excellent hotel as can be expected with the Hyatt Group. especially to mention the pool bar and the extremely friendly barman Frenday and Simon, who attended top notch. Breakfast buffet with everything that one can think of... thanks to all..

Our arrival process was very smooth and the kind staff helped us with our luggage. Sadly our room was not ready yet when we arrived but it did not matter as we went for a nice lunch at the restaurant of the hotel. The service provided was attentive and professional, exactly what you would expect from this type of hotel. The Japanese restaurant was very good for dinner and were happy that we took the moment to do so. Moreover, after having eaten rice for breakfast for the past 2 weeks, I was very pleased to enjoy the intercontinental breakfast at the hotel. There was an abundance of food options which made me very happy and fully satisfied my needs.

Although the room was nice and spacious, you can see the interior has become worn out and thus needs to be refurbished.

We stay here every time we come to Kota Kinabalu. It’s an exceptionally good hotel with really great staff. The facilities - including the gym and spa - are really very good good. The breakfast is spectacular and the pool bar is a really nice place to hang out (and they have craft beer!). The rooms themselves are extremely clean, well equipped, comfortable, and spacious.

The food and drink are a touch expensive, and there was a small mistake with the timing of our spa booking. But very minor things nowhere near enough to make us not stay here again in future!

The location is strategic, it is walking distance to many of the eateries and supermarket. You can also watch the sunset at the deck near the swimming pool. It is astonishing. The breakfast is amazing. The receptionist was very warm welcoming. The room is very comfortable.

We used the meeting room in the hotel. It was bad, the aircond was malfunction, operating from standing fan. The banquet staff doesn't keep an eye to clean up the plates after eating. The wifi is pretty slow. The TV in the room is on satelite tv with very blurred image despite it is a smart tv, youtube and other app are not available.

Location, room size and comfort, and of course, excellent staff. Must mention Ka Yee the Client Experience Manager, she really looked after us throughout our stay.

Little improvements will go a long way, e.g. notepad by the phone, better lighting in the washbasin area (couldn't see myself while shaving!), and no soap-dish! Also, the sliding panels are really old and creaky, falling off the track at times. These are not expensive improvements, but they will go a long way for long-stayers like us (2 to 4 weeks average).

1) The room is big. 2) The interior design is traditional. 3) The open toilet concept. 4) USB ports are provided for phone charging. 5) The location is very good within walking distance to the seafood restaurants at the waterfront.

1) The TV was so old-fashioned. The TV reception was blurr. It is time to replace the TV with Internet TVs with easy access to YouTube which I watch everyday. 2) Clothes and towel hangers should be provided in the toilet and shower cubical. 3) The design ergonomics of the toilet is lacking. The sink is too high and too forward requiring users to lean forward. The rain shower should be installed nearer the wall to minimise water splashing at the door.

Location was so nice. Breakfast was relatively fine and staffs were so kind and eager to help. Swimming pool is also well maintained. The seaside view at the poolside was great.

However, even though it is not the fault of the hotel but city view was horrible since there is a building which is under construction. It seems like paused without any activities. Also, some bad smell from street made us feel so bas experience on swimming.
