, where everybody is listed. I could see all the data of other clients. I mentioned it to the staff and did not react much to it. - The bathroom ventilation sounds like a helicopter. - Loud hallways because they do not have any rugs. - The door felt very hard to close and unsafe. Outside the door frame, you could look a tiny bit in our room. - The breakfast is average. - At night, some pumps were running for several hours. I guess it was their water pump. It was very loud, and I had to use earplugs.

Very convenient to San Jose Int’l airport but quiet for sleeping. Neighborhood is not inspiring but the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped so it’s a little oasis. Rooms have a small safe, two large beds, AC, TV and table w/ chairs. Bed is comfortable. Wifi was good for us. If you arrive after 9:00 p.m. the restaurant might be closed/closing (we were still able to get food to go which we ate in our room). Breakfast is typical: eggs, beans/rice, fruit, bread. Coffee was good (also typical for Costa Rica). We went to Bahia Drake/Corcovado and had luggage limits; we were able to leave some at the hotel until our return for continuing elsewhere in the country. Staff speak English well enough to manage without Spanish.

Hotel pays for airport taxi one way. It was easy to find our contact when we exited the airport but we did have to wait 10-15 minutes for our taxi. Hotel called a taxi for us when we left and that was easy (US$13).

It was close to the San Jose Airport and offered free transport. Very pleasant with the gardens all around, the great breakfast and the restaurant for the evening. Helpful staff who let us store luggage while we went out to the La Paz gardens. No frills compared to resorts but safe, clean and reasonable.

It’s in a tough looking area but once you drive through the gates it’s quite lovely.

Loved this place! We swam in the pool, and the grounds are beautiful. They have a restaurant on site and it was very good. We stayed here because we were flying out of San José Airport the next day. Great location for the airport with free transport. They are very organized and had our cars for 8 people ready at 12:30 pm!

There is no choice for breakfast. You get a buffet or nothing. It was reasonably priced at $8 American dollars. It consisted of scambled eggs, beans and rice, fruit, and toast with margarine (ugh), coffee, and juice (not fresh squeezed). No elevator, either.

I checked in at 2 PM and only stayed overnight but the room was comfortable and the bar had a lounge area where I could comfortably have a craft beer (made on site). The restaurant service was excellent and the meal was superb. The airport shuttle service was a 6 minute drive provided at 4 AM. The site was worth the walk around. A park like setting with one of the biggest mango trees I have seen. The perfect place to begin or end your Cost Rica adventure.

The lighting was a little bright, a softer bulb in the side lamp would be nice.
