I absolutely loved the location of this hostel. It’s only a short train ride from busy Ikebukuro and a super short walk from the station to the hostel. The area has everything you could need and more, restaurants, supermarkets etc. The staff here were incredibly friendly and welcoming! I also liked the spacious lounge and bathrooms downstairs, it was quiet and a nice place to relax.

As others have mentioned, those steep and narrow stairs are a nightmare with massive bags. But once you conquer them it’s all good. The capsule room itself was a little smaller than some and the tiny lamp didn’t provide much light but otherwise I had a lovely stay.

The location is very near to the metro station and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The mattress was also confortable and there are several convenience stores around.

The door of my dorm had an alarm that went off many times and it was not fixed so I had to use ear plugs for the whole week of my stay. But overall, a very nice place.

Great location outside of town. A station is just right around the corner, along with a 7 eleven and Family Mart that have great items and service. Make sure to also check out the Snoop Burger nearby for the best burger you'll ever have.

The other people staying here could have been a bit more respectful to other guests that were also here at the time. Often at even 12AM there would be someone stomping around and slamming their stuff in the wash sink area like no one else was around or sleeping. Staff do provide ear plugs but I kinda wish they just had quiet hours inside the rooms at certain points of the day.

A great place to stay in Tokyo, but people must have something in mind: It is not a backpackers hostel, it's a guest house, that works on the same model (shared rooms, bathrooms and all that) but It is a more chill and quite place to stay. It's a bit far from central Tokyo so you will take a while to get to the main places, fortunate the train station is really near the hostel. But I liked it since it gave me more experience by staying in a more suburban area. A lot of convenience stores around, this was good also. The facilities are well maintained, very clean and the bed it's really confortable with plenty of space inside the cubicle.  The common area it's pretty good to stay at, lot of outlets, tables and armchairs. Also, there is two fridges, giving a good room for all the guests edible items. The free coffee is a nice add as well. Laundry is located on the rooftop, the washmaschines worked just fine but the driers just gave a help in drying the clothes.  Staff of the place really caring and payed good attention to the guests' needs.  A really good place to stay, kind of surprising the quality giving the price. Worth It.

Everything was fine, nothing to complain about

It was clean and well provided. Many shower, many sink. The basement room is really comfy and well provided to have meal. You can use microwave, free coffee or tea. Plate, cup, bowl, fork, everything is available. The first two nights some people were making noise late in the night, and I barely slept. So I asked for another bed, and they change my bed to another level with people who were more respectful and smaller room, so less people too. And I slept very well. The rooftop is a nice place to stay under the sun and you can dry your close too. The staff was very helpful and nice. Really understanding. I really appreciate they found a solution to change my bed location after my complain. Thank you. Only 15 minutes by train to ikebukuro and station is only 4 minutes by walk from the guesthouse.

People who are noisy late at night. But staff and the guesthouse can't do anything about bad manner behavior.

The sleeping berths were big, specious and clean. The futons were comfy. There was a very big spacious common space in the basement.

All the showers for the first floor were also n the basement. And it was a bit of a trek to get there and back to your room.

Nice, quiet suburban neighborhood but near a train station and plenty of nice restaurants and amenities within walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff ready to give tips and advice. Nice lounge area with a tatami section. There's always staff around cleaning and fixing things so it's well maintained.

It is some ways from the center so you end up spending more time/money on transport. And while they keep it clean the place has clearly seen its fair share of guests and feels a bit worn out. Also, in the dorm I stayed in there are gaps in the door leading to the shower room where people could just look right in - it wouldn't hurt to close them up so people could use it without worrying about being seen.

+ The hostel is only a few minutes' walk from the train station; many possibilities to buy groceries and amenities nearby. + The bed was comfortable. There's a lamp and power outlet included in the cabin. + A choice of different seating arrangements in the basement, so you can choose the one that is most comfortable for you. Power outlets near most tables. + Free coffee and manga to read in the basement.

- It was often a little noisy at night when people were checking in late or leaving early as the cabin walls are very thin. There's also not much space to leave your luggage. - Only one bathroom (shower, wash stand, toilet) in the room, so you had to either wait or go to the basement if it was in use by someone else.

Location of the hostel was really nice, it's located in a quiet & a very pretty neighbourhood but only 5mins on the train to Ikebukuro station which has links to all tourist locations in Tokyo. There are lots of great food options in the area, a couple of convenience stores but also a fruit & veg store as well as a proper supermarket 1min from the hostel. The lounge area was great as it had a coffee machine & free tea, there are very comfy chairs to chill and there are tables if you need to work on your laptop with good wifi. Laundry facilities are available on the top floor and you can buy detergent at the reception. Beds in the room were very comfy and overall I had a fantastic stay, I would highly recommend choosing this hostel

It’s a 20 min commute from Shinjuku which was very convenient for me. The area is very residential yet there are convenience stores, food places and everything available, feels very safe and a nice switch up from the bustling noisy Tokyo. The property itself was clean and neat, I liked the rooftop and the common room spaces. The beds were clean too. The thing that truly made it a good experience is the staff, they were the most helpful and accommodating. They helped me get my suitcase up the stairs as well were extremely helpful when I almost lost my passport.

The sheer amount of stairs to get anywhere, after a long day of walking around in Tokyo the last thing I want to do is climb 3 sets of stairs. Additionally if you are like me and come back late, going all the way down to shower could be an exhausting experience. Also it’s my fault for leaving them out, but someone stole my slippers, very sad. Be wary that the spaces between beds are quite narrow so storing ur bags there or re-packing would be an issue.
