We ended up booking when we arrived in Amiens as our other host cancelled after we had driven from the south of France. This is a little gem of a hotel and it was such a good little find. The owner is very hospitable and took us in as a family of 5 at 7pm. The beds were comfy (we had two rooms between the 5 of us), the breakfast was lovely and the location is perfect- right by the incredible cathedral. It’s old school and that is what gives it its charm. Would stay again as a stop over when travelling through France.

The location is in the heart of Amiens only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral de Notre Dame Amiens. The Hotel is an old French building. There is no free parking, although at certain times I suspect you can park on the roads. We paid to park in the Hotel's small garage which is only available between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm; this suited our needs. The staff were very helpful and had some English which helped with our basic French; they advised us of places to visit and areas to eat - Little Venice by the River was very scenic. The buffet breakfast was good value and typically French: croissant, yoghurts, cereal, eggs, cheese, baguette and jam. The room was clean but very compact, not for lounging in. Amiens is a very interesting place to visit; the Cathedral is beautiful and worth a visit and especially for the nightly lightshow. The Jules Verne Museum is also worth a visit. We stayed here to visit the battlefields of the Somme which are nearby.

A slightly bigger room would have been preferable.

It was a single room and sufficient to my needs. There was a toilet en suite. It was in walking distance to groceries, restaurants, Jules Verne's House, and launry.

The parking arrangements made me nervous. There were four slots and early/late arrivals interfered with other arrivers. I opted to park on the street. I didn't understand the hours or policies on the streets, so I was constantly concerned about getting a ticket. (I didn't). The people above me came in late each night with rambunctious kids whose gymnastics transmitted through the ceilings. Irksome.

The room was very basic but we paid a very low price. It was clean enough and made a great place base for exploring around the area.

The toilet room needed redoing. There was no ventilation fan or window in the bathroom and so there was lots of mould on the walls.

The location was very central and suited for my requirements very well. There was a selection of good restaurants and essential shops within close walking distance. I particularly liked the garage parking at Hotel De Normandie for my motorcycle that gave security and ease of access to the Hotel as an overnight transit stop.

The Hotel decor is a little dated, but very adequate and good value. I much prefer smaller independent places to the larger corporate ones.

This old-fashioned hotel was just what we needed - with its location on a side street less than 10 minutes walk from the station and also from the cathedral and other sights. The receptionist was very helpful. Our top-floor room (no lift!) looked out over the roof-tops and was very quiet. The room was clean, the water in the shower was hot. Breakfast had a nice selection of breads, croissants, cheeses, yogurts, etc.

It is a really character filled hotel, in a period building, it doesn't have en-suite toilet etc, but that did not bother us. The breakfast was really nice in a beautiful room. The location is central and really convenient to walk around the centre of the town, and visit the cathedral, which is truly inspiring. I would recommend this hotel highly. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location and accessibility very good our campervan and bikes on back fitted in garage .

Bed was squeaky when you moved and outside noise was a bit much , no tea or coffee facilities.

Old style budget hotel. Very close to the station. Comfortable bed. It's hard to say much more.

The main issue is the hotel is noisy: you can hear a lot going on within the hotel. Just the result of it being an old construction. For this sort of accommodation, I'd love a refrigerator in the room. No other complaints, I would stay again.

Brilliant small family run art deco hotel in middle of Amiens. Exceptional value for money. Staff could not have been more helpful and flexible. Super clean facilities and bed linen and mattress were of a quality that you rarely find even in so-called 5 star hotels
