Gorgeous outdoor pool area. Welcome drink & cake on arrival. Room was spacious and bright. Super location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, bridge etc. Don't hesitate to book here. I spent two weeks in Kanchnaburi and this was the third place I stayed and by far the best. The employees are lovely.

Nothing. It was great. I note the absolutely ridiculous review here complaining about a kettle and the protective plastic on the key card?!!! ... And giving a low score. That review is unfair and does not reflect this property.

One of my favorite stays in Thailand in Kanchanburi. It was within close proximity to the Bridge on the River Kwai and the night markets. My son loved the facilities and we love the focus on the children. They have indoor and great outdoor play with a beautiful pool and garden to enjoy. The rooms are airy and beautifully and aesthetically decorated. Loved the little kitchenette with all the tea and coffee facilities and cookies. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kanchanburi. Even the 7/11 is just around the corner.

Absolutely nothing

The staff at the Modeva were exceptional. This has been our favorite place to stay during our 3 weeks in Thailand. The rooms and communal areas were spotless. The bed was super comfortable. The staff even brought us a little drink and fruit treat each day while we sat by the pool. The owners clearly value the property. Pool spotlessly clean, chairs covered when not in use. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again. The reception organized a scooter hire but you can easily walk to restaurants bars and attractions.

Beautiful hotel with awesome staff. This property is off the busy road with some traffic but close enough to walk to restaurants, bars… The room is big, bright with everything you need. The mini bar is stocked with water, coke, chocolate bars. You also get nibbles like chips all included in your stay. It’s restocked daily. The grounds and pool area are also great. We had complimentary drinks delivered to us by the pool which was appreciated! Massages by the pool were also awesome, 300tbh Thai massage, 400tbh oil massage. The staff is always so helpful!

The property is in a great location, just a 15 min walk from the Bridge with lots of restaurant options along the way There is a lovely pool and relaxation area for adults, games provided for children and drinks available too. Room rates are very reasonable. The staff are very attentive and can’t do enough for you. We had forgotten our adapter plug and when I explained this to reception they offered to lend us one which was very helpful. We also needed to get to the train station for 6.45am and they organised us a tuk tuk to take us, made our return journey seamless.

Nothing - everything was great

A beautiful property on a quiet street. We stayed here to visit the Somboon Elephant Sanctuary. We got moved to a larger family room as ours was being renovated. So we had lots of space! The staff were lovely, I left my sunglasses by accident and they came over to the train station to return them before I’d left. The pool and gardens are lush, clean and well kept. With comfy deck chairs and loungers. It feels very secure and they close all the front and back doors at night downstairs too. They let us chill by the pool after we checked out until we were ready to leave and ordered us a tuk tuk to the station.

The road outside is quiet and a fair walk to the main area. Might be best to get a taxi or tuk tuk at night.

The staff was nice. The location is nearby the convenience store, so it’s easy to access food late at night. Also, the facilities are comfortable. There is an elevator for moving the heavy luggage or supporting disability.

The bathtub's drain system was broken in my room. I need to call the maid to help to drain the water. Also, the blanket is too warm for us even when we turn the air conditioner to 16 degrees, but it does not help.

The hotel was very modern and clean. The swimming pool was refreshing and also clean. We got a tasty welcome drink. We arrived before check in time, but we could already enter our room. Our room was on the first floor on the garden side. It was spacious, had airconditioning, flipflops (for the pool), bathrobes, a mini fridge, very clean sheets and a great bed and good pillows. The bathroom was also nice with a good shower and immediate hot water. Near the hotel was a very good restaurant: JK. The bridge over the river kwai and the museum and cemetery are on walking distance (less than 2 km). After we checked out we could leave our luggage there the whole day till we got picked up.

The only thing we missed in the room was a safety box. The trashing in the toilet had no lid on it (there was no smell though).

We absolutely loved everything about it, which also made us extend our stay twice. The rooms are spacious and very modern furnished, the beds are super comfortable and everything is of high quality and spoltlessly clean. It is also really well equipped if you are travelling with children. There are socket fuses, a baby cot and in the family suite even a bathroom stool and shelves with children's books. Most importantly: the owner, her family and all of the staff are so nice! They really got out of their way to help us and make us enjoy our stay to the fullest. They made us feel like part of the family. We got welcome fruits and drinks and everytime we stayed at the pool, someone brought us drinks. They also saw our childs needs without us having to ask for. They put lots of balls into the pool to play with, when we were there and even brought us something to paint for him while we were spending some time at the terrace. The owner recommended us places to visit and different restaurants, which where all great recommendations. They don't offer breakfast, but you can walk to a very nice place in about 10 minutes to have breakfast there. You can easily walk from here to the bridge or to the more busy streets, but it is quiet at night here. It has a beautiful garden, a swimming pool, table football, swing chair, trampoline, shaded playground for kids and a really nice lobby with a refrigerator where you can buy some drinks. In the lobby, there is also water and some cookies for free, a shelf full of books, games and toys for children. We would definitely stay here again and are already sad to leave.

Great location near the bridge. Modern & big bright room with plenty of space to spread out and put your bags. Shower & bath - loved that they provided a bath bomb to use. Friendly staff. Good pool. Highly recommend.

Cleaners started cleaning with vacuum cleaner about 7.15am. Noise carries in hotel and you hear other guests in the stairwell etc. doors closing etc.
